China hebt Bindung des Yuan an den Dollar auf !!!

    Ich habe noch keinen Artikel zum Thema, den ich hier reinstellen koennte, doch meinen Informationen zufolge hat China soeben die Bindung des Yuan an den US-Dollar aufgegeben!


    Duerfte nicht lange dauern, dass wir es in den grossen Medien nachlesen koenne.

    China gibt die Bindung nicht komplett auf, fixt den Yuan aber kuenftig wohl gegen einen Waehrungsbasket, was zu einer Aufwertung gegen den US-Dollar um rund 2.5% fuehrt.


    Positiv fuer Gold.

    LONDON, July 21 (Reuters) - The yen rallied sharply against the dollar and the euro on Thursday after China said it has given up the U.S. dollar peg and would allow the yuan to appreciate to 8.11 per dollar.
    "In general the reaction we have seen is same as what we saw last time when they raised interest rates. People are buying the yen again," said Kristjan Kasikov, currency strategist at Calyon.
    The yen rose as high as 111.34 per dollar <JPY=> by 1111 GMT, roughly one yen higher from pre-announcement levels around 112.40.
    Against the euro the Japanese currency rallied to around 135.60 <EURJPY=> from pre-announcement levels near 136.40.
    State-run Xinhua news agency said China adopted a basket of currencies to manage the yuan.
