  • VMS Ventures Inc.: Drilling at Reed Lake Discovery Zone to Commence Monday
Thursday November 1, 2:32 pm ET

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(MARKET WIRE)--Nov 1, 2007 -- VMS Ventures Inc. (CDNX:VMS.V - News) (the "Company") has been informed by the contractor that drilling is expected to commence at its Reed Lake project near Snow Lake, Manitoba, on or before Monday, November 5, 2007.

The Company is permitted to drill up to 14 holes and expects to drill up to 4,000 meters. Initial drilling will be focused on and around RD 07 02, which intersected 43.05 meters of 4.38% copper reported previously (October 4, 2007). A pattern of holes on 25 meter spacings will be positioned at the discovery zone.

President John Roozendaal states, "The geological information we acquire from this drill program will be used to determine the strike, dip and plunge of the mineralized body. This, then, will assist us in designing our next drill program around the deposit to follow the extent of mineralization to depth and along strike."

Freeze-up in Manitoba allows much greater access to many more drill targets covered by bogs and water. The Company is planning an aggressive winter exploration program at Reed Lake and is presently seeking permits for up to 40 drill holes consisting of up to 15,000 meters of drilling beginning, weather permitting, in January 2008.

A large VTEM airborne geophysical survey is planned to commence on all of VMS Ventures' southern Snow Lake properties before the end of the year. Over 9,000 line km of flight lines will cover 13 separate property areas held by the Company, and will include a second fly over the Discovery Zone at an angle perpendicular to the first fly completed in early 2007.

VMS Ventures Inc. is focused primarily on acquiring, exploring and developing copper-zinc properties in the Flin Flon-Snow Lake VMS Belt. The Company also holds the largest land package considered prospective for nickel-copper mineralization at Lynn Lake, which is to date Canada's third largest nickel producing camp. The Company's project portfolio consists of the Snow Lake VMS project, the Lynn Lake Gabbros nickel-copper project, the Nickel Belt project, the South Bay nickel-copper-cobalt PGE property, and the Eden Lake Carbonatite Complex, Specialty Metals property. All VMS Ventures Inc. properties are located in the mining friendly province of Manitoba, Canada.

VMS Snow Lake, Manitoba Exploration Update
Thursday November 22, 6:30 am ET

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Nov. 22, 2007) - VMS Ventures Inc. (TSX VENTURE:VMS - News; the "Company") is pleased to update shareholders on its exploration activities in the Snow Lake area of Manitoba.

Drilling is underway on the Reed Lake Discovery Zone and the second hole of the program has now been completed. Eight drill hole locations have been selected around the discovery hole, RD07-02, and the results of these holes will be used to determine the probable orientation of the mineralized body.

In addition, preparations are being made for down-hole geophysical surveys of these new drill holes around the discovery hole. Down-hole geophysical surveys employ a probe which travels down the bore hole taking readings from the top to the bottom of the hole. This survey method enables detection of conductive sulphide bodies within approximately 100m of the borehole. This information can help geologists determine the location of additional lenses of sulphide mineralization, as these deposits commonly consist of several individual lenses.

Permits are pending for the construction of grid lines to be cut on the southern portion of the Reed Lake property in the area covering the Discovery Zone, and several nearby VTEM anomalies, to allow for Surface Deep EM geophysical surveys. These are designed to detect hidden bodies of mineralization to depths much greater than the current drilling is targeting.

More than 40 drill holes are currently being planned for the upcoming winter program at the Discovery Zone. The Company is also preparing permit applications for 2008 drilling at other VMS and Nickel exploration properties, in addition to the Reed Lake property.

The drilling is progressing as planned and samples will be shipped for assaying once drill core has been logged and processed. All technical information in this release has been reviewed by Dr. George Gale, P.Eng, the Qualified Person, Vice President of Exploration and director of VMS Ventures Inc.

  • VMS Ventures Inc.: 2nd Drill Mobilized at Discovery Zone; Control Grid Underway Near Snow Lake, Manitoba
Tuesday December 4, 6:30 am ET

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Dec. 4, 2007) - VMS Ventures Inc. (TSX VENTURE:VMS - News; the "Company") is pleased to update shareholders on its exploration activities in the Snow Lake area of Manitoba.

The drill program on the Discovery Zone is progressing and hole 4 is nearing completion. A second drill is being mobilized onto the Discovery Zone. As well, a third drill is anticipated to begin drilling additional targets in January.

Down Hole and Deep EM ground geophysical surveys are being prepared and are expected to be completed before the Christmas holiday break later in the month. A 65 line kilometer surface control grid is now under construction in preparation for the Deep EM surface geophysical survey. This survey is of particular significance as it is the same survey credited with the identification of anomalies which guided the drilling of the recently discovered Lalor Lake Zinc massive sulphide deposit by HudBay Minerals (TSX:HBM - News), near the Chisel North Mine, also within the Snow Lake mining camp. The surface Deep EM geophysical survey will commence once the Down Hole geophysical surveying has been completed.

The Down Hole geophysical survey employs a probe that travels down the bore hole and takes readings from the top to the bottom of the hole. This survey method enables detection of conductive sulphide bodies within approximately 100m of the bore hole. This information can help geologists determine the location of additional lenses of sulphide mineralization, and/or thicker and more conductive parts of the mineralized body.

