International Millennium Mining Corp.: MMI Surveys Identify Strong Silver-Copper Anomalies on Cobalt Area Property Ontario
Thursday January 10, 9:00 am ET

NORTH VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Jan. 10, 2008 ) - MMI (mobile metal ion) soil sample surveys on International Millennium Mining Corp.'s ("IMMC" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:IMI - News) Cobalt Area Property near Cobalt, Ontario have been completed over three (3) grid areas. The MMI work was carried out after positive results were obtained over known mineralization from an MMI orientation survey carried out in 2006. David G. Mark, P.Geo., a qualified person under NI 43-101, reports that the MMI results outlined a number of strong anomalies which are interpreted as being indicative of Cobalt-area style silver/copper/cobalt-veins. As a result, further detailed sampling was carried out in order to optimize drill targets. These results are now being compiled and will be released in a follow-up report at a later date. The Company will announce a drill program at that time.

The Cobalt Area property comprises some 620 claim units covering approximately 9,920 hectares located in Temiskaming District, Larder Lake Mining Division south of the town of Cobalt in north eastern Ontario. IMMC holds 100% interest in 322 claim units, subject to 1% NSR royalty and holds an option to earn 100% interest in the remainder of the ground, subject to a 40% net profits royalty interest reducible, upon payment of $4.5mil., to a 10% net profits royalty interest.

Past production in the Cobalt area was mostly from arsenide silver/cobalt mineralization from narrow, but very rich veins. It has amounted to more than 500 million ounces of silver and 50 million pounds of cobalt along with millions of pounds of copper, nickel and lead. Two of the former producing mines are located on the IMMC property.

The rocks that underlie the Cobalt Project area include Archean aged mafic to felsic metavolcanics and Algoman granitic rocks overlain by relatively flat lying Huronian Group metasediments. A Nipissing age diabase dyke and sill complex intrudes all of these rock types. Lamprophyre dykes and mafic to ultramafic diatremes intrude the volcanic and granitic rocks.

International Millennium Mining Corp. is a mineral exploration and development company engaged in the acquisition and exploration of mineral properties in Canada and the Americas. To date, the Company has acquired and is exploring mineral properties in British Columbia and Ontario, Canada; Nevada, USA; and Sonora State, Mexico. Emerging mineral targets include silver, gold, cobalt, molybdenum, zinc, lead, nickel, copper and platinum group metals.

    ON BEHALF OF THE BOARD,

EXMIN Exploration and Production: Success in 2007, Outlook for 2008
Wednesday January 9, 2:20 pm ET

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(MARKET WIRE)--Jan 9, 2008 -- EXMIN Resources Inc. (EXMIN) (CDNX:EXM.V - News) is pleased to provide the following overview of exploration and production progress in 2007, along with an outlook for 2008.

EXMIN's primary objective is to advance its low-cost projects with efficient work programs to explore for mineral resources and elevate the confidence level in known mineralization present. As the confidence in the potential resource increases, EXMIN seeks to maximize opportunities to advance its projects through strategic alliance, joint venture, option or sale. EXMIN continues to aggressively explore its projects to the limit of its available capital resources.

    Diversified Project Portfolio

EXMIN has acquired a diversified project portfolio that includes 30% of a 3,000 ton per day gold and silver mine, several advanced projects with drill-ready targets, including three with potential to define metal resources in the near term, and numerous early-stage, district-scale land packages in historic mineral producing regions of northern Mexico. Notably, the company was able to accomplish this at a relatively low cost through staking of large prospective areas and negotiating option agreements with low front end payments where necessary to acquire specific targets. At December 31, 2007, EXMIN's total project portfolio, included over twenty individual projects, covering nearly 600,000 hectares (1.48 million acres).

Since its inception in 2004, EXMIN has focused on funding continuing field work at the Company's projects to generate, develop and define drill targets. EXMIN has identified and advanced numerous deposits over the last four years, and, in 2007, this work culminated in the definition of several high confidence drill targets on deposits that company geologists feel have the potential to become qualified resources under NI 43-101 standards. These targets now qualify for, and require, significant drilling expenditures to prove and expand the potential resources. Some of EXMIN's plans for exploration in 2008 are outlined below.

Projects With Near-Term Potential To Define Resources

    Reyna de Oro

Reyna de Oro was EXMIN's first project, where it has drilled 2,200 metres with excellent results (see EXMIN News Release of May 18 and August 30, 2005). A small drill program, planned for 2008, is necessary to be able to define a gold resource at the Reyna de Oro mine. Also, several other high quality exploration targets have yet to be fully explored or drilled, including Balojaque, where sampling has yielded up to 105.5 g/t gold over 0.5 metres (see EXMIN News Release of September 6, 2006).

