    Harpo, unverhofft kommt oft... :D

VMS deposits haben es ja in sich.

Hier fast eine Mussseiteum sich zu informieren.
    http://earthsci.org/mineral/mindep/depfile/ma_sulp.htm

Volcanic-associated massive sulphide (VMS) deposits occur throughout the world and throughout the geological time column in virtually every tectonic domain that has submarine volcanic rocks as an important constituent. VMS deposits are major sources of Cu and Zn and contain significant quantities of Au, Ag, Pb, Se, Cd, Bi, Sn as well as minor amounts of other metals.

VMS deposits are classified with respect to host rock type and on the basis of ore composition. The host rock classification is a useful field system as it can be relates to the geological environment which can be determined from geologic maps. The major groups are:

1.felsic volcanic hosted - 50% of deposits - eg. Buttle Lake (Westmin - Vancouver Island, B.C.), Noranda

2.mafic volcinic hosted - 30% of deposits - eg. Anyox

    3.mixed volcanic/sedimentary association - 20% of deposits - eg. Windy Craggy, Tatshenshini Area, B.C.

Compositionally, VMS deposits form two broad groups:

1.Cu-Zn - eg. Noranda, Windy Craggy, Britannia (Britannia Beach, B.C.)

    2.Zn-Pb-Cu - eg. Buttle Lake

Economically significant quantities of Au and Ag may occur in all the above lithological andcompositional groups. There is only a poor correlation between the ore composition types and host rock type.

Another massive sulphide category - Pb, Zn deposits -forms in a sedimentary environment

VMS deposits tend to occur in districts. Up to two dozen deposits, might be clustered in an area of a few tens, of square kilometres. Known VMS districts are good hunting grounds for new discoveries.

Deposits within a specific district tend to have similar metal ratios and a fairly narrow range in composition. In any given district, deposits will tend to range in size from less than one million tonnes to several tens of millions of tonnes, with most deposits at the small end of the range and only a few large deposits.

Na ja, so 10% ist sie im Plus.
Die Bohrergebnisse sollen noch diesen Monat kommen. Wenn ich mich recht erinnere zu hole 2.

sieht in VMS möglicherweise eine neue Noront.

VMS stieg am freitag um ca 35%.

    Am 17.9 kam folgende Meldung:
    http://biz.yahoo.com/iw/070917/0302859.html

...is pleased to report what appears to be a significant discovery of volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) mineralization approximately 15 km west of the former Spruce Point Mine and 1,200 metres south of HudBay Minerals 'Highway Zone'. The property is located 52 kilometres southwest of the mining community of Snow Lake, Manitoba.

VMS Ventures Inc. is focused primarily on acquiring, exploring and developing copper-zinc properties in the Flin Flon-Snow Lake VMS Belt. The Company also holds the largest land package considered prospective for nickel-copper mineralization at Lynn Lake, which is to date Canada's third largest nickel producing camp. The Company's project portfolio consists of the Snow Lake VMS project, the Lynn Lake Gabbros nickel-copper project, the Nickel Belt project, the South Bay nickel-copper-cobalt PGE property, and the Eden Lake Carbonatite Complex, Specialty Metals property. All VMS Ventures Inc. properties are located in the mining friendly province of Manitoba, Canada.

    Homepage: gut gemacht und informativ
    http://www.vmsventures.com/

VMS Ventures Inc. has the second largest land position in Manitoba’s prolific Flin Flon - Snow Lake Volcanogenic Massive Sulphide (VMS) belt. The largest is held by Canada’s HudBay Minerals (HBM-TSX) with mines and mills in both Flin Flon and Snow Lake.

More than 20 VMS deposits, rich in copper-zinc as well as gold and silver, have been discovered in this belt.

To date, it has produced ore worth more than $29 billion.

The belt’s average 5 million tonne VMS deposit has a gross metal value of over $1.5 billion.

VMS Ventures Inc will now focus on an aggressive exploration program using VTEM airborne technology and sophisticated Geochemistry methodologies to generate specific drill targets beginning in late 2007.

