Major Drilling Reports New Records - Revenues up 45% and Earnings from Continuing Operations up 90% Link

    Auszug:

We believe that following the spin off of the exploration assets, Cabo will become recognised as a pure drilling play where estimates of forward P/E and other measures can be meaningfully applied. It is now seeing an increase in gross margin as well as significant organic growth and should report maiden taxable profits this financial year. In the following year ending 30th June 2008 we are setting a target post-tax profit of C$3m and a target share price of C$1.00. Cabo is exposed to the commodities and mineral exploration cycle, but should now take on the characteristics of a business rather than an exploration venture. The share is a BUY for commodities cycle bulls who are looking for medium term capital appreciation without the risk profile of exploration.

Cabo has four established divisions, all operating out of Canada with a total of approximately one hundred drill rigs that operate in Canada.

    zum Problem qualifiziertes Personal:

Cabo is currently running at a relatively low rig utilisation rate of 45-50%, constrained by lack of staff with suitable experience. The staff issue will be one common to all drilling companies, and is being addressed on a group wide basis with the initiation of new training schemes from the school leaver upwards. The drill rig utilisation rate could do with improvement, but to a certain extent reflects a potential opportunity as much as a problem since the under-utilised rigs are essentially assets bought and paid for in the hands of a company with relatively low debt. Full capacity would be represented by a utilisation rate of 65-70% (considered to be close to full utilisation when one factors in maintenance / overhauling of rigs, rig moving between projects and rigs held for specialized projects).

  • So, das war nicht schlecht,
die O,61 haben gehalten. Zumindest heute.

    1. Die Übernahmefantasie

    2. "Management is conscious of Cabo’s reliance on mineral exploration drilling, and is actively expanding revenues from the geotechnical and civil engineering sectors. The opening of an office in Panama which will seek engineering drilling contracts associated with the Panama Canal expansion is an example of this strategy."

Thursday July 5, 9:00 am ET

The Company is undertaking SilverCrest's Phase II drill program comprised of approximately 40 holes totaling 4,000 meters. Goals of the program include expanding the current resource estimate to the east and to depth, testing the near-surface footwall silver zone, re-classifying much of the "inferred resource" into "measured" and "indicated" resource categories and completing condemnation drilling for proposed operating facilities.

Cypress Development Corp.: Deep Penetrating Diamond Drill Rig Contracted for Broulan Reef Gold Project, Red Lake Ontario
Monday July 9, 9:00 am ET

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - July 9, 2007) - Cypress Development Corp. (TSX VENTURE:CYP - News; the "Company") announces that has made good progress in acquiring a deep penetrating diamond drill rig for its Broulan Reef gold project in Red Lake, Northwestern Ontario. Cabo Drilling (Heath and Sherwood) has been contracted to supply a rig capable of drilling to depths of 2400 - 2600 metres in length.

Broulan Reef Red Lake Location Map: http://www.cypressdevelopmentc…Kenzie-Island-New-Map.jpg

The term of the contract is for a period of 1 year as a starting point. The Company anticipates the rig being mobilized to the Broulan Reef property in early to mid August. Cypress Development is prepared to spend approx. $2.5 million in diamond drilling over the next 12 months. This will include the establishment of a drill site on the east shore of the property. A deep hole will be drilled to the northwest corner of the Broulan Reef property at an angle of approx. 80 degrees. The geological theme here is to enter into the Balmer Assemblage as shallow as possible from the east side of the property and then continue drilling in the Balmer Assemblage of rocks to the northwest corner of the claim group.

Broulan Reef Deep Drill Hole Location Map: http://www.cypressdevelopmentc…roulan_reef_Drill_Map.jpg

Once a mother hole has been established to depth across the property, Cypress plans to initiate a series of wedge drill holes to properly explore the north half of the property from the same location. It is the Company's intention to drill a 2nd mother hole from the same general location on the east side of the property. This hole will be directed generally south southwest across the Broulan Reef property to properly explore the known major geological nose fold that exists on the Broulan Reef property. Cypress plans to initiate a series of wedge holes from this location as well.

The Balmer Assemblage is the known host rock for the ore that is being discovered by Cypress' neighbors, (Gold Eagle Mines, Goldcorp, & Premier Gold). The Balmer Assemblage is the known host environment for the gold that is produced in Red Lake by Goldcorp, perhaps the richest gold mine known in the world today. The same geological horizon, Balmer Assemblage, that is being seen in the Gold Eagle Mines drilling is known to exist on the Cypress Broulan Reef property.