    Horcon

Drilling and sampling by EXMIN (see EXMIN News Release of August 16, 2007) and by a previous operator in the vicinity of the Horcon mine indicate that a potential resource could be developed on the Diamantillo vein as well as several other veins in the area, where sampling has yielded average values of 1.5 to 17.9 g/t gold, 20-134 g/t silver, 0.1 to 0.3 % copper, 0.8 to 6.0 % lead, and 0.8 to 6.2 % zinc over average widths of 0.41 to 1.87 metres. A drill program to define a NI 43-101 qualified resource at the property is planned for 2008. Several other target areas in the large land package at Horcon are less advanced but have similar geologic characteristics.

    Melchor Ocampo

In 2007, EXMIN acquired two drill targets at Melchor Ocampo, located 20 kilometres from the large Penasquito mine currently under development by Goldcorp. At the first target, Las Coloradas, past drill data from within and near concessions recently acquired by EXMIN indicate the potential for a large tonnage silver-lead-zinc resource (see EXMIN News Release of November 26, 2007). EXMIN geologists believe that drilling of about 1,500 metres of core will qualify a resource to NI 43-101 standards, and this program is also planned for 2008. The second target, near El Trebol, was acquired by staking as a joint venture with AmMex Gold Mining (30% EXMIN and 70% AmMex, see EXMIN News Release of November 29, 2007). A magnetic anomaly from government data and geochemical data from a past operator provide an immediate drill target, and approximately 2,000 metres of RC drilling will be funded by AmMex in early 2008.

Projects Advanced To The Drill-Ready Stage In 2007

    Oribo

At the Oribo project, Manhattan Minerals previously delineated a 3 kilometre long gold in soil anomaly along the contact zone of an intrusive rock with a limestone. Several areas of high grade gold in rock samples occur within this area, and a preliminary drill program cut several zones with interesting gold values. EXMIN has confirmed the gold values in rock samples and has partly completed a geologic evaluation and plans to conduct a 2,000 metre drill program to test several targets.

    La Guitarra

At La Guitarra, a structural zone with high grade gold mineralization hosted by stockwork quartz veining has been defined within a 52 hectare claim block. The prospect has been explored by several companies in the past, but the main structure that contains the high grade gold values has only been partially explored and remains open along strike and at depth (see EXMIN News Release of November 7, 2006). EXMIN has planned a 1,000 metre preliminary drill program to test the structure.

    Pino

Acquired in early 2007, the Pino project consists of a large vein with silver-lead-zinc values in a prolific silver belt containing the Guanecevi, Tahuehueto and Topia districts being explored by other juniors (see EXMIN News Release of July 24, 2007) Exploration work completed by EXMIN has defined a drill target on the vein along strike and below an area that was mined in the past, and a 1500 metre drill program is planned to test the target.

Projects To Be Advanced By Surface Exploration In 2008

    Batopilas

The Batopilas land package surrounds the Batopilas silver camp and covers parts of at least four separate mineralized areas with several exploration targets (see EXMIN News Release of October 6, 2006). First pass reconnaissance, mapping and surface sampling has been advanced at La Verde and Satevo, with similar work planned at Corralitos and Cerro Colorado in 2008.

    Cascurrichi

A 100 hectare concession acquired in 2007 during a lottery with Penoles and Chesapeake Gold. A structure several kilometres in length returned gold values of as much as 6 metres of 5.8 g/t gold (see EXMIN News Release of May 24, 2007). EXMIN plans to complete surface exploration in 2008.

    San Patricio

San Patricio is part of a large land package in a developing precious metal district. A large mineralized area, measuring 100 by 150 metres, surrounds a small mine, all on EXMIN ground, that yielded high grades in preliminary sampling. One sample assayed 9.4 g/t gold, 3,636 g/t silver, 9.2 % copper, and more than 20% lead over a sample width of 3.5 metres (see EXMIN News Release of December 11, 2007). EXMIN plans to complete the surface exploration and define drill targets in 2008.

    Arechuyvo

A large land package south of Moris, contains multiple mineralized areas and at least ten discrete targets for follow up work planned for 2008.

    Financing Capital Requirements

Generation of capital used to advance and maintain EXMIN's project portfolio generally requires the sale and issuance of new common shares of the Company. Share placements are dilutive to existing shareholders and EXMIN management has secured intimate financings with its joint venture partners, to avoid broker commissions and warrants, as a low-cost means to finance its capital requirements in 2007. About 70% of EXMIN's capital required to purchase and rehabilitate its 30% of the Moris mine was provided through such placements.

    Moris Mine

EXMIN's objectives for purchasing the Moris Mine were numerous and include:

    1. Reduce long term capital funding requirements through realized positive cash flow from the mine production,

    2. Enhance exploration joint venture relationship with Hochschild Mining, Plc. (Hochschild),

    3. Gain leverage to higher gold and silver prices through production,

    4. Capitalize on low cost entry to fast track production, utilizing Hochschild's production experience and financial strength.

