There have been a number of solid hits via the biz end of the drill bit in recent weeks. These results out of the Hugo North Extension of the world-class Oyu Tolgoi copper-gold project in Mongolia—a JV between mining behemoth Rio Tinto and Entrée Resources (ETG.TO)— certainly qualify as standouts - Entrée Announces Additional Drill Results from the 2023 Program at Hugo North Extension.

Oyu Tolgoi began producing in March of last year and is projected to rank among the largest Cu mines globally by 2030 once all components are in full production.

This JV is an interesting one as Entrée's share of the metal varies depending on elevation: Entrée has a 20% participating interest in all mineralization extracted below 560 meters of elevation and a 30% participating interest in all mineralization tagged above 560 meters. High-grade hits at Oyu Tolgoi are pretty much par for the course. Highlights from this round of assays include:

HNE Surface Drill Holes

• EGD 174: 448 metres grading 1.62% CuEq, including 172 meters grading 1.99% CuEq;
• EGD 1772: 143 meters grading 1.17% CuEq, including 51 meters grading 1.92% CuEq.

HNE Underground Drill Holes

• UGD 805B: 177.3 meters grading 2.04% CuEq;
• UGD 808: 613.6 meters grading 0.77% CuEq, including, 214 meters grading 1.24% CuEq;
• UGD 813: 56 meters grading 1.75% CuEq;
• UGD 814: 138 meters grading 2.37% CuEq.

• Pan American Silver Corp. has received approval from the Government of Canada under the Investment Canada Act for the sale of its 100% interest in La Arena S.A. to Zijin Mining Group Co., Ltd.
• The sale includes a provision for Pan American to secure 60% of the future copper concentrate supply from the La Arena II project for sale in North American markets.
• The transaction is expected to close by the end of the fourth quarter of 2024.
• Zijin will pay US$245 million in cash and grant Pan American a life-of-mine gold net smelter return royalty of 1.5% for the La Arena II project.
• Upon commencement of commercial production from the La Arena II project, there will be an additional contingent payment of US$50 million in cash from Zijin.

Das bedeutet, dass die Betrüger bis zur letzten Minute gewartet haben, um nicht aufzufallen. Sie hätten die gefälschten Anträge benutzt, um Briefwahlbetrug zu begehen, ohne erwischt zu werden.
