The minor role of foreign investors is not for a lack of interest. Half of the funds that went into emerging markets were directed to China. Likely far more would have been invested, but Chinese regulators restrict foreign participation in a futile effort to maintain an orderly market.

....There is a degree of desperation that sends (chinese) people into the markets in search of profits. The sudden surge of prosperity has enabled millions of Chinese to accumulate $2 trillion in savings. The system, however, gives the savers few places to invest their capital. Ten-year bonds pay a meagre 3%, while the cost of living is rising at 2.2%. The result is a near zero return on capital and little chance of achieving the riches that the new freedom offers.

Only the stock market makes possible a better return on capital for the average person, and it is this average person without any previous experience and with scant knowledge of the markets who is plunging it into chaos; and often with borrowed funds. They form a horde of inexperienced immature gamblers that react to every shift in the wind.

In respect to the outside world, the only serious impact is to those who had the golden dream and tried to turn that dream into profits through Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) and emerging market funds with their emphasis upon China. The losses may send them elsewhere in search of more moderate gains, but it is likely that the domestic gamblers in the Shanghai Casino will stay at the table to try again. The imposed limitation upon investment possibilities gives them few other choices.

STM hatte ich Dienstag verkauft .. heute wieder ins Depot genommen.

EMC hab ich kein Stück abgegeben, hier mein minimal Ziel 17 CAN$ (und das kommt schneller als manche hier vielleicht glauben).

Ebenfalls nichts verkauft bei XE, im Gegenteil heute Nachmittag zu 1.30 nachgekauft. XE ist ein Gewinner, ihr werdet sehen

CBP aufgestockt und RSC erwäge ich evtl morgen einen Kauf (aber bei den Werten hier nur sehr kleine Positionen, da Mini Klitschen Explorer!) .. mal sehen was zur Eröffnung in Canada für ein Preis gestellt wird ... Otish könnte das 2. Athabasca Basin werden .. ein play darauf .. that´s all.

Ich bin und bleibe extrem bullisch für Uran, das wird ein strahlendes Weihnachtsfest dieses Jahr!

Ich habe die Company schon ein paar mal angesprochen, aber bisher wenig Interesse.

Equinox is constructing what will be one of Africa’s largest copper projects at Lumwana. Lumwana, owned 100% by Equinox, is located in the North Western Province of the Zambia. The Lumwana mine will produce an average of 169,000t of copper metal per year contained in concentrates for the first 6 years of its 37year mine life and construction is on schedule for commissioning in Q2 2008.

Lumwana – still in the early stages of development – is making good progress and on track to start production in July 2008.

The mine with “proven and probable” reserves of 321 million tonnes of ore, grading at 0.73%, is situated to the west of the world-renowned copper belt in Zambia and fully owned by Equinox.

the fact that there was significant uranium and copper exploration potential in Equinox’s “extensive land package” and said the company’s exploration team had both strength and depth.

Research pointed out that Equinox is trading at a Price/Net Asset Value (NAV) of 0.45x compared to its peer group of copper developers trading at 0.82x.

Tom Meyer, base metals and mining analyst, said the share was a “strong buy” as the share price was expected to climb from its current C$2.10 to C$3.80 within six to twelve months.

“The potential for value creation on the uranium and copper exploration front is high and has yet to be reflected in the share price.”

The Lumwana concentrate sale and purchase agreement involves a take or pay contract with Chambishi Copper Smelter for 100,000 t of copper contained in concentrates annually for the first five years of production at Lumwana.

According to Equinox’s website, Lumwana is one of the largest fully permitted copper projects in the world currently under construction.

Das einzige was ich heute noch gekauft habe ist CONS PACIFIC BAY MINERALS LTD. (CBP.V) ... Hier sthen Drilling Results für das Otish Uranium Project kurz bevor, die ähnlich gut sein sollten wie die von Strateco RSC.V
Kursziel für mich 2.00 CAN$

Ansonsten werde ich STM.V kaufen wenn unter 3.50 und GEM.V wenn unter 0.90 ... flippen ja alle aus hier, was glauben die Leute eigentlich ??

Allerdings basiert der Report nur auf der Central Zone des Colnic Deposits!
D.h. die 1.65 CAN$ Target können ruhig nach oben revidiert werden

So meine Herren, Uran Minen haben ja die Tage gut Federn lassen müssen. da kommt so ein kleines positives Gerücht gerade recht. Ohne Gewähr, denn nix ist bestätigt .. just a rumour !

Utilities Start Buying Again: $100/Pound Next?

Transaction volume in both the spot and long-term uranium market in February confirmed the US$10/pound price jump to $85/pound, according to TradeTech’s monthly Nuclear Market Review (NMR) report. Six transactions in the spot market for slightly less than 950,000 pounds U3O8 helped legitimatize the sealed-bid auction conducted by privately held Mestena Uranium LLC, where a modest amount of 100,000 was fiercely bid, according to NMR editor Treva Klingbiel.

“New demand emerged in the long-term market in February,” Klingbiel wrote. More than five million pounds U3O8 were purchased by a non-U.S. utility, to be delivered over a five-year period. Another non-U.S. utility asked to receive offers to buy two million pounds for delivery starting in 2008. One U.S. utility is evaluating offers to buy 3.5 million pounds U3O8 for delivery between 2012 and 2016. Another 13 utilities are evaluating offers to buy about 37 million pounds, starting as early as 2007.

Klingbiel wrote, “Long-term demand remains strong and several utilities are expected to enter the market in coming weeks to secure long-term uranium supply.” As a result long-term suppliers have raised their offer prices. Monthly transaction volume for year-to-date in 2007 continues to lag recent years (2002 through 2006) and remains at the low levels of 2000 and 2001.

TradeTech’s calculated worth of enriched UF6 (unrestricted) reached a record US$3,219 kg in February, up from US$1,807 one year ago. In August 2006, enriched UF6 sold for US$2,226.

Rumors have begun from very reliable sources that the next spot uranium sale, offered by Mestena Uranium LLC, should result in a triple-digit result: US$100/pound. Attempts to reach Mestena president George Tanner by telephone were not returned.

Die ADI.V hab ich Dienstag bei 40% noch rausgehauen .. ist imho noch zu früh für den Wert, die wird noch Monate rumdümpeln. Dafür hab ich ADA.V aufgestockt gestern um 1.16

RMX 100% in 5 Tagen .. nicht schlecht aber hast ja gesehen was gestern UUL und SSE gestern gemacht haben jeweils 100+ % Intraday.
Das nur als Hinweis an die User hier die meinen man sollte Minen rege traden (rein-raus-karnickelstyle) ... solche moves kann man nicht voraussehen, deshalb sollte man Minen halten solange man keinen guten Grund hat zu liquidieren !

Schaut euch XE.V an .. dass wird der 4. Volltreffer in Namibia .. Rossing, Langer Heinrich und Valencia lassen grüssen !!!