The Moris Mine was purchased in late December, 2006, and in just eight months mining and crushing reached full scale operation of approximately 3,000 tons per day, and within ten months the recovery circuit produced the first bar of gold-silver dore. Total production for 2007 was 5,680 oz gold and 13,000 oz silver. With the mine in full production, streamlining of the production process along with a cost reduction program has been initiated. Production for 2008 is estimated at 25,000 oz gold and 60,000 oz silver, and EXMIN is now poised to take advantage of the current high metals prices.

    Existing Joint Venture Model

The joint venture model has worked well for EXMIN. All three previously existing exploration joint venture agreements were renewed, by Hochschild, at Moris, Industrias Penoles, at Maguarichic and Yale Resources Ltd., at Urique. These partners have spent more than US$ 3 million combined in advancing EXMIN's projects, and to date have drilled about 12,000 metres while earning interests in projects in which EXMIN initially acquired a 100% interest, mainly by staking. EXMIN continues to seek additional joint venture opportunities, and in 2007 signed agreements with Canarc Resource Corp., at Batopilas (see EXMIN News Release of September 20, 2007), and AmMex Gold Mining, at Melchor Ocampo (see EXMIN News Release of November 29, 2007).

    Moris

Drilling has advanced significantly since Feb. 2007, with preliminary drilling initiated at three separate target areas. To date, a total of approximately 3,500 metres of core drilling has been completed. Assay results indicate that a large gold mineralized structural zone is present at the Tecolote target (see EXMIN News Release of July 11, 2007); other results are pending.

    Maguarichic

Penoles began a Phase II drill program in late 2007 to test several vein targets in an area of multiple old mines, as well as part of an area of strong alteration that may host hidden bonanza mineralization. The drill program is still in progress, and it is anticipated that drilling will resume shortly after having shut down for the holiday break. Assay results are pending.

    Urique

Exploration work has advanced in three target areas, Cerro Colorado, San Pedro, and the Urique district. A first pass drill program for these target areas is planned to commence in the first quarter, 2008.

    Investor Relations And Market Development

EXMIN has applied the greatest amount of its available capital possible to conduct the field work that advances its projects. To this end, the Company has not devoted significant resources to outside promotional activities. Instead, EXMIN enhanced its Investor Relations department in 2007 to properly disseminate the full EXMIN picture to the markets. As the Company grows, it plans to finance a comprehensive market development program to advance EXMIN's market position based on its credible and impressive short history and asset portfolio. During late 2007, the Company engaged San Diego Torrey Hills Capital to advance the current pace of market development.

    Quality Assurance

All samples taken by EXMIN generally consisted of one to three kg of material, and were prepared and analyzed by ALS Chemex and BSI Inspectorate in their facilities in Mexico and Vancouver or Reno, respectively. Gold analyses were performed by 30 gram fire assay with an AA finish; samples with more than 10 g/t gold are reanalyzed by gravimetric methods. Silver and the base metals were analyzed as part of a multi-element ICP package using an aqua regia digestion; samples with more than 100 g/t silver or more than 1% base metals were analyzed by AA.

Assay data for samples not taken by EXMIN were obtained as parts of data packages at various projects and are believed to be reliable.

    Baby bulls haben Vorbericht gesandt.

    EXMIN Resources Inc. – January 8, 2008

EXMIN Resources, Inc. (EXM:TSX-V) Hochschild Mining Releases Production Numbers for Q4 at Moris Mine – Gold Pushes Towards $900, Up $19 on the day at $879/oz.

Hochschild Mining PLC, EXMIN Resources’ JV partner at the jointly owned Moris Mine in Mexico (Hochschild 70% - EXMIN – 30%) announced production results today for Q4 of 2007. Total production for the quarter was 5,180 oz gold and 11,000 oz of silver. Total ore production was 253,766 tonnes, which was on target based on their previously announced production throughput estimate of 3,000 tonnes per day.

The Moris Mine is located approximately 15 km due west of Ocampo and 55 km south of Mulatos and is a 3,000 ton per day heap leach operation that employs approximately 200 people on a continuing basis, many of which are from the local community. We have included an excerpt of today’s Hochschild release below which summarizes the gold/silver production for this first full quarter of production at the mine.

