Gold versus Silver
As discussed many times in TSI commentaries over the years, silver tends to do well relative to gold when confidence in the financial system is rising and poorly relative to gold when confidence is falling.
This makes sense because silver is more of an industrial metal than a monetary metal whereas gold's supply/demand equation is dominated by changes in investment/monetary demand.
The above-mentioned relationship between the silver/gold ratio and confidence in the financial system has been as strong as ever during the past two years and is illustrated by the chart presented below. The chart compares the silver/gold ratio with the stock price of Bear Sterns. We chose Bear Sterns for this comparison because it is a large Wall Street financial house that fared well during the boom years and more recently became the 'poster child' for the "subprime debt crisis".
Clearly, as confidence has ebbed and flowed over the past two years, as indicated by the performance of Bear Sterns, so has the silver/gold ratio. Therefore, those who were wondering why silver has been weak relative to gold over the past 6 months should wonder no more.
The message of the above chart is that if the "subprime crisis" worsens over the coming 1-2 months then silver will weaken further relative to gold, but once the crisis ends we should see silver strengthen relative to gold.

The crisis won't end, therefore Silver stays down.
Mexico as a supplier is not a safe place anymore,its changing.

My forecast is for Mexico to disintegrate into a failed state within two years, owing to its lost FOREX trade surplus and utter breakdown of law and order. Mexico City soon will be forced to turn to desperate measures.
Violence has spread widely across Mexico, including murders of police officials in the northern regions. Even judges and foreign press reporters have been threatened. A splinter group from the Peoples Revolutionary Army claimed responsibility for the July 10th oil pipeline explosions in Guanajuato and Queretaro states. Other pipelines have been threatened. Armed battles in small city streets have erupted, without report in the debilitated compromised US media networks. Rival drug lords are engaged in three-way battles with the Mex Govt.
A failed nation state is the likely outcome south of the US border. Such a failure has numerous criteria. Objektivität, was ist das schon heute in unserer Gesellschaft.
Mir solls recht sein wenn beide Metalle steigen, schliesslich habe ich bei meinen PM Aktien einen Mix von 60/40 Silber/Gold sowie SLV und CEF.
Tatsache ist das ich kein physisches Silber brauche und horte lieber Goldmuenzen und Barren.
Ich reise doch nicht mit 7 kilo Silber im Handgepaeck fuer 1900 Euro wenn ich mit Gold 142.000 Euro bekomme.
Wie auch immer 56 mal mehr Cash bei jedem Gewicht.
Da lohnt sich nicht mal das Flugticket falls ich so eine Aktion machen muss....auch ein Grund fuer mich kein Silber zu horten.
Ich mache hier gar nichts schlecht, wie kommst du darauf, meine persoenliche Meinung kann ich wohl noch auessern was physisch Silber angeht.
Was kriege ich schon von Euch wenn ich Recht behalte zum Schluss ?ZIPPO !... aber wehe ich habe nicht Recht.

Muss ja richtig massiv sein bei 11.78 POS.
Deutschland, ein Tropfen auf dem Stein, 1% der Erdoberflaeche reissen es gerade raus.
In India oder China verbrauchen die alleine mit ihren neuen Mobile Phones wesentlich mehr Silber als Deutschland das den Markt noch mit einen Goldverkauf der Bundesbank beinflussen kann wie die SNB.
Ich wuerde dir den Schmarn auch erzaehlen als Silberhaendler. -
Habe ich oben schon erwaehnt, Silber ist mehr ein Industriemetall als Edelmetall...... ausser fuer Schablonski.
Ob sich das aendern wird steht in den Sternen.
Als naechstes kaufen einige Zink, in Tablettenform soll es ganz gesund sein.

Ich streite mich bestimmt nicht mit GB, mir ist die Zahl einfach zu teuflisch das ich sie in den Mund nehme oder staendig anschauen muss.
Reicht schon , heute gab ich meinen A6 mit 66640 km zum Service, bin gespannt wie hoch die Rechnung kommt nachdem ein nach dem andern kaputt ging.Dann noch der POG der heute wieder mal mit der Marke spielt reicht nun sauer zu sein.
Leverage ist gut wenn der Markt steigt, umgekehrt natuerlich nicht.
Mein Risiko, jedenfalls habe ich mein Geld verzehnfacht in 12 Jahren bis heute mit dieser Strategie die eben gefaehrlicher ist als bei Investoren ohne einen margin. Seid froh das ich nicht alles verkauft habe sonst wuerden viele von Euren Minenaktien noch weiter unten sein.
Bei vielen Juniors halte ich mehr als das taegliche Volumen.XEX

Falsch verstanden, bin mit 18% in physischen Gold (Safe) und 7% in Silber ueber SLV und CEF.
Viel zu wenig Gold, aber man wird angelockt in dem Analysten sagen das der HUI gegenueber den POG und POS um 4.6 mal steigt seit 2001.
Was will ich schon mit physischen Silber zu Hause ?
Eine Teekanne oder Teeloeffel draus machen oder es den ganze Tag streicheln und reiben bis es mal 24 USD wert ist.
Schablonski kauft sich einen Frachter der teurer als sein Silber ist selbst wenn er ihn nur charterd.
Fuer mein Silberkolloid Wasser reichen zwei Draehte fuer 10 Euro sonst habe ich keinen Zweck dafuer.
Wer soll sich nun mit Silber eindecken und den POS damit drastisch steigen frage ich mich.
Wer in Eurer Nachbarschaft hat Silbermuenzen oder Barren ?... eine Goldmuenze schon eher.
Also was soll der Hokuspokus mit dem Silberpreis Anstieg frage ich mich.
Erst rennen die Leute bei einer Krise in Gold und dann vielleicht in Silber.
Die Nachfrage bei der Industrie muss erstmal enorm ansteigen dann reden wir weiter.Einfuehrung von Silbermuenzen als Zahlungsmittel in einigen Waehrungen muss her
Nickelmuenzen geben die aber nicht ab das ist das Problem..... die gute alte 5 Mark :P.....gone !
...Mit einem Krugerrand oder Goldbarren gehe ich zur naechsten Bank und wechsel es ein, mach das mal mit Silber.
