"Completed 280 room Abra accommodation village.
Galena Mining Ltd (ASX:G1A, FRA:GM6) has ended the June quarter cashed up with A$96.2 million and a strong focus on the construction of its Abra Base Metals Project in WA to achieve first production by the first quarter of 2023.
Upcoming value-adding and corporate milestone workstreams include the mobilisation of its underground mining contractor, the start of decline development and the beginning of onsite construction of its liquid gas storage facility and site power station.
Other activities include the start of initial non-processing infrastructure including TSF, aerodrome, mining workshops and first stage buildings, the on-site construction of its process plant, key procurement and overall construction milestones as well as various stages of project commissioning.
A further 2% of early-stage and enabling construction works have been completed at Abra, taking cumulative project completion to 17% .Abra Project final investment decision
On June 15 a final investment decision (FID) was made for the Abra Project, with first production of its high-value, high-grade lead-silver concentrate on schedule for the first quarter of 2023.
This FID confirms that Abra is poised to join the ranks of high margin Australian base metals producers by authorising the main construction activities.
Procurement of certain long-lead time items has commenced and the company's underground mining contractor is expected to initiate the portal and decline development by the end of the current quarter.
Physical on-site plant construction is expected to kick off in the fourth quarter of 2021.
Commercial initiatives supporting Abra
Prior to the quarter, Galena executed definitive agreements with Toho setting out the terms for Toho’s investment of A$90 million in tranches for a 40% ownership interest in Galena’s previously wholly-owned subsidiary, AMPL.
During the quarter the A$40 million final investment tranche was received from Toho.
Galena also put in place US$110 million in finalised debt facilities arranged by Taurus Funds Management prior to the quarter, with the facilities including a US$100 million Project Finance Facility plus a US$10 million cost overrun facility.
AMPL received the first drawdown under the Project Finance Facility in the amount of US$30 million, leaving US$80 million undrawn under remaining facilities .Exploration
A full review of the prospects around Abra and other exploration targets was concluded during the quarter, defining five high-priority targets that have the potential to host similar base and precious metals mineralisation as Abra.
Amongst the work completed during the Quarter, a downhole geophysical survey was concluded for the deepest drill-hole ever drilled at Abra (AB195) to identify any potential conductive source associated with massive sulphide mineralisation, particularly in the interpreted copper-gold zone.
The downhole geophysical survey included electromagnetic, magnetic susceptibility, magnetic and conductivity surveys.
A significant magnetic conductive source was identified that is still being interpreted by the company’s consultant geophysicists ." -

Quartals Aktivitäten report ; Highfield Resources CEO, Mr Salazar, said: “The grant of the Mining Concession has been a major achievement and elevates the Muga project and the Company into a completely different phase. We are already preparing for construction, advancing on all fronts. I had the opportunity to thank our staff for their efforts and the Administrations in an event we ran at the mine site on the 16 July 2021 with the endorsement of the President of Navarra. Muga is a unique project and has the potential to deliver great benefits to all our stakeholders. And we are moving forward to build it”
+ As announced just after the quarter end (refer ASX release 5 July 2021, “Muga Project Receives Mining Concession”), Highfield Resources (“Highfield or “the Company”) was granted the Mining Concessions for three areas that comprise the Muga Project (“Muga” or “the Project”), namely Fronterizo, Muga and Goyo.
+ Following the award of the Mining Concessions, the Company’s priorities have focused on the preparation of the construction at Muga. While this preparation had been advanced in the last few months, the Company is already expediting key pre-construction activities including:
- Completion of the construction agreement with our preferred contractor;
- Finalising pending procurement of equipment and the request to initiate the construction of the bolter miner; and
- Managing the local town hall construction licenses.
+ In parallel with these activities, and together with Endeavour Financial, the Company is reviewing its financing options, for both debt and other sources of capital, including strategic investors + Cash at the bank as at 30 June 2021 was: A$12.6m.

"Artist’s impression of the Muga Project.
Highfield Resources Ltd is preparing to move into the construction phase at its flagship Muga Project in Spain after closing out the 2021 financial year.
The potash company spent the June quarter completing the final steps to secure mining concessions covering the Fronterizo, Muga and Goyo areas, which make up the Muga Project.
Looking ahead, Highfield intends to negotiate a construction agreement with its preferred construction partner, Acciona, and progress financial discussions to secure debt and equity funding alongside Endeavour Financial.
It will also expedite other pre-construction activities, such as finalise an equipment procurement and manage the local town hall construction licences in Navarra and Aragón.At the end of the June quarter, Highfield had around A$12.6 million in the bank to support its operations as it prepares to enter construction.
“Advancing on all fronts”Highfield Resources CEO Ignacio Salazar said: “The grant of the mining concession has been a major achievement and elevates the Muga project and the company into a completely different phase .
“We are ALREADY PREPARING FOR CONSTRUCTION, advancing on all fronts .
“I had the opportunity to thank our staff for their efforts and the administrations in an event we ran at the mine site on July 16, 2021, with the endorsement of the President of Navarra.
“Muga is a unique project and has the potential to deliver great benefits to all our stakeholders. And we are moving forward to build it.”
Muga ProjectHighfield’s flagship potash project spans roughly 60 square kilometres across Spain’s Navarra and Aragón regions.
Over the June quarter, the ASX-lister took the final steps necessary to prepare the asset for mining concession approval and, on July 5, Highfield received the greenlight and began preparations to enter construction at the potash project.
With the mining concessions now granted, Highfield will finalise the purchase of some long-lead-time equipment. The company has already shared the information with its construction partner, Acciona, to progress with the negotiation of the construction agreement and the project implementation.
More broadly, Highfield has already signed non-binding memorandums of understanding representing more than its full Phase-1 production capacity for potash and salt at the Muga Potash Mine.
Positively, supply constraints in the potash market seen during the quarter have encouraged discussions with traders, potential offtake partners and logistics partners interested in a strategic participation in the project.
Now, with the mining concessions under its belt, Highfield believes work towards debt financing for the Spanish potash asset will accelerate.
The company is able to finalise its preparation for the debt financing work in conjunction with Endeavour Financial, while preparation for the financiers’ independent technical, social, environmental and market due diligence is underway .Highfield ended the June quarter with $12.6 million in the bank, while some of its key quarterly expenses related to engineering above and below ground, a second payment for a crystallizer and a down payment to kick-off the works to upgrade the electric substation that will feed the Muga Potash Mine during commissioning.
The potash developer has enough capital to sustain operations for more than three quarters, if its cash burn remains consistent."

Good Luck