    MORIS

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Product Q4 Q3 Full year

    2007 2007 2007

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Ore produciton (tonnes) 253,766 84,538 338,304

    Average head grade silver (g/t) 4.62 4.90 4.70

    Average head grade gold (g/t) 1.62 1.80 1.65

    Silver produced (Koz) 11 1 13

    Gold produced (Koz) 5.18 0.50 5.68

    Silver sold (Koz) 8 0 8

    Gold sold (Koz) 3.92 0.00 3.92

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Metals production is anticipated to ramp up as the operation matures and leaching recoveries increase. The mine is projected to produce 25,000 ounces of gold and 60,000 ounces of silver in 2008. With today’s release it looks as if they are close to being on track to make the projected numbers which will provide EXMIN with an excellent free cash flow revenue stream for years to come (approx. $6 million per year less mining costs assuming $800 base spot price on gold). This number could go much higher with the price of gold moving up as well as the fact that Hochschild is currently conducting an aggressive exploration work plan on the 73,400 hectares owned by EXMIN in the mining district surrounding the Moris Mine which could uncover further gold/silver resources and potentially higher grade ore than is currently being milled. Today’s release included comments from Eduardo Hochschild, Executive Director at Hochschild, that have a positive outlook on the Moris Mine production:

“Attributable gold production for 2008 is projected to decrease from
2007 levels as we mine anticipated lower grades at Ares (from 14.6 g/t to 6.4 g/
    t) and Selene (from 2.0 g/t to 1.6 g/t). This decrease will be partially offset
by higher production at Pallancata, San Jose and Moris.”

Below is a picture from the Moris Mine showing several of the many leach pads that are currently being utilized for production.

We are anticipating a mirroring release from EXMIN in the next day or two reporting on the Moris production numbers but wanted to get our members up to speed quickly on this material development. Now that production is up to speed at Moris, EXMIN is looking to further develop exploration activities on a number of their other 22 projects representing approximately 1.5 million acres. With the price of gold now on the move north with many of the prognosticators pointing at $1,000 gold by the middle of the year if not sooner, EXMIN, with arguably the largest land package of high impact precious metals properties in Mexico held by a junior, and numerous properties in exploration drilling phase with major mining concern partners like Hochschild and Penoles, EXMIN looks to be in a VERY strong position at this time. As EXMIN’s stock price is down around $0.35 with the recent slide in pricing which has affected the entire junior mining sector, we see an excellent leverage opportunity here for folks that see continued strength in the upside for precious metals as EXMIN continues to develop and monetize its large portfolio of mining targets.

Anaconda Mining Company was the previous owner of the Cinco Minas property. Between 1922 and 1928 it mined a reported 1,083,000 tonnes of ore averaging 3.17 g/t gold and 476 g/t silver. This equates to 97,364 oz. of gold (2,760 kilograms) and 15,095,915 oz. of silver (427,954 kilograms). It should be noted at the outset that current resource estimates far exceed the total amount reported removed from the mine. The Cinco Minas and Gran Cabrera
properties both host epithermal systems with adularia-sericite type quartz veins with goldsilver mineralization. The main zone system at Cinco Minas has an identified strike length of approximately 5 kilometres with additional parallel to sub-parallel veins. Past mining has produced several bonanza grade veins with high gold credits. These types of structures have also been reported in the recent exploration drilling at Cinco Minas.

VMS Ventures Inc. to Commence Large VTEM Airborne Survey Over Snow Lake VMS Belt Properties, and Nickel Properties in Manitoba
Thursday January 3, 3:26 pm ET

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Jan. 3, 2008) - VMS Ventures Inc. (TSX VENTURE:VMS - News; the "Company") is pleased to announce that it has contracted Geotech Ltd. of Aurora, Ontario to use its high definition, deep penetrating airborne geophysical VTEM technology to fly a large survey over several of its exploration properties in Manitoba. The survey will focus on copper-zinc prospective properties in the Snow Lake area as well as various nickel sulphide prospective properties elsewhere in Manitoba. This will be a relatively large program. The total flight lines planned exceed 18,500 line kilometers. The program budget is more than $2 million dollars and flying is expected to begin in the next week.

The copper-zinc-gold-silver discovery at the Company's Reed Lake property announced in October, 2007 was made while drill testing anomalies generated from VTEM geophysical data. The geophysical Magnetic and EM data collected by this new survey, once interpreted, will provide anomalies which allow geologists to focus their exploration efforts on specific sites within large properties with the goal of generating prospective drill targets.

The VTEM (Versatile Time-Domain Electromagnetic) survey is the leading airborne geophysical system in use today. This 2008 survey will cover a large portion of the Company's land holdings in the Snow Lake area which was not covered in the initial spring 2007 survey. The areas VMS have chosen to fly have evidence of sulphide mineralization from surface exposures, drill intercepts or other key geological features such as alteration minerals, associated with these types of deposits.

