Schon mal erwähnt hier: die Museums- Modelle der unterirdischen Bauten im Silvervalley sind sehr beeindruckend und eine Heidenarbeit, sie zu erstellen. Wenn man dann erst noch eine Vorstellung davon schon im Kopf hat!

Hi!

Das war gestern nicht mehr normal im Silver Valley.

Und ich kann mir kaum vorstellen, dass man so etwas noch sehr oft erleben können wird.
Vermutlich sehen das einige dort auch so, deshalb liefen ja da so auffällige Deals gestern ...

Nach einer Rekapitulation nochmal alles im Überblick:

* Azteca Gold Corp. (CA:AZG) ging den zweiten Tag nach Freitag explosiv unter einigermassen hohem Volumen weiter rauf, da hat sich dann aber der Handel, wie es Tschonko richtig bemerkt hat, intraday ausgedünnt & die Kurse kamen wieder etwas zurück.
Kein Wunder natürlich, nach einer Verdreifachung.
Wenn man das nur alles von Anfang an gewusst hätte ... aber so ist es ja immer, siehe U.S. Silver Corp. (USA.V / CA:USA). ...
Nur dass ich diesmal eben nicht nur zusehen musste.

* Bei Highland Surprise Mining (HSCM), die vom Bunker Hill Gelände eingeschlossen ist, liefen gestern knapp 5% der Gesamtaktien über den Ladentisch!!
Und das bei einem Kurscrash von über 50% ... natürlich macht ein Kurscrash keinen Sinn, wenn der Hype bei Papa Hopper nebenan tobt!
Und ich hab die HSCM.PK ja auch schon dick geladen ... .Deshalb: Wenn man da nervös wird - kann man auch nix machen.
Ich bin also bei 0.10 US$ rein, nicht ganz auf dem Tiefstkurs von 0.08, aber das ist sowieso illusorisch.
Denn da hatte sicherlich jemand etwas abgesprochen, solche Kurse kommen nicht normal zustande.
Ähnlich hatten wirs schon mal Ende des letzten Jahres bei Mascot Mines inc. (MSLM).
Bei den Pink Sheets werden die Private Placements und Verschiebungen grösserer Aktienpakete offenbar immer noch sehr gerne erst am Telefon & dann an der Börse durchgeführt.
Mal sehen, wie lange noch.
Ich hab da gestern ordentlich mitgemischt. ... Ohne Telefon.

* Gleiches Spiel gestern bei Merger Mines (MERG), sie fiel wie eine Guillotine um über 50% auf zeitweise 0.35 US$ !!
Und das - man muss es sich wirklich einmal vorstellen - bei einem Volumen von 11 % der Gesamtaktien dieser Firma!! 11 % !!
Suuuper, dachte ich mir, das kann ich auch.
Habe mir deshalb bei 0.40, als der Kurs schon wieder begann anzuziehen, einige geholt!

* Nebenbei: bei Hunter Creek Mining (HTRC), die ja ganz woanders, nämlich im Ost Silver Valley bei der Lucky Friday Mine liegt, war es ähnlich, da habe ich aber nichts gemacht, gestern. ...
Da liefen 2% der Gesamtfirma über den Ladentisch, bei einem Kurscrash von zwischenzeitlich 0.17 US$, vorher 0.26 US$ ... ein Zeichen, dass hier die Sache schon nicht mehr so frei möglich ist, der Crash war hier sanfter, die Preise sind da bereits angezogen.

Freigeschwommen habe ich mich übrigens vorher durch Verkäufe von einigen American Silver Mining (ASLM) bei 1,01 US$ (muss ich dann halt irgendwann anders mal wieder nachkaufen) und Azteca Gold Corp. (CA:AZG) bei 0.70 Ca$
Grade noch, denn danach lief nicht mehr viel.

Und jetzt kommt das beste:
Und DAS ALLES bei einem soften Silberpreiskurs in einer Range zwischen 13,30 und 13,35, - - - ruhiger gehts nicht!!

Mein Gedanke war nun folgender:

Die Freitagssendung vom 23.03.2006, dem Tag der Bekanntgabe der Zusammenarbeit von Bob Hopper mit Azteca Gold Corp., könnte interessant sein, da ist nämlich ausserdem noch David Bond zu Gast.

