    Project Overview and Geology


    Location & Geography


    The Tainiovaara Project is located in eastern Finland, approximately 440 kilometers northeast of Helsinki (Figure 1). Situated in the Region of Pohjois-Karjala, Tainiovaara is about 80 kilometers north of Joensuu, a city of 55,000 inhabitants. The property is located 8 kilometers northeast of the Town of Lieksa (population 11,000).

    Tainiovaara is near a provincial highway and is accessible via paved and gravel roads. Joensuu, a one-hour drive from Tainiovaara, has an airport with connections to Helsinki and is serviced by rail, connecting it to major cities in Finland.


    Finland in Brief


    Finland is a highly advanced, mining-friendly Nordic country of 5.2 million people. Situated in northern Europe, it is bordered by Sweden to the west, Russia to the east, and Norway to the north. With a land area of 341,848 square kilometers, Finland is one of the largest countries in Europe and has a relatively low population density.


    Covered with more than 60,000 lakes, Finland has a vast amount of coniferous forest with some agricultural lands in the south and southwest of the country. The terrain is mostly flat with some rolling hills and higher peaks in the northern part of the country.


    Democratic since gaining independence from Russia in 1917, Finland experienced rapid industrialization after World War II. Over the last 60 years, Finland has balanced a good relationship with both Western Europe (member of the European Union since 1995) and Russia.


    Finland consistently ranks as one of the most economically competitive countries in the world and is also one of the least corrupt. GDP per capita is comparable to other Western European countries and the transportation and telecommunications infrastructure is world-class.


    Past Exploration Resource Definition


    The deposit was found by the Geological Survey of Finland (GTK) in 1975 after drift prospecting in the area turned up about 2 dozen boulders with grades ranging from 0.18 to 3.6% nickel and averaging 1.49% nickel and 0.09% copper.




    GTK carried out a ground magnetic survey, trenching with point sampling, and drilled 14 holes totaling 1517 meters. The conclusion was that the deposit dipped west at 70 degrees, trended north and pinched out at depth and along strike, although at both ends of the 165 meters of length drilled, the last holes were in mineralization.


    In 1984-85, Myllykoski Oy followed up on a high-grade intercept intersected by GTK through further diamond drilling, expanding the size of the high-grade zone.


    The high-grade zone was test-mined in open pit by Outokumpu in 1989. A total of 19,984 tons of ore were extracted and processed at Pyhäsalmi Mine. The average grade obtained from the bulk sample was: 1.4% nickel and 0.3% copper, the second highest nickel grade ever extracted from mine production in Finland.


    Geological Overview

    The Tainiovaara nickel project is situated in a fragment of Archaean greenstone belt within Late Archaean granitoid-gneiss rocks and is likely the displaced southern extension of the Kuhmo Greenstone Belt (Figure 2). The deposit is in komatiitic ultramafics rocks in a similar geological setting as known deposits of nickel being mined in the Kambalda district of Western Australia and the ‘Raglan-type’ deposits of Northern Quebec. The Kamblada Region is one of the world’s most prolific nickel camps, having produced over 1.1 million tons of nickel to-date.


    The 150-plus kilometer long north-south Kuhmo Greenstone Belt is known to contain komatiitic-type nickel deposits, though they have been underexplored.


    Mineralization


    The mineralization is a flattened, pipe-like body that plunges from surface in a direction of N25W at 40 to 45 degrees. The body in cross section has an elliptical shape with a short axis of about 30 to 40 meters and a long (sub vertical) axis of some 60 meters. The length of the body intersected with the previous holes is about 120 meters. The previous work did not recognize the geometry and plunge. Therefore, the deposit is open down-plunge to the north below the 80-meter level and poorly delineated on surface to the south, particularly in the vicinity of the open pit.

    The drilling in the high-grade zone has intercepted wide encouraging intersections over varying widths. Additional drilling is required to further test the extent of high-grade mineralization.


    Potential


    The Tainiovaara deposit has a high potential for the discovery of additional low-grade reserves amenable to open pit mining and high grade ore at depth and near surface. In addition, several magnetic features in the area are being evaluated as potential targets.

    Finde die Kombination aus den Projekten und dem Management interessant. Das Tainnivara Projekt kann man mit wenig Aufwand in Produktion bringen (open pit). Die Nickelgehalte sind recht hoch, so dass man sehr profitabel abbauen kann. Abbaukosten sollten bei 60 bis 80 Dollar pro Tonne liegen, wobei der Nickelgehalt ohne die anderen Metalle etwa 400 -500 Dollar wert ist. Das Projekt ist kleiner als das Rautavaara Projekt aber um einiges profitabler.


    Das Rautavaara Projekt ist mit dem Talvivvara vergleichbar, das eine Menge Aufmerksamkeit von den Institutionellen bekommen hat. Sicherlich wegen der hohen Tonnage, sollte aber riskanter sein es in Produktion zu bringen denke ich. Es hat nur 0,27 % Nickel. Ist aber riesig.


    Mal schauen welches Projekt zuerst weiterentwickelt wird, oder ob einer der Big Player sich eines der Projekte schnappt.

    Yukon Resources Corp. (the "Company") (OTCBB: YUKR)(FWB: YE5) is pleased to announce that an Annual Meeting of its Stockholders was held in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, on December 22, 2006.


    A quorum, consisting of a majority of the Company's outstanding shares of common stock as of the record date of November 20, 2006, was present in person or by proxy at the meeting.


    At the meeting, holders of a majority of the Company's outstanding shares of common stock on the record date voted in favor of changing the Company's name to "Uranium Star Corp." Further to the approval granted by the stockholders, a Certificate of Amendment effecting the name change was filed with and accepted by the Nevada Secretary of State on December 22, 2006. Therefore, effective December 22, 2006, the Company's name is "Uranium Star Corp."


    Also further to the change of the Company's name, the Company has notified Nasdaq of the amendment. The Company has been notified by Nasdaq that beginning January 3, 2007, the Company's trading symbol on the OTC Bulletin Board will be "URST".


    In addition to this change to the Company's name, a number of other matters were submitted to the Company's stockholders for their approval. The Company is pleased to announce the following voting results:

    Further to the approved increase to Company's authorized capital, a Certificate of Change effecting the increase was filed with and accepted by the Nevada Secretary of State on December 22, 2006. Therefore, effective December 22, 2006, the Company's authorized capital consists of 125,000,000 shares of common stock.


    No action has yet been taken with respect to the approval granted for the Company to re-incorporate under the laws of Minnesota.

    wenn ich das richtig verstanden habe, müssen die dieses Jahr in Produktion gehen , um das Projekt nicht zu verlieren. Ist wohl auch gut so. Mit ein wenig Druck sollten die es auch schaffen. Steht ja schon alles da und wartet auf den Beginn der Produktion. Metanor hat ja alle Verarbeitungsanlagen , so das wir 2007 die ersten Unzen sehen sollten.
