Klar kann man dann daraus (aus dem ultrakurzen times-Artikel) gleich was tolles "abartiges" und "reißerisches" konstruieren, wie Herr Werner, muß man aber nicht

Interessant hingegen ist die Information, daß sowieso schon 31% des holländischen Goldes bei der FED in New York liegen. Weshalb also die Aufregung? Sowas ist doch schneller konfisziert als Bestände, die noch in Holland liegen. Oder es wird einfach nicht zurückgegeben (siehe London und Venezuela) - wenn es denn überhaupt noch in New York liegt - oder vielleicht geswappt oder weiterverkauft oder... ...wer weiß das denn schon so genau...

Sagen wir mal so - alles mit weniger Gehalten wäre fast schon als Mist zu bezeichnen gewesen schließlich geht es hier gerade um Infill-Drilling zur Bestätigung vorhandener Bereiche und Eliminierung "weißer" Flecken auf der Ressourcenkarte. Also sind die aktuellen Ergebnisse im Vergleich zu anderen Lagerstätten und aktuellen Projekten auf den ersten Blick zwar herausragend, in der Tat, aber bei Berücksichtigung bereits erbohrter Gehalte halt "Durchschnitt" und erwartbar.

LONDON, May 19 (Reuters) - Britain published plans to ban imports of Russian diamonds, copper, aluminium and nickel on Friday and announced new sanctions against Russia, targeting companies connected to the suspected theft of Ukrainian grain.
The United States and Canada also announced new penalties on Russia over its war against Ukraine. Washington imposed sanctions on gold producer Polyus <PLZL> and the Russian business of its peer, Polymetal, which would further damage Russian gold sales already hit by Western sanctions and restrictions.
The UK import ban, however, will only have a muted impact as Russian exports of those commodities to the UK have already dropped after the imposition of tariffs.
"We will legislate later this year to ban imports of Russian diamonds, and end all imports of Russian-origin copper, aluminium and nickel," British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said in a statement.
Data shows Britain imported only a small proportion of its aluminium, nickel and diamonds from Russia.
Last March the British government placed 35% additional duties on imports of Russian base metals. Then the London Metal Exchange (LME) suspended deliveries of Russian copper, aluminium, nickel and lead into its approved warehouses in Britain, although there was none stored in them.
"The LME will closely monitor the latest development for further details and will communicate to the market in due course should the LME consider any further action is required beyond the suspension that is already in place," it said on Friday.
Russia is a major producer of aluminium, nickel and diamonds. Britain's import ban plans were announced before the G7 nations discuss how to trace Russia's diamond trade with the aim of imposing restrictions at a later stage.
"The global market is fluid, rich in alternative destinations," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Friday, when asked about possible future diamond restrictions in the European Union.
Russia is also one of the world's largest producers of gold, along with China and Australia.
The latest U.S. penalties on its two major gold miners' operations come on top of sanctions on major Russian banks, which used to be the main gold exporters from the country before the war, and June's ban by Britain, the United States, Japan and Canada of new imports of Russian gold.
The ban was imposed when Russian exports to the West had already dried up as the Russian gold trade, according to industry players, was rerouted to Asia, where most countries have not imposed sanctions on Russia.

'SHADY ENTITIES'
Britain also targeted "shady individuals and entities" connected to the theft and resale of Ukrainian grain, something Russia has been accused of and has denied.
Targeting entities involved in grain trading is unusual as such activity typically comes under humanitarian exemptions. Both Russia and Ukraine are major grain exporters to Africa and the Middle East.
"This grain, and other agricultural goods, has been reportedly stolen from warehouses and fields in the temporarily occupied territories in Ukraine," the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office said in a statement.
Russian nickel and copper producer Nornickel and Polymetal declined to comment. Aluminium producer Rusal, diamond miner Alrosa and Polyus did not reply to Reuters requests for comment.

WASHINGTON, May 19 (Reuters) - The United States and its partners on Friday announced new penalties aimed at punishing Russia for its invasion of Ukraine, intensifying what is already one of the harshest sanctions efforts ever implemented.
Washington targeted Russia's sanctions evasion, future energy revenues and military-industrial supply chains, imposing sanctions on more than 300 targets.
The move comes on the first day of the three-day G7 summit in Japan and marks the latest sanctions and export controls targeting Moscow, which have hit thousands of targets and imposed steep curbs on Russia.
"Today’s actions will further tighten the vise on (Russian President Vladimir) Putin’s ability to wage his barbaric invasion and will advance our global efforts to cut off Russian attempts to evade sanctions," U.S. Treasury Department Secretary Janet Yellen said in a statement.
Russia's embassy in Washington did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The U.S. and Europe imposed financial penalties on Russia immediately following the start of the war last year and have steadily ratcheted up the pressure since then, targeting Putin and officials close to him, the financial sector and oligarchs.
Experts say Washington could still impose tougher penalties, however - while the sanctions have clearly damaged Russia's economy, they have so far failed to stop Putin from pursuing a war that has killed tens of thousands and turned cities to rubble.