The VTEM survey has documented capabilities to detect highly conductive rock bodies such as massive sulphide deposits to greater depths than the previous generation of airborne systems. This is particularly useful for the discovery of buried or hidden massive sulphide deposits in the Snow Lake Mining Camp. This technology enables a more effective means to explore the southern portion of the VMS Snow Lake Belt land holdings, where Paleozoic aged limestone sediments cover the prospective greenstone rocks.

All technical information in this release has been reviewed by Dr. George Gale, P.Eng, the Qualified Person, Vice President of Exploration and director of VMS Ventures Inc.

    About VTEM

The VTEM system employs a large, somewhat tent-shaped array that hangs from the underside of the helicopter, with a large outer loop at the bottom end. A current is sent through this outer loop, which energizes the ground, creating a secondary return EM field that is measured by the smaller, inner receiving loop and recorded digitally for analysis.

VMS Ventures Inc. is focused primarily on acquiring, exploring and developing copper-zinc properties in the Flin Flon-Snow Lake VMS Belt. The Company also holds the largest land package considered prospective for nickel-copper mineralization at Lynn Lake, which is to date Canada's third largest nickel producing camp. The Company's project portfolio consists of the Snow Lake VMS project, the Lynn Lake Gabbros nickel-copper project, the Nickel Belt project, the South Bay nickel-copper-cobalt PGE property, and the Eden Lake Carbonatite Complex, Specialty Metals property. All VMS Ventures Inc. properties are located in the mining friendly province of Manitoba, Canada.

International Millennium Mining Corp.: Jason Property Phase I Exploration Identifies Source of Platinum Anomaly Near Harrison Lake B.C.
Thursday January 3, 9:00 am ET
Additional Ground Acquired in Nevada and Mexico

NORTH VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Jan. 3, 2008) - Phase I exploration work at International Millennium Mining Corp.'s ("IMMC" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:IMI - News) Jason Property near Harrison Lake, B.C. has identified the source of highly anomalous platinum (Pt) stream sediment samples (up to 651 ppb) collected on Anomaly Creek in 2004. The outcrop source was located following completion of Phase I detailed stream sediment sampling and mapping to confirm the location of the highly anomalous 2004 Anomaly Creek stream sediments. The outcrop contains: pyrrhotite, pentlandite, chalcopyrite and sperrylite. Analysis of a bulk stream sediment sample identified sperrylite. Native gold and abundant red rutile were also identified in the bulk stream sediment sample. Petrographic analysis identified the sulphide bearing rock as an altered olivine orthopyroxenite.

David G. Mark, P.Geo., a qualified person under NI 43-101, provides the following information with respect to the property: Grab samples from the outcrop contained up to 0.64% Ni, 0.63% Cu, 777 ppb Pt and 465 ppb Pd (Acme Analytical). These values are comparable to ore grades at the nearby Giant Mascot Mine. In addition, the magmatic sulphides and the orthopyroxenite appear to have been injected along a well defined fault zone. In 1971 W.E. Clarke postulated that, at the Giant Mascot Mine, fault systems were favourable to the deposition of ore. As a result of these findings a drill target has been proposed by IMMC for Anomaly Creek.

Phase 2 included: 1) line cutting to establish a sampling and mapping grid; 2) overburden sampling and geochemical analysis (standard ICP and mobile metal ion); and 3) geophysical surveys (magnetometer, self potential, VLF-EM). The report and results from Phase 2 are not yet available.

The Jason claims, comprise 694.9 hectares and are located 29 km southeast of the municipality of Harrison Hot Springs approximately 9 km east of Harrison Lake, British Columbia. IMMC holds an option to earn 100% interest in the claims, subject to certain royalty interests retained by the vendor D.R. Haughton P.Eng., Ph.D. The property lies at the northwest end of a belt of meta-volcanic, meta-sedimentary and plutonic basic and ultrabasic rocks. The belt extends in a northwest direction from the Giant Mascot Mine for 20 kilometers to beyond the Jason claims. Commodities found at the Giant Mascot Mine and within the middle Cretaceous mafic to ultramafic rock units, include nickel, copper, chromium, cobalt, gold and platinum group elements.

Prior to 2005, work on the Jason claims had included surficial and bedrock mapping and geochemical and geophysical surveys. This resulted in the definition of four projects with significant potential for Ni, Cu, PGE mineralization. Two of the projects, within the Jason Property, Discovery Creek and Hut Creek, now have well defined drill targets. At Anomaly Creek high Ni, Cu, Cr, Au and Pt, Pd (i.e.: 0.12% Ni, 0.12% Cu, 651ppb Pt) stream sediment anomalies require additional exploration.

Hut Creek East contained geophysical anomalies (self potential, magnetic and VLF-EM) that also require follow-up work. Because of thick overburden deposits on Hut Creek East, it was recommended that follow up work should await drill results from the Hut Creek area.