The Silver Summit is going very well with solid attendance, although by no means standing room only. Alas, the "silver hairs" still dominate on the pariticipant side as I only counted a handful of younger investors under 50. There have been a number of good speakers and panels and the quality and breadth of the exhibiting companies is excellent. I particularly liked what I've learned about Silver Quest (by far the cheapest silver company with solid projects at a market cap under $5 million), Impact (more on this later), Mines Management (still a long term play, but now there is an end in sight along with exploration upside in the near future) and newcomers Silvermex and Mexican Silver Mines. I'll talk more about the latter two in greater detail at some point as well, but for now I will just mention that they both have good appreciation potential in the short term for risk averse silver investors looking to diversify their Mexican junior exploration portfolios. It appears there is still no shortage of high potential projects in the "land o'plenty" since both of these companies came along after I wrote in May 2006 that Arian Silver might have arrived just in the nick of time (May 2006) in terms of good projects not yet vended by their Mexican owners to junior explorers. I'm amazed that the exploration and mining potential in Mexico appears to remain virtually untapped even after the flurry of discoveries and mine developments that have taken place in the past few years.

    http://www.minesite.com/nc/min.....ars/1.html

Silverstone Resources Accelerates Silver Production Over Next Couple of Years
    September 20, 2007

Silverstone Resources is not exactly a conventional junior mining company as has been obvious from July last year when it completed its initial public offering, prior to listing on the TSX Venture Exchange, by way of distribution as a dividend-in-kind to the shareholders of Capstone. The dividend-in-kind was paid on the basis of one unit of Silverstone for every three shares of Capstone held. These units consisted of one common share in the capital stock of Silverstone and one half of one transferable share purchase warrant to purchase common shares in the capital stock of Silverstone. The obvious question is what is the relationship between Silverstone and Capstone and the answer is that in February of this year Silverstone agreed to buy 100 per cent of the silver produced from Capstone’s Cozamin mine in Mexico for the next 10 years.
So there you have what amounts to a virtuous circle. Capstone gives birth to Silverstone and once it has established its own individuality Silverstone comes back to Capstone and offers to buy its future silver production for US$20 million plus 19.35 million special warrants which together were valued at US$44 million. On top of this Silverstone will pay US$4 for each ounce of silver, but not until it has actually been delivered. Cozamin is a copper-zinc-lead and silver mine in Zacatecas State, Mexico, which is expected to produce an average of 1.2 million ounces of silver for the next 10 years so the back-of-envelope calculations are simple. At the end of the period Cozamin should have produced 12 million ounces of silver for which it will have been paid US$48 million, plus the upfront US$44 million, which equals US$92 million.

Without entering the realms of discounted cash flow and compound interest the simple fact is that Silverstone is buying silver for US$7.6/oz until 2017. The present price of silver is US$13.12/oz so there is plenty of margin for any treatment undertaken by Silverstone and the present demand/ supply situation in the silver market indicates that the price should go higher over the coming years. Just in case anything goes wrong at Cozamin, which has more than enough resources to cover this contract, Capstone will pay Silverstone US$1.00 for each ounce of silver less than 10 million ounces delivered at the end of the 10 year term. The advantage to Capstone is that it has found a way to sell production forward and Silverstone gets the advantage of steady cash flow geared to the price of silver.

Clearly it has worked out to the benefit of both parties as Silverstone has recently announced that it has agreed a similar deal with Lundin Mining to acquire 100 per cent of the life of mine payable silver production from its Neves Corvo and Aljustrel mines in Portugal. As Darren Pylot, Silverstone’s chief executive points out, “This transaction, coming on top of the Cozamin deal, will triple Silverstone’s silver sales to around 3 million ozs annually by late 2009. We have acquired this silver production from base metal mines with long mine lives and significant exploration potential”.

