ANC MP denies plane incident

Johannesburg -
An African National Congress MP on Monday denied being booted off an SAA flight after an alleged drunken argument with another passenger.
Frans Tlokwe Maserumule said he left the plane willingly after the incident which took place before the flight from Johannesburg to Cape town took off.
"I was not drunk... I walked out willingly, with no escort, no policemen, nothing. And I went straight to the police station to report the incident. I voluntarily left the plane," he told Sapa.
Maserumule, a member of Parliament's Portfolio Committee on Safety and Security, said he had been drinking before the flight but was not drunk.
He expressed surprise at the media attention the incident was receiving.
He was responding to a 702 Eyewitness News report that he was booted off the flight after he argued with another passenger.
The reports said the MP denied being drunk when he bumped into another passenger, sparking the argument.
SAA was not able to immediately comment on the incident.

Tourists burn to death in KZN

Durban - The badly burned bodies of two tourists were found on Wednesday in KwaZulu-Natal's northern Drakensberg Mountains, police said.
Jack Haskins of the police search and rescue team said the husband and wife, believed to be from Canada, arrived in Bergville on Thursday.
"The couple had paid for their fees from Thursday to Saturday. On the day of their arrival, they were waiting for their cabin to be sorted out. They went for a stroll on the mountain - that falls under the Royal National Park - but did not return," said Haskins.
When they could not be found, KZN Wildlife sent out a search party to look for their couple. After an intensive search deep within the mountains, the husband and wife were found.
They had been burnt to death, an investigation of murder is in progress.
Local Bergville police then broke open their doors to the couple's vehicle to find contact numbers for their families.
"We found their bags of clothes still in the vehicle. They had not even unpacked," one of the officers said.
The couple's family is being notified, police said.
Ladysmith Captain Charmaine Struwig confirmed that she was aware of the search for two missing tourists but said she did not have any feedback from the rescue team as yet.