Additional Ground Acquired in Nevada and Mexico

The Company has added 141 lode claims to its land position surrounding its Simon Mine property in Mineral County, Nevada. The additional claims are contiguous with the all of the boundaries of the Simon Mine property.

In Mexico, IMMC has, subject to filing with regulatory authorities, entered into an option to purchase 100% interest in an additional property comprised of 1095 hectares contiguous with the northern and eastern edges of the Company's Hilda 30 property in Yecora District, of Sonora State, Mexico. Cash payments totaling US$1,050,000 over a 10 year period are the sole consideration for the purchase. The property is located within the area of interest defined in IMMC's option and joint venture with First Mexican Resources Inc. of Toronto, Ontario, who have been offered inclusion of the ground as part of the joint venture property.

International Millennium Mining Corp. is a mineral exploration and development company engaged in the acquisition and exploration of mineral properties in Canada and the Americas. To date the Company has acquired and is exploring mineral properties in British Columbia and Ontario, Canada; Nevada, USA; and Sonora State, Mexico. Emerging mineral targets include silver, gold, cobalt, molybdenum, zinc, lead, nickel, copper and platinum group metals.

    Value,
schönes depot, hast die auch real?
Werd mal in deinen Depotthread ins fragen kommen.... :D

    Leider sehr kleine Posi.

KMN in SNN zu tauschen wär vom Timing bestens gewesen.
    Hab aber nichts getan.

    Milly,

This year has been a difficult one for investors in the PM sector, and that makes it difficult to narrow down a list of just 5 companies, from all of the great juniors that are currently priced in what I believe is rock-bottom bargain basement territory. Before I discuss my list, allow me to outline how I select these companies, and the underlying assumptions that form the basis for my outlook.

I have an extremely high risk tolerance and do not feel much in the way of anxiety when the markets go through prolonged corrective episodes. While these top lists are presented on a yearly basis, in most cases the companies that I buy I will hold for many years, and the development cycle may extend well beyond even that. As investors, we can do all the homework to review the information on the public record, but we cannot pretend to know the future.

The mining sector is a tiny one, and the performance of these companies is as much dependant on investor sentiment as it is on the fundamentals for each company. If investors avoid the sector, then it is likely that even the top performing companies will disappoint. The sector is also notorious for violent swings in sentiment, and what is shunned on one day could be the next hot stock a month later. So rather than just track the market price of a stock, one must track the progress of an individual company up the value curve, to determine if that company has been successful. Many times one can find a stock that is an exceptional story yet the stock price is mired in the lows for the year. That is what I look to for when I am researching. Value is ultimately recognized and priced into a stock, but sometimes you have to wait it out.

Just about any junior is capable of delivering gains of several hundred percent over a short time frame. But I am not interested in gambling. I want a company that will have solid projects underway, ample funding at hand, and reliable management to direct development. I focus on late stage development plays and growing producers, even though the market may not be particularly excited with these companies at the current time. The payoff is in security of my investment and the knowledge that they will be the top stories as the cycle matures, and I still can expect a strong performance while I wait.

I am invested in the mining sector because I am bullish on the long term outlook for the metals. There is no reason to own gold or silver stocks if you believe that the metals have peaked. Mining is a miserable business and most companies lose money most of the time. Setbacks and delays are the norm. Investor sentiment is unpredictable and analysts are skittish. So the only reason to be positioned is to catch that time when the fundamentals line up and the metals are on a roll.

In 2007 we enjoyed gains in gold and silver prices, yet most of the juniors with leverage to these metals lost value. As investors positioned to catch the bull market, we were right in our sector assumptions, but wrong on our timing. This same set of circumstances could continue into 2008 but I remain bullish. I believe both gold and silver will set new all-time highs, along with oil, copper, and many other commodities. As the commodities continue to appreciate, at some point the stocks will catch up. I also look for consolidation within the mining sector, and hostile takeovers may ignite more speculative participation from investors. In short, I am not discouraged by the crappy performance from 2007.

A final comment: my choices have been determined on my own selection process to suit my personal outlook and risk tolerance. There are many great companies and I own about 45 stocks in my portfolio. I may have omitted some stocks that others may feel should be included. I may have chosen some companies that do not fit within the parameters for everyone that reads this list. And some of the companies I have chosen are also paid advertisers on Smartinvestment.ca and therefore I cannot be considered unbiased. I do not look to present investment advice and my opinions as expressed here are just that: opinions. It is the responsibility of each investor to do their own due diligence and ensure that the stocks they buy conform to their own particular objectives.

