One of these 2003 Pandas is a Fake....Can you tell which one??
If It is one thing I cannot stand, it is Fake silver pandas. They seem to be cropping up everywhere on e-bay. Every time I see
one,
I report the seller to e-bay. E-bay seems more interested in the
almighty dollar, rather that helping to eliminate these frauds.They
think they are helping by preventing sellers from using the words
"Fake",or "Counterfeit" so I was unable to use FAKE in my description
title
Everyone who buys Chinese Silver pandas should be very cautious,because
the fake Pandas are getting better and better all of the time.
The
photos I have included, show some of the things that you should be
looking for. For example. Whenever you see a Double sealed vinyl
package
that is rigid, and has ROUNDED corners.....The panda is a FAKE( Please
see photos) What some crooks are doing now is to remove these
fake
pandas from their "dead-give-away" packaging and sell them just in
capsules alone. Fake 2004 Pandas have been showing up alot on e-bay
most
notably from a seller who lists them as "kissing panda" These are fake
pandas and do not contain any silver content in them.
Also, there have been several 2000 "Mirrored Pandas" that have been sold recently, to unsuspecting buyers. These are also fakes
you
can tell immediately by the packaging. When you see a seller selling
3,4,5 or even more of these "mirrored pandas" and selling them for way
under their actual values........ Chances are they all are Fakes.
2000 Mirrored pandas are RARE, most sellers are lucky to get their hands on 1 of these let alone sell 5 or more at a time.
The
pictures I have included show a Fake 2003 Panda, and a real 2003
Panda...they are virtually identical. There are tiny subtle differences
between
them. Weight is one of them. A Real chinese Silver panda weighs exactly
31.1 grams.The fake ones are either much lighter or they are a gram or 2
heavier.As for the pictures of th 2007 pandas. Both of them are fakes,
and you can tell immediately by the packaging.They are also silver
plated,which has a much different finish than REAL SILVER does.
The
last photos, of the 1993 Pandas, show one real , and one fake. Although
the pandas look very close to each other You can see the differences
between the numerials 1 and 0 (10 yuan) the Fake one's, are much
bolder, than the real ones
The fake one becomes more obvious, when you compare the reverse, the Dates are much different. The 1993 on the right is a Fake.
