Wenige Stunden vor Öffnung der Tore...
.... ich stell das mal als Zitat rein
Dear China Pricepedia subscriber,
Here’s some time-sensitive information that won’t wait for the February China Pricepedia. A source (who is in a position to know these things) revealed to me that unlike the 2012 medals from the Singapore Fair and the Philadelphia ANA Convention, the Panda medals to be released at the World Money Fair in Berlin (February 1-3) are nearly sold-out prior to the show opening. Bulk buyers, most likely European dealers, have already purchased most of the medals. That means that there may be as few as 500 silver medals available to the public at the Fair, and 10, or fewer, 5 oz. gold medals. My source doubted that PandaAmerica will have significant inventory left over to sell after the Fair ends.
I’ve read online comments from collectors who plan to hold off buying the two medals until prices are lower in the secondary market. Based on the information I was given that strategy may backfire. After the public allocation is sold out, prices on the secondary market may well be higher, not lower, than the official price.
While I was unable to confirm this information, I believe it is reliable and worth knowing about. In any case, for all who attend the World Money Fair, have a great time!
Best wishes,
Peter Anthony