    These are my picks:

    1) Silverstone Resources (V.SST) $2.70
The same management team from Capstone Mining is running SST, and this group has proven itself to be able to deliver shareholder value and carry a project from the concept stage to production. SST is my top choice because it is the only company in the sector that is fully leveraged to silver through purchased streams of silver production from other mines AND from a suite of development prospects in controls in 4 past producing silver mines in Mexico. The company has issued guidance for more than 2 million ounces of silver sales in 2008, with an average cost of $4/ounce. They are active to secure additional production streams, and are aggressively exploring at least 2 prospects, so the leverage should continue to grow during the year. The closest peer company is Silver Wheaton, with a market cap approaching $4 billion. SST has a market cap of less than 10% of SLW, so there is plenty of room for the market to bid the share price higher.

    2) Gold Canyon Resources (V.GCU) $.63
The most notable fact about GCU is that the company has been active for more than 20 years, surviving the worst bear market in the history of mining, and yet it remains tightly held and has never undergone a share rollback. This is exceptional in an era where management is often more interested in their own options and inflated expense accounts than in delivering value for the shareholders. GCU management are absolutely among the best for an exploration company in their ability to advance projects, achieve success at the end of the drill bit, and control expenses while limiting the issuance of share capital to fund all activity. GCU is leveraged to gold, rare earths and gallium, uranium, nickle, PGMs, and silver. They have published compliant resources at two projects and each is subject to growth in subsequent updates, yet neither is adequately valued in the current market cap for the company. The main reason why GCU appears on my list for the second year in a row is because I expect that we will enjoy a parabolic rare earths market sometime in the near future, and this mania should elevate all of the top juniors in that sub-sector to extreme valuations. So I expect GCU will continue to deliver strong gains through 2008, and there is the added potential for a 10-bagger thrown in that could happen this year.

    3) Shoreham Resources (V.SMH) $.31
Shoreham is the most speculative junior on my list, as it has limited NI43-101 compliant data on hand from any of its projects and therefore the company cannot issue resource estimates. However, on three separate properties there are historical results that were completed by reputable former operators which suggest several large deposits are controlled by the company, and relatively low-risk confirmation work could allow for the completion of compliant reports. The Setting Net Lake molybdenum project alone could represent more than 100 million tonnes of ore grading 0.09% molybdenite, the largest undeveloped moly deposit in Eastern Canada. There is also leverage to the rare metal rhenium, which alone could boost the economic parameters to fast track development. The company has planned a drill program to prove up the historic resources so SMH should be on the radar screen for many investors in 2008 and the share price is at the extreme low end with a market cap of just $12 million. Gold and uranium targets on other projects could also yield compliant resources with the completion of low-risk exploration work. Any of the three front-burner prospects could achieve an asset valuation of more than $1 billion, therefore one could expect significant upside in the share price if the company is successful with the drill bit.

    4) San Anton Resources (T.SNN) $.77
San Anton gains the distinction of controlling the largest deposit in Mexico that no one cares about. Now there are many large undeveloped deposits in Mexico, but SNN's Cerro de Gallo is distinct becasue despite the impressive 10 million ounces gold equivalent resource already achieved, the company has still only tested a fraction of the defined targets, and it remains open in all directions. So there is plenty of upside yet to come at the end of the drill bit. And the economic parameters are extremely favourable to support a production decision. Some analysts have expressed concern that the average grades are low. I reiterate my opinion that the metals prices have far higher yet to climb, and therefore the deposit will likely become more attractive on the basis of projected economics. As an acquisition target, it will also become more attractive as the total resource grows, since with one swoop a major producer can replace several years of production. I expect SNN to continue to add resources through exploration success in 2008, and also there is the potential for higher grade numbers as epithermal vein targets are drilled. SNN will be acquired through a takeover deal sometime in the future, and the stock is priced in the extreme discount range now so I expect attractive gains in the months ahead.

    5) Aurcana Corporation (V.AUN) $.72
AUN represents a lower risk option to participate in the mining sector, because it has already achieved production, has built-in growth planned in 2008, and it is well funded plus is generating recurring cash flow from operations. In many respects it can be considered a 'mini Capstone', which is the highest compliment I can pay to a junior. The company is running efficient operations from the flagship La Negra Mine, and reported its first ever net profit in Q3 2007. Efforts are underway to expand production to roughly double the current level, and therefore profits should rise as additional efficiencies are realized from increasing capacity. Development work is also underway at a second mine, La Rosario, which could commence production in 2009. The share structure is reasonable, and most of the outstanding warrants are priced far above the current share price. AUN is a solid junior producer and represents a great vehicle to ride a surge in metals prices for copper, silver, or zinc, yet the stock is in the bargain basement and could easily double in price during 2008. I have only recently begun buying shares and it represents one of my smallest holdings but I will continue to add to my position through the year.