Neves-Corvo and Aljustrel are base metal mines (copper-zinc-lead-silver) situated quite near each other, but operated separately. The mill at Neves-Corvo, located in southern Portugal, produces around 500,000 ounces of payable silver annually contained in copper concentrate. In July 2006 production of zinc concentrate commenced at the site. The Aljustrel mine is just being commissioned and it is scheduled to process 1.8 million tones of lead-zinc-silver ore annually, which is expected to yield approximately 1.2 million ounces of silver in lead concentrate when full production of the Feitais ore body is reached in 2009. The price paid in upfront cash, shares and warrants reflects the larger amount of silver involved and this time marginally less is paid for each ounce of silver. The other difference is that at the time of the Cozamin deal funding came be way of equity placements, this time US$40 million in bank debt has been arranged with Scotia Capital.

Lundin Mining also becomes a significant shareholder in Silverstone which could prove a useful relationship in the future. It is worth remembering that Silverstone also has an option to earn a 90 per cent interest in 4 advanced silver-gold projects in Mexico. The current focus is on the Copala silver-gold project in Sinaloa State where drilling has taken place on the Clemens and El Muerto zones on the Animas Refugio vein and intersections included 11.33metres grading 1.65g/t gold and 288g/t silver and 7.75metres grading 1.86g/t gold and 227g/t silver. The data accumulated from this drilling confirms that the silver-gold mineralization in both the Clemens and El Muerto zones is open along strike and down dip and there is excellent potential for both underground and open pit development on this vein. Metallurgical testwork and an initial resource estimate are next on Silverstone’s list with Capstone and Lundin Mining looking over Mr Pylot’s shoulder.

    Sozusagen Handarbeit! :D
ind auch gut gestiegen die letzten Tage. Noch immer saubillig.

Geologix Expolrations and Silver Standard Resources Amend San Agustin Option Agreement
Thursday September 20, 12:37 pm ET

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Sept. 20, 2007) - Geologix Explorations Inc. ("Geologix") (TSX VENTURE:GIX - News; FRANKFURT:GF6 - News) and Silver Standard Resources Inc. ("Silver Standard") have signed an amendment to the San Agustin Option Agreement dated August 29, 2006 (http://www.geologix.ca/s/NewsReleases.asp?ReportID=148539) for the San Agustin property located in Durango State, Mexico.

The amendment to the Option Agreement defines the following terms:

    - A final Drill Plan has been agreed to that defines the remaining 12,450 meters of the15,000 meter drill commitment required to be completed to prepare the resource estimate that will be used to determine the property purchase price.

    - The resource calculation will be based on all historical information as of August 22, 2007 and the remaining 12,450 meters identified in the amended final Drill Plan.

    - The final Drill Plan has moved 1500 meters of drilling from a central core area in the original agreement to Zone 2 as defined by Geologix.

    - Additional drilling or data completed by Geologix outside of the amended agreement terms and final Drill Plan will not be included in the resource calculation used for purchase of the property.

Exmin hat ein Option agreement mit Canarc:
da haben sich zwei gute gefunden.

    http://biz.yahoo.com/iw/070920/0304889.html

    http://www.exmin.com/projects/

    Investors and Potential Investors,

Given the large amount of work EXMIN has completed this summer, we thought a synopsis might make it easier to understand the shareholder value our company has created over this period. Weakness in the Precious Metal mining shares has clearly affected EXMIN, and we view the current share price as an extraordinary value. Here are some of the key things we have accomplished this summer:

Inaugurated the Moris Mine our 30%-owned Moris mine project commenced production on schedule in August, with the first gold pour anticipated in October. When fully ramped up, likely by year-end, EXMIN's share of production will generate cash flow of roughly US$300,000 per month, based on annual mine output of roughly 36,000 ounces of gold (Au price U$650) and 150,000 ounces of silver.
Continued drilling at the Moris exploration project - In July, we reported solid drilling results at Moris with our JV partner, Hochschild Ltd. of Peru, including an intercept that cut 17.05 metres of 1.05 g/t gold. In July, the second significant drilling program commenced at Moris, with a third program potentially commencing in the fourth quarter.
Created a significant strategic alliance with Hochschild In July, we announced that Hochschild participated in a $4.5 million private placement with EXMIN. Under its terms, EXMIN's debt to Hochschild was cancelled as well, in exchange for shares that effectively raised its stake in EXMIN to approximately 17%. Additionally, Hochschild will work more closely with the company on project generation, and obtained the first right of offer on many of EXMIN's available projects.
Commencement of second stage drilling with Industrias Peoles This week, we announced that the second major drilling program at Maguarichic will commence in early fall: a 3,000 metre program with very high potential. Prep work has been completed, and initial sampling is very promising.
Continued developing drill targets at our joint venture with Yale Resources Last week, Yale renewed its earn-in JV agreement with EXMIN for the Urique project, entering the second year of the five-year term. First year work was very successful, with one large drill-ready target defined and several other promising targets being explored.
Received favorable drilling results from our 100%-owned Horcon project In August, we published initial drilling results from Horcon, including cuts of 1.12 g/t Au over 13.7 metres with nearly 1 ounce silver per ton and almost 2 % combined lead and zinc and 2.88 g/t Au over 3.6 metres with nearly 2 ounces of silver per ton and 5% combined lead and zinc.
Made a significant acquisition In August, we acquired the high grade Pino silver project in the Sierra Madre Occidental of Durango state. This project is located near several other projects being explored or mined by Canadian junior resource companies, including Guanacevi (Endeavor Silver), Topia (Great Panther Resources) and Tahuehueto (Soho Resources). We view this project as having excellent discovery potential, either as a 100%-owned or joint venture property.
Created our fifth Joint Venture This morning, we announced a new joint venture with Canarc Resources (CCM.V) to explore the Santiago project on our Batopilas concession. This five-year agreement represents are fifth joint venture, with Canarc being the fourth company to become a partner of EXMIN.
We are very proud of these accomplishments, and look forward to adding further to shareholder value in the near future. Management works for you and all EXMIN shareholders. We encourage and welcome your questions, criticisms, and praises, and are here to answer your calls or e-mails at any time. In North America , our toll-free number is 866-493-9646.

    auratico,

    Aus dem shareholder update 2007:
Ich halte die nach wie vor

    http://www.cliftonmining.com/shareholder2007Summary.html

Clifton Is A Richly Diverse And Unique Company

    • Clifton currently has a property joint venture with Dumont Nickel Inc. The joint venture currently holds 108 mining lode claims and 28 patented claims. (These are claims that have been proven to have mineral value)

    • Clifton owns 61% of Woodman Mining Company

    • Clifton owns water rights in desert lands

    • Clifton owns 23% of American Biotech Labs

    • Clifton has no significant debt

    Mining Claims

Clifton’s claims (approximately five square miles) are located in a historic mining district that has produced gold, silver, lead, copper and other metals.

By law, a mining claim could be patented only if it was proven that a mineable deposit exists on the claim. Clifton’s patented claims are listed as having known deposits of gold, silver, copper, and lead.

    Woodman Mining Company

Clifton owns 61% of Woodman Mining Company, the owner of the Cane Springs gold property. Dumont has also earned an interest in the Cane Springs property by spending funds that led to the discovery of a second gold-bearing structure similar to the historic mine on the property. The mine was a high-grade gold producer, and drilling by Dumont has found gold values in the newly found structure up to 6 ounces of gold per ton. Average values have yet to be determined, but indications suggest a profitable deposit. The new system comes to the surface 2,000 feet south of Clifton’s mill.

    Water Rights

Clifton currently owns water rights near the town sites of Gold Hill and Clifton, and has the capacity to supply all of its needs. Large flows from these sources would allow Clifton to sell excess water. The water is rich with naturally occurring minerals and may hold value as a source of concentrated natural trace minerals.

    Dumont Joint Venture-Completed List

    • The joint venture has expanded the property to eight times its original size.

    • The venture has completed surface sampling on much of the expanded property.

    • The venture acquired and drilled a known deposit outside of Clifton’s property area (Kiewit Gold Zone).

    • Dumont has spent millions of dollars doing exploration, furthering the interests and value of Clifton and its shareholders, at little cost to Clifton.

    Known Mineralization

There are hundreds of mineral occurrences on the property, where minerals come to the surface. There are three areas on the property are of particular interest.