HUNDREDS OF TARGETS
The Treasury Department said it imposed sanctions on 22 people and 104 entities with touchpoints in over 20 countries or jurisdictions, including companies that import, ship or manufacture electronics components, semiconductors and microelectronics to Russia.
U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said Friday's action targeted an international network that procures components for the Russia-based entity responsible for the manufacture of the Orlan drone, which Russian forces and their proxies are using in Ukraine.
As part of its crackdown in recent months on Russia's evasion of sanctions, the Treasury Department designated people and entities in Switzerland, Germany and Liechtenstein on Friday.
Among the targets on Friday were Russian intelligence services procurement networks and agents, including in Liechtenstein and the Netherlands. The Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation was also hit with sanctions.
Washington has previously warned that the Kremlin has tasked its intelligence services with finding ways to circumvent sanctions to replace equipment lost on the battlefield.
The Treasury Department said it was also imposing sanctions on Russia’s energy educational and research institutions in a bid to “limit Russia’s future extractive capabilities” by targeting the training grounds for Russia’s future energy specialists, and sites where new extraction technologies are developed.

The Biden administration also halted the export of wide range of consumer goods to Russia on Friday and added 71 companies to a Commerce Department's list that bars suppliers from selling them U.S. technology without a hard-to-obtain license.
John Herbst, a former U.S. ambassador to Ukraine, said that while international sanctions have had an impact on Russia’s economy, much more could still be done.
"Certainly, sanctions can be toughened on the (Russian) banking sector," said Herbst, now with the Atlantic Council think tank, adding that it has been a partial application. "They’ve gone after several of them, but others are able to operate."

Das ist genau das, was für die Amis drüben in dem Forum, das Du verlinkt hast, auch Mister C64 beschrieben hat. (Deren Problem ist ja vielmehr der Reisepass - wochenlang warten...). Die Aktionen letztes Jahr, Mails schreiben, telefonieren, hat den meisten ADR-Haltern der russischen Ölers genau nix gebracht. Nicht mal der russische Weg war den meisten vergönnt, wie die SDK letztens deprimiert feststellen mußte.

Das Problem sind die verschiedenen Jurisdiktionen (US, EU, dritte) und das Verhalten der einzelnen Banken und deren Intermediäre. Was für Amis und extra-EU geht, geht halt nicht immer auch für D und EU. Wie Du gesagt hast: private Firmen sind hier die Entscheider! Lagerstelle, Bank, Broker. Für jeden "Endkunden" ist der Dschungel folglich ein anderer und somit ein individueller.

Selbst sowas wie ein popliger Depotübertrag kanadischer Aktien (Wertpapierrechnung D, Lagerland CA) von Postbank zu TradeRepublic hat letztens mal fast 7 Wochen gedauert...

Durchkämpfen. Mein erster Schritt war, wie gesagt, FF. Das Offenhalten weiterer Optionen. Von dem Modell ADR/GDR weiß ich aber in Zukunft Abstand zu halten. Aber selbst Originale sind ja, dank der Politisierung des Finanzsektors, keineswegs "sicher". Nichteinmal Gold 1934 in den USA war es... Wegnehmen können "die da oben" alles, wenn sie es nur wollen und Leute zur Durchsetzung haben. Mitläufer gibt es ja genug...

So, reicht mit Jammern für heute...

Das bringt so in der Form wahrscheinlich nichts, weil als Korrespondent nicht der "beneficial holder", sondern nur der Broker entsprechend handeln (und verhandeln) kann. Auf die Abwicklungssysteme haben halt nur die Banken/Broker Zugriff. Nur zu sagen "Hallo, hier bin ich, das will ich" hilft da leider nicht weiter, sondern streut Sand ins Getriebe. Wenn überhaupt Antwort kommt, dann sicher nach Wochen: "Fragen Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker - äh, Bänker"...

Als Teilnehmer in diesem Sammelverwahrungsgedöns bist Du eben auf den guten Willen Deiner Bank angewiesen. Und selbst wenn Du jahrelang fleißig Gebühren gezahlt hast - wenn es in Arbeit ausartet, ist es für die einfacher, Dich abzuweisen... ...das ist knallhartes Business. Daß man dadurch natürlich auch Kunden und Umsatz riskiert, juckt doch den Mitarbeiter an der Front überhaupt nicht.