Postscipt: I remain bullish on most of my past picks, and many are now priced at levels that I consider even more attractive than when I originaly included them in my list. However, I have refrained from including these companies this year, since my original reasons to buy them are still valid, and I wanted to outline new prospects. I have also avoided discussing the more speculative juniors that could provide explosive upside, but since they are entirely dependant on exploration results that are unknown, it is a guessing game on what they may achieve and therefore they are not suited for this exercise. I want to focus on companies that may have an unknown outcome for exploration, but at least there is evidence that success is a reasonable outcome.

Noch ein Beitrag aus stockhouse zu VIT:

    User Touareg, irgendwann im Dez.

I have been struck today by the lack of knowledge and understanding displayed by the posters here today so i decided to cut and paste some of Bemabeamers old posts and put together something to help newbies to get an overview of what Victoria Resources is all about. Unfortunately my computer has been playing up and after doing some searching and cutting and pasting the darn page froze on me and i lost it all.. maybe Bema doesnt want me to post any of his old stuff.. though i cant imagine that is true because over the years he posted an amazing wealth of info which should be shared.. So go back through the posts on this board and read his posts.. The guy is/was an absolute mine of information.. worth doing I assure you..
Anyway I'll try and put into a nutshell the very unique story behind VIT as i understand it.. I would welcome any corrections if i get stuff wrong and any additions too please.. FWIW I have followed this VIT for about 4 years and there is no doubt whatsoever in my mind that the company will be a winner over the next few years. What is really exciting is that finally it is all starting to come together..

What makes VIT a special case is that they have a collection of Geologists who are Nevada specialists who have been working on this area and its potential for many many years. This has been going on with NO PR at all.. no publicity.. no hype.. none of the usual PR that goes with these kind of juniors. So what we have here is some very very experienced experts in their field who have been diligently working away behind the scenes for a many many years AND accumulating properties that they consider to be the most likely to contain mother-loads of gold. Now Im not going to write everything here.. Go to the website and check out all the properties.. EVERY ONE of these properties is a potential HUGE gold deposit.. now its easy to make a statement like that and it could be meaningless but here i ask you to do some DD yourself because there is much VERY interesting information about every one of these properties and many genuine reasons for believing that these guys have been very very selective and particular in adding these properties to there collection. Please go to 'properties' and read "properties were chosen because".

Phase one of drilling at Cove Mccoy suggested that there was a monster somewhere down there and though it looked like it was quite deep it sure had the makings of something worth going deep for. Then comes phase two and bingo not only is it looking like a mother-load but it turns out that it may be relatively easy to mine because of the location of the old pit. Things are now looking extremely interesting for Cove! they are also drilling at Black Canyon where literaly HUGE grab samples were found: check the website.

What is really exciting now and is a big change for VIT is new management which means now a whole PR machine is beginning to take shape. So much work has been done over the years behind the scenes and VIT has been crying out for management and promotion etc.. Now it is happening.

I believe that this latest Bonanza drill result heralds a whole new era for Victoria Resources.. All the ducks are now lined up.. it has taken years of work to get to this present situation.. when I read the release this morning I said to myself "this is it.. this is the one weve been waiting for!" maybe i sound like Im getting a little carried away but actually if you compare this hole with ARU results it really is in the same class.. it is actually better than many of their holes and the fact that it is in Nevada is MAJOR! If ARU had been in Nevada it would have gone to $100.. Im not dreaming.. Im not smoking funny stuff.. it takes a little time for something like this to sink in and for people to realise the significance of this discovery. The market cap is very low right now.. i dont know how long it will take to correct upwards but i do know that it will.. so anyone who wants to be involved should start accumulating over the next few days IMO.

Ok Im going to bed now.. you can call me a pumper if you like I dont give a monkeys.. I decided someone had to write this tonight so there it is.. I wish Bemabeamer would come back and tell it like no one else can but oh well.. if you are reading this Bema cheers mate! I always knew you were right!.. nice to see good 'ol Thomas34 is still here too..
Good luck folks and even if it goes down to 1.10 tomorrow my advice FWIW is hang on to yr shares and by January you'll be laughing!
And remember dont listen to all the idiotic bashers that try to put doubt into your mind.. This is the real thing! Absolutely no doubt about it!

    Grüße
    tschonko

    Hallo Lord,
Lucky hat eh schon das meiste gesagt.

Hier ein ältere über eine Bank.
    http://www.safehaven.com/article-3566.htm

Mir wird manchmal von hier was mitgenommen.
    http://www.cmm.gob.mx/flash/productos.html

Die 5 oz gefallen mir auch.
    Bei kreditkartenkauf nehmen sie 2,5%.
Gibt auch schone Goldmünzen mit aztekischen motiven. Gefiederte Schlange, Jaguar etc.

(Siehe Seite 1)

Insgesamt hab gut 25% Plus gemacht in 07.

    Ja noch was:

    Grüße
    Tschonko
