MINSK, 19 June (BelTA) – Additional conditions which do not apply to the financial part are unacceptable for Belarus, Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko said when speaking about external lending during a meeting to discuss support measures for the real economic sector on the part of the banking system, BelTA has learned.

Aleksandr Lukashenko asked the participants of the meeting how things were with the provision of foreign credit assistance to Belarus. “What are our partners' requirements?
It was announced that they can provide Belarus with $940 million in so-called rapid financing.
How are things here?” the head of state inquired.
At the same time, he stressed that additional conditions which do not apply to the financial part are unacceptable for the country.

“We hear the demands, for example, to model our coronavirus response on that of Italy.

I do not want to see the Italian situation to repeat in Belarus. We have our own country and our own situation,” the president said.
According to the president, the World Bank has showed interest in Belarus' coronavirus response practices.

“It is ready to fund us ten times more than it offered initially as a token of commendation for our efficient fight against this virus. The World Bank has even asked the Healthcare Ministry to share the experience.
Meanwhile, the IMF continues to demand from us quarantine measures, isolation, a curfew.
This is nonsense. We will not dance to anyone's tune,” said the president.

Juni (BelTA) - Zusätzliche Bedingungen, die für den finanziellen Teil nicht gelten, sind für Belarus nicht akzeptabel, sagte der belarussische Präsident Aleksandr Lukaschenko, als er während eines Treffens über externe Kredite sprach, um Unterstützungsmaßnahmen für den Realwirtschaftssektor seitens des Bankensystems, erfuhr BelTA.

Gleichzeitig betonte er, dass zusätzliche Bedingungen, die nicht für den finanziellen Teil gelten, für das Land nicht akzeptabel seien.

„Wir hören zum Beispiel die Forderung, unsere Coronavirus-Reaktion an die Italiens anzupassen. Ich möchte nicht, dass sich die italienische Situation in Belarus wiederholt. Wir haben unser eigenes Land und unsere eigene Situation “, sagte der Präsident.

Nach Angaben des Präsidenten hat die Weltbank Interesse an den Coronavirus-Reaktionspraktiken in Belarus gezeigt. „Es ist bereit, uns zehnmal mehr zu finanzieren, als es ursprünglich als Zeichen der Anerkennung für unseren effizienten Kampf gegen dieses Virus angeboten wurde.
Die Weltbank hat sogar das Gesundheitsministerium gebeten, die Erfahrungen zu teilen.

Unterdessen fordert der IWF von uns weiterhin Quarantänemaßnahmen, Isolation und Ausgangssperre.
Das ist Schwachsinn. Wir werden nach niemandes Pfeife tanzen “, sagte der Präsident.

Lion One arranges $20-million financing

Lion One Metals Ltd. has entered into an agreement with Haywood Securities Inc. and Echelon Wealth Partners Inc. as co-lead underwriters on behalf of a syndicate of underwriters, pursuant to which the underwriters have agreed to purchase, on a bought deal private placement basis, 11,765,000 units of the company at a price of $1.70 per unit, for total gross proceeds of $20,000,500.
Each Unit will consist of one common share (a "Common Share") in the capital of the Company and one-half (1/2) of one common share purchase warrant (each whole common share purchase warrant, a "Warrant") of the Company.
Each Warrant shall be exercisable to acquire one Common Share (a "Warrant Share") at a price per Warrant Share of C$2.35 for a period of 12 months from the closing date of the Offering.

The Company has granted the Underwriters an option to purchase up to an additional 15% of the Offering in Units (the "Underwriters' Option"), exercisable in whole or in part at any time up to 48 hours prior to the closing date.

The net proceeds from the sale of the Units will be used for exploration and development of the Company's Tuvatu Gold Project, as well as working capital and general corporate purposes.

The Offering is expected to close on or about August 11, 2020 and is subject to certain conditions including, but not limited to, the receipt of all necessary approvals including the approval of the TSX Venture Exchange and the applicable securities regulatory authorities. The Units to be issued under the Offering will be subject to a hold period in Canada expiring four months and one day from the closing date of the Offering.

In connection with the Offering, the Underwriters will receive a cash commission of 6.0% of the gross proceeds of the Offering and that number of non-transferable compensation options (the "Compensation Options") as is equal to 6.0% of the aggregate number of Units sold under the Offering. Each Compensation Option is exercisable into one Common Share of the Company at the Issue Price for a period of 24 months from the closing date of the Offering.