Wenn also schon die Deutsche Bank (telefonisch) sagt "Keine ADR-Wandlung ohne von der Lagerstelle angestoßene Maßnahme", kannst Du da einfach nichts machen. Das hat schon letztes Jahr diese anderen ADR-Geschichten aufgezeigt. Die eine Bank macht es, die andere nicht. Das ist fast wie Lotto-Spielen.

In diesem Sinne sind manche Gebühren bei FF wenigstens wieder nachvollziehbar - Kosten bei Depotübertrag (bitte beachten) und bei Wandlung.

Vielleicht als Gedanke für Evgeny, falls Du ihm nochmal schreibst: Daß BNYMellon vielleicht über die Lagerstellen eine Kapitalmaßnahme ANKÜNDIGEN sollte über die internen Mitteilungswege, auf die die Banken ihre Kunden dann hinweisen müssen kommt ja oft genug vor.

Nachdem ich letztes Jahr noch gezögert hatte, im Rahmen der Umwandlung von ADR auf russische Öler bei FF24 ein Depot zu eröffnen (hätte ich damals schon machen sollen hinterher weiß man mehr), habe ich gestern nun doch vorsorglich diesen Schritt unternommen. Soeben eine kleine Order in Astana platziert... ...und schon ein paar Stück ergattert im ersten Monat sogar provisionsfrei.

Gereicht hat mein "mobile", mein Reisepass, meine Visage und ein Brief meiner Bank für die Adresse (hab eine Bruchteilsregulierungsabrechnung genommen). Ok, bisserl Englischkenntnisse haben nicht geschadet... Überweisung zur Einzahlung geht entweder nach London oder Lefkosia via SEPA-Überweisung. Letztere war, gestern nachmittag beauftragt, heute schon angekommen - SEPA innerhalb EU halt.

Jetzt habe ich zumindest wieder mehr Optionen in diesem Dschungel. Das ist nun schon mein fünfter Broker innerhalb eines Jahres... ...Diversifizierung! Klar, steuerlich fürs Finanzamt wird es nun (schon wieder) komplizierter...

Wäre jetzt noch der Kurs der ADR in Frankfurt halbwegs angenehm, würd ich die einfach vertickern, das Cash transferieren und in Astana wieder einkaufen. Wenn...

Harren wir also der Dinge, die da noch kommen.

Die Lage in den Büro-Immos verschlechtert sich zunehmend - dank Home-Office und so weiter...

Das stützt die Sicht auf die Lage, wie sie Michael Ballanger auf den Goldseiten (in Übersetzung seines Artikels "Neubewertung von Sicherheiten am Horizont" auf theaureport.com) letztens mittels eines konkreten Falls in LA kommuniziert hat. Verweis darauf (zuerst @brunix hier) und nachfolgend Link mit Zitat (hier) landeten allerdings im UraniumEnergyFaden...

Es geht um das Problem der Büro-Immobilienbesitzer, die kreditfinanziert haben, ein Zinsänderungsrisiko möglicherweise nicht abgesichert haben, und mit höchstwahrscheinlich weniger Einnahmen dank rückläufiger Belegung konfrontiert sind -- entspricht also hochgradigem Bewertungssprengstoff... ...mit Sekundärfolgenrisiko.

Interessant ist da schon eher noch was anderes. Denn was sind heute schon 50 Mio USD in Gold... ...Peanuts! Dem Originalartikel, den die Goldseiten-Meldung jedoch nur stark zusammengefaßt wiedergibt, kann man entnehmen: "Palantir also revealed that at the end of Q1, it held $1.62 billion in U.S. Treasury securities. 'Cash equivalents primarily consist of money market funds and U.S. treasury securities with original maturities of three months or less, which are invested primarily with U.S. financial institutions,' the firm's filing said."

1620 Mio USD in Kurzläufern... nun ja

Das ist die Art von Informationen, die in den Mainstream-Medien nie gesendet wird und schon gar nicht von Medien, die an einer unvoreingenommenen Berichterstattung interessiert sind. CNBC ist durch die Werbekampagnen und Werbestücke der Wall Street so kompromittiert worden, dass sie gezwungen sind, jede Geschichte, die als "bearisch" ausgelegt werden könnte, auszusparen, um ihre Werbekunden nicht durch die Verbreitung von bärischen Nachrichten zu verärgern.

Wenn Bürotürme in L.A. durch steigende Leerstandsquoten und höhere Kreditkosten in die Zwangsverwaltung gedrängt werden, können Sie darauf wetten, dass die gleiche Malaise in Großstädten in Nordamerika und Europa grassiert. [...]
