Summary
Investors with a long term horizon should not be concerned with short term volatility in the gold pits, and gold is a very volatile commodity. The sharp corrections within a bull market occur suddenly and viciously, and could be quite traumatic
to the inexperienced investors, and often they unload their positions in sheer panic. Yes, investors can lose money in a bull market. But for the seasoned investors $$$$ :D, these over the cliff plunges present excellent buying opportunities. These sharp sell offs in a bull market is what I consider "right translations", a technical term of a bull market signature which has very bullish consequences. Perhaps I will cover that subject in my next article.

Sleeper Gold Project
Humboldt County, NevadaX-Cal Resources is initiating a review of the large volume of exploration data generated by the Sleeper Joint Venture and has requested master copies of all current Sleeper Data to facilitate the process.
The review will incorporate outside consultants to assist X-Cal with development of an updated overview of the Sleeper Gold Project. Geologic data, expenditures by the Joint Venture, overall project potential and recommendations for continued exploration will be covered. The process will be funded independently by X-Cal, as a management tool.
X-Cal participates in Sleeper Technical Sessions on a regular basis. Ken Snyder, PhD., Larry Kornze, P. Eng., and X-Cal President, Shawn Kennedy attend Sleeper Joint Venture technical sessions on behalf of X-Cal.
X-Cal’s current view of the Sleeper Gold Project is that Sleeper is one of only a handful of Nevada gold exploration properties, with a district scale land holding centered on a historic producer, with an advanced digital data package.
The review will focus on exploration potential for three styles of gold mineralization at Sleeper, with a lower priority on a fourth style:
Structurally controlled, high grade gold mineralization in the Sleeper Volcanics.
Lower grade, potentially heap leachable gold, in the volcanics.
Potential for Hishikari style gold mineralization at the volcanic/sediment contact. The review will request input from internationally recognized consultants on this topic. Future exploration success aimed at this type of hypothetical target is expected to be dependant on identification of structural intersections and favorable horizons.
Florida Canyon type gold mineralization in the sediments currently has a lower priority rating.
New Sleeper Gold Corporation is the operator of the Sleeper Joint Venture. The Joint Venture is funded 50% / 50% by the partners X-Cal Resources and New Sleeper Gold Corporation. Resource figures and an updated NI-43-101 are being prepared under the direction and timing of the operator. The additional data from the operator is anticipated before the end of 2005.Mill Creek Gold Project
Lander County, NevadaThe Plan of Operations application announced July 2005 has been filed and the review process is well underway. The outcome and amount of bonding, if the permit process is successful, is not known at this time. The intent of the Plan of Operations application for Mill Creek is to facilitate comprehensive exploration of this property (see press release dated July 11, 2005).
Mill Creek is currently under option to Placer Dome US. Two holes have been drilled, one in the South West corner of the property to a depth of approximately 2,500 ft, where it was terminated due to ground conditions. The second hole, drilled to a depth of 1,600, North/East of the deeper test, was also terminated due to ground conditions. The structural preparation evident in both holes is encouraging. Both holes were drilled from an existing access road, as the current permits limit disturbance. X-Cal has yet to receive drill logs or geochemistry from the initial testing by Placer Dome (see press releases dated June 29 and August 12, 2005 and property maps @http://www.x-cal.com).

Reese River Pediment Project

X-Cal/Placer DomeX-Cal and Placer Dome are expanding the binding Reese River Pediment Project letter agreement announced September 15, 2005 into a more detailed document. The detailed agreement is expected to be complete this month (see press release dated September 15, 2005 and property map at http://www.x-cal.com). The Reese River exploration program will be designed by personnel from both companies. Drill permit applications will be filed at the earliest opportunity. A variety of surface surveys, designed to augment existing targeting data, are scheduled and awaiting field crew.
Summary
Mergers in the gold industry do not make new reserves.
To date, consolidations have resulted in talented exploration people becoming available as consultants. X-Cal has attracted some top technical people with Nevada track records to assist with our work and will continue to foster relationships with able explorationists.
X-Cal intends to continue to look at corporate growth opportunities with the assistance of Capital Markets Advisory.
X-Cal still believes strongly in the potential of Sleeper.
Our early stage Mill Creek and Reese River Pediment gold properties are also well located.
We feel that the giant gold companies will inevitably have to move to exploration to sustain production.