    Kiewit Gold Zone

We believe the Kiewit Gold Zone holds between 75,000-200,000 ounces of mineable gold. The deposit is currently being reviewed to certify reserves.

    Cane Springs

The Cane Springs is a past producing, high-grade gold mine with gold values well over an ounce per ton. Some of the existing mine pillars were assayed at as much as nine ounces of gold per ton. Dumont discovered a second gold bearing structure a few hundred yards from the original mine working. The newly discovered structure was then drilled and it was confirmed that the deposit continues to depth. The new deposit could hold as much as 100,000-200,000 contained ounces of gold. Phase one drilling has been completed. Management is now deciding if it is better to go on to phase two drilling or to use the same money to open and start mining the property.

    Shear Zones

The Shear Zones are a series of lead /silver/gold veins on the south side of the property. A 2000 report, completed before SEC definitions of “proven and probable ore” changed, states that the Shear veins hold 581,300 tons of proven and probable resource, containing 4.8 million ounces of silver, 26,626 ounces of gold, and 30,227 tons of lead (5.2%). The deposits are open at depth and along strike.

    Near Term OBJECTIVES

    1) Obtain a certified report for the Kiewit Gold Property.

    2) Negotiate release of claims not currently of interest to our partner, and possibly bring in a new partner.

    American Biotech Labs

    Brief History

American Biotech Labs is a private company started by the Moeller family and associates. The Moeller’s arranged that Clifton could buy a position in the company, affording Clifton the opportunity for an alternative source of income. The total cost to Clifton was $20,000. Clifton currently owns about 22-23% of ABL. The stock that Clifton has purchased over time in the company has grown in value from $20,000 to an estimated $8,000,000 at today‘s prices for ABL stock ($5/share). ABL continues to grow and prosper.

    T.

    Hallo auratico,

    CPN.TO wurde mitverprügelt.

Hab ja noch was dort, aber was????

Zukauf an base metalls grüner wiese.
    Nö, ein historischer producer.

Yale Adds Porphyry Target to the La Verde Project
Thursday September 13, 1:30 pm ET

VANCOUVER, BC--(MARKET WIRE)--Sep 13, 2007 -- Yale Resources Ltd. (CDNX:YLL.V - News) (Frankfurt:YAB.F - News) is pleased to report that it has acquired, by staking, an additional 440 hectares of prospective ground adjoining the northeast corner of the La Verde Project. This addition to the La Verde Project covers a large porphyry target with anomalous copper, zinc and molybdenum values.

In 2000, Freeport McMoran drilled 8 RC/diamond drill holes over a six square kilometre area. This drilling loosely defined the La Sierrita quartz monzonite porphyry underlying an area four square kilometres in size. Each hole drilled into the La Sierrita Porphyry encountered copper, zinc, tungsten, and molybdenum mineralization over considerable widths.

"The presence of the La Sierrita Porphyry is significant to Yale as it demonstrates that there is a very large mineralizing system within the La Verde Project," stated Ian Foreman, P.Geo., President of Yale Resources.

The association between the La Sierrita Porphyry and the copper-zinc-silver-gold skarn deposits (the La Verde Grande Mine, as well as the La Verdesita, San Louis, El Picacho, La Tescalama and La Verde deposits) identified to date within the La Verde property is unknown at this time.

    About the La Verde Project:

The La Verde Project covers 2,640 hectares (26.4 square kilometres) and is located 45 km northwest of Hermosillo, Sonora State, Mexico. In addition to the historic La Verde Grande copper-zinc-silver-gold mine, the La Verde Project contains at least five other known deposits that have all seen limited production. The La Verde Grande copper-zinc-silver-gold mine is a skarn deposit with a pre NI 43-101 historic resource of 459,551 tonnes grading 2.29% copper, 98.54 g/t silver and 0.38 g/t gold. In addition to the possible extensions to the La Verde Grande mine, the La Verde Project has considerable exploration potential.

Ian Foreman, P.Geo, is the Qualified Person, according to National Instrument 43-101, for the La Verde Project and is responsible for the technical data mentioned in this news release. All 'Historic Data' is presented for reference only and should not be relied upon as it pre-dates NI 43-101.