The information being gathered from the drilling now underway on the Reed Lake Discovery Zone will be used to determine the probable orientation of the mineralized body. The addition of Bore Hole and Deep EM geophysical survey results will greatly enhance our picture of the conductors associated with the mineralization, and more importantly, enable the detection of hidden mineralized bodies at greater depths. The ground survey will provide much greater resolution than the VTEM airborne geophysical survey that provided the initial drill targets on the property.

Die Artikel über Roxmark und VMS sind sehr lesenswert, danke.

Was gut herausgestellt wird, daß RMK ordentlich Cash Flow erarbeitet:

""As a Company, our objectives are to bring the Northern Empire Mine-selected over other Roxmark properties for its low capital cost and logistical advantages- to commercial production quickly, while continuing to further delineate resources at other properties both on our own and through joint ventures."

    About Roxmark Mines

Roxmark Mines Limited is the leader in gold and molybdenum exploration and development in the historically significant Geraldton-Beardmore area of Northwest Ontario. In the last two years, Roxmark has generated cash flow from bulk-sampled gold and molybdenum processed at its fully-permitted mill and has the advantage of infrastructure from six formerly highly productive gold mines located on its properties. :) These mines previously produced nearly two million ounces of gold from high grade ore but were closed primarily due to dramatically lower gold prices at the time and to boundary issues, since eliminated...."

    So im Nachhinein betrachtet....................

VMS Ventures Inc. to Commence Large VTEM Airborne Survey Over Snow Lake VMS Belt Properties, and Nickel Properties in Manitoba
Thursday January 3, 3:26 pm ET

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Jan. 3, 2008) - VMS Ventures Inc. (TSX VENTURE:VMS - News; the "Company") is pleased to announce that it has contracted Geotech Ltd. of Aurora, Ontario to use its high definition, deep penetrating airborne geophysical VTEM technology to fly a large survey over several of its exploration properties in Manitoba. The survey will focus on copper-zinc prospective properties in the Snow Lake area as well as various nickel sulphide prospective properties elsewhere in Manitoba. This will be a relatively large program. The total flight lines planned exceed 18,500 line kilometers. The program budget is more than $2 million dollars and flying is expected to begin in the next week.

The copper-zinc-gold-silver discovery at the Company's Reed Lake property announced in October, 2007 was made while drill testing anomalies generated from VTEM geophysical data. The geophysical Magnetic and EM data collected by this new survey, once interpreted, will provide anomalies which allow geologists to focus their exploration efforts on specific sites within large properties with the goal of generating prospective drill targets.

The VTEM (Versatile Time-Domain Electromagnetic) survey is the leading airborne geophysical system in use today. This 2008 survey will cover a large portion of the Company's land holdings in the Snow Lake area which was not covered in the initial spring 2007 survey. The areas VMS have chosen to fly have evidence of sulphide mineralization from surface exposures, drill intercepts or other key geological features such as alteration minerals, associated with these types of deposits.

The VTEM survey has documented capabilities to detect highly conductive rock bodies such as massive sulphide deposits to greater depths than the previous generation of airborne systems. This is particularly useful for the discovery of buried or hidden massive sulphide deposits in the Snow Lake Mining Camp. This technology enables a more effective means to explore the southern portion of the VMS Snow Lake Belt land holdings, where Paleozoic aged limestone sediments cover the prospective greenstone rocks.

All technical information in this release has been reviewed by Dr. George Gale, P.Eng, the Qualified Person, Vice President of Exploration and director of VMS Ventures Inc.

    About VTEM

The VTEM system employs a large, somewhat tent-shaped array that hangs from the underside of the helicopter, with a large outer loop at the bottom end. A current is sent through this outer loop, which energizes the ground, creating a secondary return EM field that is measured by the smaller, inner receiving loop and recorded digitally for analysis.

VMS Ventures Inc.: Hole RD 07-12 Assays 31.74m of 2.09% Cu and 3.56% Zn; Hole RD 08-22 Intersects 25.75m NSS at Discovery Zone
Wednesday February 6, 6:30 am ET

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(MARKET WIRE)--Feb 6, 2008 -- VMS Ventures Inc. (CDNX:VMS.V - News) (the Company) is pleased to report assay results and an update of its ongoing drill program at the Reed Project Discovery Zone near Snow Lake, Manitoba

    Highlights:

    Hole RD 07-12: 31.74m (104.13 ft) with 2.09% Cu and 3.56% Zn

    - Including 17.22m (56.5 ft) with 1.27% Cu and 4.41% Zn

    - Including 4.98m (16.34 ft) with 5.41% Cu and 3.46% Zn

Hole RD 08-22: 25.75m (84.48 ft) of Near Solid Sulphide, Assays pending

Vice President of Exploration, Dr. George Gale, states: "Hole RD 07-12 provides more certainty that we are building a deposit typical for this belt. The Cu and Zn intersections and grades not only continue to be of economic significance, but the copper and zinc is often appearing as metal-rich zones within the sulphide lense. This type of metal zonation is common to well developed VMS deposits. In addition, blocks of sulphide and magnetite within the NSS intersections suggest that parts of the sulphide lense may have been formed by a debris flow. Hole RD 08-22 provides us another substantial intersection of Near Solid Sulphide (NSS), and this 25.75m intersection plots approximately 40 metres below the NSS reported in RD 08-20 on January 29, 2008. We are using NSS to indicate that the intersections contain greater than 75% sulphide minerals."
