TORONTO (ResourceInvestor.com) -- Well-sponsored Western Uranium Corp [TSXv:WUC] which closed today up 10 cents at C$3.70 per share announced this morning that Cameco [TSX:CCO; NYSE:CCJ] would acquire a 10% interest in the company at C$3.80 per share....
....Some Highlights / Catalysts
Western will have significant news flow including drill results over the coming months. Western is doing a spin out of its lithium assets which include potentially one of the world�s largest lithium deposits (8 billion pounds!). That will create value.
With over C$50 million in cash, Western Uranium should be able to aggressively increase its historical resource across its properties, currently at 31 million pounds of uranium. Clearly Cameco believes that that is where WUC is going and indeed Cameco will pay per pound discovered......

Gold and Dollar Market Summary

In reference to the following charts, I have included a few comments about this Friday’s Commitments of Traders report for gold, as is my custom........
.....Thursday of this week we witnessed gold getting hammered down some $13 or so on very strong volume of 120,026 contracts. The open interest dipped only slightly however which means that while there were plenty of longs getting taken out as the downside stops were run, there were also plenty of new positions being put on, both longs and shorts. After today’s strong reversal back to the upside, you can rest assured that yesterday’s opportunistic sellers were today’s panicked buyers. That strong short covering ran the market up nearly $15 at one point, totally erasing yesterday’s big losses. However, once again as we have been accustomed to seeing, strong selling once again “miraculously” appeared above that $686 level in December gold sending a “Do Not Pass Go” 
signal to short term specs who then unloaded their new longs. The result was that the blocking sellers managed to take gold down nearly $6.00 off of its best level for the day.......

Investors Pummel Denison Mines Despite Glowing Q2 Profit

TORONTO (CP) -- The CEO of Denison Mines Corp. [AMEX:DNN; TSX:DML] lamented stock market conditions on Friday as investors pummelled the uranium producer despite second-quarter results that showed a swing firmly into the black due to significant asset sales and higher revenue.
The Toronto-based company, which reports in U.S. dollars, earned almost $41 million in profit for the three months ended June 30, versus a net loss of $3 million last year.........

Bringing it back to Strathmore -
Regardless of how mispriced current holders of STM believe it is (my self included) , a need to raise capital by investors can (and did) distort a fair pricing of the stock. It's impossible to predict a bottom on STM when segments of the investment community could find themselves in a position where they have to sell at any price.
The only way I am letting go of my shares at these levels is if I die and someone pries them out of my cold, dead fingers.

China threatens 'nuclear option' of dollar sales

The Chinese government has begun a concerted campaign of economic threats against the United States, hinting that it may liquidate its vast holding of US treasuries if Washington imposes trade sanctions to force a yuan revaluation.
Two officials at leading Communist Party bodies have given interviews in recent days warning - for the first time - that Beijing may use its $1.33 trillion (£658bn) of foreign reserves as a political weapon to counter pressure from the US Congress. Shifts in Chinese policy are often announced through key think tanks and academies.

...mir wird langsam etwas schummrig habe noch die TechBlase in "bester" Erinnerung kann mir auch nicht vorstellen, dass die Hedgefunds alle so smart waren und so früh drin waren um jetzt mit dicken Gewinnen abzuziehen - wenigstens jetzt doch nicht mehr

In a market where credit/liquidity is beginning to become a concern, you're wondering why this is down so much?!?!?
~$3.5B market cap CAD.... and they've sold how much yellowcake?
Oh, and if you can understand just exactly what the heck is going on with AREVA & the various 'Summit Party Ltds' you're a helluva smarter than I am...
With all the bargains available throughout the uranium space these days you're throwing money away here hoping that this collapse turns around.
