    'Rape destroyed my life

    Polokwane - A man who was apparently repeatedly raped in police cells, had to give up his work due to the emotional trauma and now delivers pizzas to make money.
    Nico Bouwer, 25, said his life had been destroyed after the alleged rape earlier this year.
    The police investigation into the attack has not been completed, almost six months after it was reported. :boese:
    His ordeal was recently spread around the web through a chain letter, and is being widely talked about.
    "I don't know who put my story on the internet but I'm happy about it, now more people can learn the truth".


    Bouwer decided to talk openly about what had happened to him to help others who might have gone through the same nightmare.
    Bouwer is involved in a civil claim against police as he says police did not allow him to make a call after he was arrested on January 6 on a charge of reckless driving.
    He was driving home from a friend's place when his car's left tyre burst and he hit a lamppost and a traffic light outside the city.
    "I was definitely not drunk. I still gave the tow truck company all my details".
    An ambulance took Bouwer to hospital with a broken rib, cuts to his face and head as well as a chest injury.
    "Next thing I knew, police fetched me. :boese: .. I was still full of cuts and blood." Bouwer was taken to the city's police cells.
    "I repeatedly asked if I could make my one phone call but they refused".
    He said there were about 25 detainees in the cells. According to Bouwer, a group of about eight attacked him and gang-raped him.
    Some of the detainees held his arms, sat on him and pushed his head into a pillow while they raped him. "I couldn't do anything, because I was curled up in pain due to my injuries".

    His cries for help went unheeded. Bouwer could only call his lawyer the next morning and was released on bail.
    He had to take antiretroviral drugs and recently heard he was HIV negative.
    "I still get nightmares and sometimes I just get annoyed. My life is a mess." He is receiving psychological treatment and because of the trauma, lost his job at a courier company.
    He was also ill for quite a while due to the antiretroviral medication. Bouwer managed to get married in March to Rose-Mary. "Now I deliver pizzas just to get food on the table for my wife and son".
    According to Bouwer, his medical bills are costing thousands of rands. He said he had been contacted by people from Dubai who had seen the mail.
    Police spokesperson inspector Lesiba Ramoshaba said the investigation into Bouwer's allegations was continuing. :tired:
    The case of reckless driving against Bouwer was still ongoing.
    He said the charges of rape and sodomy that Bouwer had made, were also being investigated. :tired:

    In einen Jahr sterben auf mysteriouse weise ca. 2000 Gefangene in den Gefaengnissen in Suedafrika.
    Eure Gefaengnisse sind 5* Hotels im Vergleich, hier gehts erstmal in die Sammelzelle wo man alle einsperrt.
    Dort kann man schreien wie man will, es interessiert die Wachmannschaft nicht, wenn ueberhaut schauen die mal durch die Klappe :D .. ohne etwas zu machen.
    Ich kenne einen Fall wo die noch die Gangster anheizten und Porno Magazine reingeworfen haben damit de Show wild wird.
    Alle Beschwerden oder Anzeigen gegen die Polizei enden dann im Muelleimer, es geht weiter so, man kann alles machen hier im Gangster Paradise.
    Am besten man kommt erst gar nicht in Kontakt mit der schwarzen Polizei oder mit dem Gesetz mit weisser Hautfarbe denn man hat sehr wenig Chancen eine gerechte Behandlung zu bekommen.
    Die Neger haben nun die Uniform an und das geniessen die und nutzen das voll aus, bestaetigte mir mein Anwalt der mich rausboxte bei der Mordanklage die Notwehr war.
    Haette ich kein Geld und Gleuck im Unglueck gehabt wuerde ich heute nicht mehr schreiben im Forum.

    Woman bites off rapist's tongue

    Barberton - A woman bit off a rapist's tongue when he tried to kiss her.
    The man stabbed her in the shoulder to force her to let him go and then fled.
    The woman placed the tongue in a plastic bag and took it to the Barberton police station in Mpumalanga.
    "She came in at about 03:00 carrying a white packet half a tongue in it," said station spokesperson, Constable Jabu Ndubane.
    The 34-year-old woman said she was attacked after leaving a night vigil near her house in Extension 9 of Barberton.
    A man followed her she said and the suddenly grabbed her and forced her to undress.
    "She said she didn't resist and did everything he forced her to do because he was holding a knife," said Ndubane.
    The man raped her and then complained when she didn't respond. :D
    "He accused her of lying there like a dead person, :D ... so she explained that she didn't have any feelings for him because he never romanced her. :D
    That's when he put his tongue in her mouth and she bit it," :thumbup: said Ndubane.
    The rapist stabbed her in her right hand shoulder to force her to let him go and then ran away.
    The tongue will be sent to Pretoria for forensic tests.
    In the mean time, anyone who knows of a man in the Barberton area who is nursing an injured tongue is asked to call the Barberton police on (013) 712 1448.

    In einen Radio Interview sagte er wenn es nicht stimmt was er vorhersagt dann kann man ihm sagen alles Bullshit.

    The outburst of xenophobic violence in the country could cause serious damage to South Africa's tourism industry, Environmental and Tourism Minister Marthinus van Schalkwyk said on Tuesday.
    Briefing the media in Cape Town, Van Schalkwyk said tourists from African countries were likely to avoid visiting South Africa.
    This came as the German Foreign Ministry issued a warning to travellers to South Africa on Tuesday to avoid central Johannesburg and the outlying black townships.
    Over the past few days there had been serious outbreaks of violence directed against black immigrants and ethnic minorities in townships on the outskirts of cities like Johannesburg and Pretoria and also in central Johannesburg, the ministry said.
    It advised against all trips to these areas, whether organized by tour groups or undertaken alone.
    Around 30 people have died in the violence, which has been largely directed at Zimbabweans fleeing the chaos in their own country, which borders South Africa to the north.
    "We are quite concerned about the effects of the attacks on tourism - they have the potential to impact negatively on the (African) market," said Van Schalkwyk.
    The violence, which drew condemnation from all political parties, churches, community organisation and the general public, started in Alexandra, north of Johannesburg last week.
    It has since spread to informal settlements on the perimeter of Johannesburg at the weekend, including Zamimpilo in Riverlea, Diepsloot and Kya Sands to the west of Johannesburg, and Ramaphosa and Makause in the east, as well as to Tembisa and Tokoza.
    Tens of thousands of people are seeking refuge in shelters.
    Van Schalkwyk said while his department was concerned about the impact the violence would cause to tourism, the immediate concern was around its impact on victims and their families.
    Addressing the National Assembly later on Tuesday during the Environmental and Tourism department's budget vote debate, Van Schalkwyk, however, said the country's tourism industry would continue to grow.
    "The growth in our tourism industry is well documented... in 1994, fewer than 60 000 tourists visited South Africa... by 2007, that shot up to over nine million, which represented an increase of 8.3% over the previous year.
    "We look forward to an even better 2008," he said. :D
    The department would strive to ensure that small enterprises benefited from major tourism projects such as the 2010 FIFA World Cup. :hae:
    "The department is working with MATCH, the official accommodation partner for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, and the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa (TGCSA) to assist SMME accommodation establishments and more specifically establishments from previously disadvantaged communities to be graded and registered as official accommodation suppliers for 2010," he said. - Sapa-dpa