GOLD MINING SHARES BULL MARKET PATTERN

The HUI has displayed a very distinct pattern so far in its bull market to date. Take a look at the graph of the HUI from January 2000, shown below.
There have been three major uplegs shown in green. After each upleg the HUI trades sideways in a consolidation pattern which can be broadly characterized by a box. The top of the box is set by the highest point reached in the preceding upleg. What has happened in the first two consolidations is that the HUI only breaks-out from the box after challenging the top of the box resistance (defined as coming within 3% of the top of the box) three times. The initial peak is numbered 1, and the consecutive challenges are 2, 3 and 4. Break-out is the 4th attempt which is successful.
You will notice that these consolidations have become longer. The first in 2001 lasted 258 days, the second in 2002 lasted 420 days, the current consolidation has lasted 720 days. This sideways grinding demoralizes the equity investors and the longer it lasts the more demoralized they feel. From a contrarian point of view this is likely why each upleg is also progressively bigger. Now what is interesting is that in the current consolidation we have challenged the top resistance line on three occasions and the last attempt labeled #4 has broken out to 259.96 as of Friday Dec 16, 2005. This is above the Dec 1, 2003 high of 255.59 which defines the top resistance.
If this pattern is to continue then the HUI is likely to display a very strong and prolonged upleg from here. If the increasing magnitude of each upleg also continues we could possibly see HUI 410 before the next consolidation.
No one holds a crystal ball of the future. All we can do is look for clues in past data and try to use this along with fundamentals to make projections. Many analysts have turned bearish to neutral on the mining sector recently. Gold has moved into uncharted territories because is has not remained this long above $500 for over 24 years. Yet despite some bullish long term predictions appearing in the press everyone, in the short term, is trying to find reasons why gold must correct to the mid 400’s. This I would take as short term bullish and may support what my analysis of the HUI patterns is telling me.

Diese Junior Liste mit 364 Titel kennen die meistens zu den 52 Titel deiner Liste die ebenfalls interessant ist als Vergleich.
Jetzt findet mal die neuen Auf und Absteiger fuer 2006.
Die haelfte beider Listen sind bei mir schon im Depot mit 196 Titel.
Hauptsache da sind ein paar Gewinner dabei die andere Depotleichen ausgleichen und das ganze ins Plus kommt.Tan Range ist hier auf neunter Stelle, ich schau mehr auf die 110-220 bei der Auswahl,wie die Wechselspannungen die es Weltweit gibt.

Frank A LechnerBe cautious, you could get wet. Give it until after the first of the year to determine direction. For now, the market is going to be very volatile and probably heading down as traders do the profit taking thing.
The seasonal tendency for gold to move forward through this time of year is certainly evident once again. While stocks and bonds here in the US are having a very difficult time determining direction, gold has moved to new highs for the move around $540. Having gotten way ahead of itself, it is back around $505. We could easily see a correction back to the $475 levels.
The time is not ripe for an all out shouting match in the gold pits, that day will come later when the retailers arrive to purchase gold. Silver too has been putting in solid gains, now painting $9 per ounce, and then pulling back again. These are significant, but not of the stature of Platinum + $1000 and Copper of + $2 a pound.Not only is this exciting for the physical holders, but it can really set the tone for the rest of your portfolio. This is why I have been pushing physical purchases since 2000. Paper is paper, and physical is real. If we need to remember one thing, it is simply PAPER IS BASED ON THE PHYSICAL.

Der sie fueh bekam, lacht sich eines wie Edel der den Riecher hatte sowie an Sinclair glaubt. Wie ihr alle wisst bin kein Kafferminen Fan ich bin lieber in Suedamerika/China/Canada/Nevada investiert. Falls sie auf die Knie fallen sollte bin ich dabei wie bei GSS, rein als Spass an der Freude :)).Edelman kennt den Wert, ich hoffe es lohnt sich weiter fuer ihn und alle die ihn im Depot bereits haben.