The Company believes that every opportunity exists on the Broulan Reef claims to encounter the extension of the Gold Eagle Mines deposit now being discovered / delineated in the Bruce Channel. Gold Eagle Mines adjoins the Broulan Reef on our immediate north boundary. Gold Eagle continues to drill with 4 drill rigs just to the north of Cypress and with very impressive results released to date.

Goldcorp adjoins the Broulan Reef on our east boundary with their Wilmar property (approx. 10 million tons @ 5 grams Au). Goldcorp also has a new joint venture to the immediate east of the Broulan Reef with Premier Gold. (a new deposit estimated to contain approx. 750,000 ounce gold).

Goldcorp has recently invested in a private placement with Cypress Development in the amount of $2.6 million. Goldcorp, in essence, has acquired 4.8% of the outstanding shares of Cypress with an option to acquire another 4.8% via the exercise of $1.00 warrants attached to the private placement.

Cabo to Drill Up to 11,000 Meters for Paragon Minerals Corporation
Wednesday July 18, 9:02 am ET

NORTH VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - July 18, 2007) - Cabo Drilling Corp.'s (TSX VENTURE:CBE - News; "Cabo" or the "Company") Atlantic division, Cabo Drilling (Atlantic) Corp., has entered into a contract with Paragon Minerals Corporation of Vancouver, British Columbia, to drill up to 11,000 meters on eight gold and base metal projects in central Newfoundland.

Drilling has commenced on Paragon's Golden Promise Project (a property under option to Crosshair Exploration & Mining). The drilling program will consist of 3,750-meters (23 holes) and will target the Jaclyn Main Zone (2,950 meters) and the Jaclyn North zone (800 meters). The planned drill program at the Jaclyn Main Zone will consist of infill and step-out drilling. The infill drilling is designed to test the grade continuity within the core of the vein system with the aim of building a National Instrument 43-101 compliant resource. The step-out drilling is aimed at further extending the mineralized zone. The Jaclyn North Zone, located approximately 200 meters north-northwest of the Jaclyn Main Zone, has seen limited drilling (six holes, 1,197 meters) with drill intercepts of 5.24 g/t gold over 1.7 meters (GP06-51). Drilling will consist of step-out drilling to test the continuity of the Jaclyn North Zone.

In addition to Paragon's Golden Promise Project, Cabo will drill three of Paragon's 100% owned base metal VMS projects (Lake Douglas, South Tally Pond and Harpoon projects) located in the highly prospective Victoria Lake volcanic belt in central Newfoundland and four of Paragon's 100% owned gold projects (JBP Linear, Appleton Linear, New World and Mt. Peyton) located in the Gander area, Newfoundland.

Cabo Awarded Deep Drilling Contract for Cypress Development's Broulan Reef Project
Monday July 23, 9:00 am ET

NORTH VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - July 23, 2007) - Cabo Drilling Corp.'s (TSX VENTURE:CBE - News; "Cabo" or the "Company") Ontario subsidiary, Cabo Drilling (Ontario) Corp., of Kirkland Lake, Ontario, has been awarded a contract by Cypress Development Corp. (TSX VENTURE:CYP - News) for 15,000 feet of NQ core drilling. The drilling will occur on Cypress' Broulan Reef gold project, in the Bruce Channel area, in Red Lake, Northwestern Ontario.

The Company will utilize a JKS Boyles BBS-75 diamond drill capable of drilling to depths of 2,400 meters. Cabo anticipates the rig being mobilized to the Broulan Reef property in September 2007.

The program will commence from a drill site established on the eastern boundary of the property. A deep "mother-hole" will be drilled at an approximate angle of 80 degrees, to the northwest corner of the Broulan Reef property. The geological target is the Balmer Assemblage of rocks and the mother-hole will enter the Balmer Assemblage at its shallowest point on the east side of the property and continue in the Balmer Assemblage of rocks to the northwest corner of the claim group.

Once the mother-hole has been established to depth across the property, Cabo will drill a series of holes wedged off the mother-hole to explore the north half of the property. Cypress intends to drill a 2nd mother-hole from the same general location on the east side of the property. This second hole will be directed generally south-southwest across the Broulan Reef property to explore the known major geological nose fold on the Broulan Reef property. Cypress plans a series of wedge holes from this 2nd location as well.

Cypress Development Corp. is a diversified precious and base metal exploration and development company based in Vancouver, British Columbia, with properties in Red Lake, Ontario, Canada, and in Nevada, U.S.A.