Erst geht es witzhalber ums "Center of the Universe" in Wallace, Idaho, dann um Permits & Minen wie Coeur d'Alene Mining, die das Valley verlassen haben.
Wegen der Regulierungswut in Idaho.
Teils ist das recht schwer zu verstehen, ist halt Radio.

Ein Zitat von David Bond, auf die Frage, ob in Wallace alles beim Alten ist: "Yes! - There is no motion at the Center of the Universe!" - Schöner Satz. Und ganz schön selbstironisch auch!

Im weiteren Verlauf vergleicht Bob Hopper das Mining Business und das Thema der Permits mit dem "Laufen durch ein Minenfeld".

Und David Bond kontert, mit einer zitierfähigen Reaktion (ca. 11te Minute):

"They [the EPA] never give you a permission - you have to sort of 'try it' and then they stop you at mid motion and say: no, you can't do it that way!
- But what way can we do it?
Well, thats not up to us!

danach widmen sie sich dem Thema "Sub Prime Lenders" und Platzen der Immobilienblase in den USA.

Fazit von Bob Hopper und wohl neben dem wenig verlockenden Motto des Broadcasts dieses Tages auch ein Stück weit Bob Hoppers Lebensthema (ca. Ende 18te Minute):

"Now, even if you do it right, you're still wrong! And that is the dilemma the whole nation is looking at, today!"

Soviel Defätismus ist sogar David Bond etwas zu viel & man hört ihn daraufhin tief durchschnaufen, als wolle er einen schweren Ballast los werden ... .
Ein spannendes Zeitdokument, aber ansonsten leider ohne weitere nennenswerte, unmittelbare Bezüge zum sonstigen Geschehen (Aztec usw.). ... Immerhin das Thema Permits wurde klärend besprochen!

SNS Going For The Silver

Wallace, Idaho – We are standing near the mountaintop just west of the Sunshine Mine and just east of the Bunker Hill. Far below us Kellogg looks like a postage stamp, its prominent new feature being the new condos going up for the ski hill and golf course, the links under construction over top of the Superfund burial site of the old Bunker Hill smelter. Across the canyon are the early diggings of the Blake brothers, who discovered the Sunshine Mine in 1884. Sunshine's parking lot is full these days, as is the lot at the Lucky Friday and Galena mines. We can't quite see it from here, but just north of this drainage the boys at New Jersey are digging into the mountains by Murray, and finding gold and silver.

The condos are selling for more money that you'd have needed to buy a whole batch of patented claims, or maybe even a whole company or town, in this camp a dozen years ago. The rock rabbits are thick as May ticks on the hillsides hereabouts. Canadians are everywhere here: there are more TSX companies in the Coeur d'Alenes right now than Amex or Pinks or NYSE types. For better or worse we have been discovered.

Our reverie is interrupted by a comment from one Brian White, SNS Silver's geologist, as he gets ready to kick off one of the most ambitious exploration campaigns ever mounted by a junior company in this district. “If there's a major orebody up here, it won't escape us,” says White.

Brian White is the guy, very well respected by even the most cynical of mining operators up here, who is of the belief that the Coeur d'Alene Mining District's “upper country” only marginally mined and explored in early days may carry extensions of the very veins that made this camp so famous. With his Jack Russell terrier Jake at his heel, he takes out a geologists' measuring tape and marks out 100 yards of funny-coloured float rock high up on this mountain that he believes is evidence that the boiling-hot water that carried silver to the lower country oozed out way up to the top of this mountain, too.

Here are Brian's particulars, boosted right off of SNS Silver's website but fairly common knowledge in these parts:

- Involved in exploration and applied exploration and rock mechanics research in the Coeur d'Alene Mining District for 30 years.

- Worked for all major companies and in nearly all mines that have been active during this time, as well as for the Spokane Research Laboratory of the US Bureau of Mines, which, later, became part of the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health. The Spokane Research Lab has long led field-oriented rock burst and rock mechanics research in the district.

- Applied regional stratigraphy to the exploration and study of the important red-bed-associated copper-silver deposits of the Revett Copper Belt of northwest Montana and northern Idaho;

- Substantially reinterpreted the major tectonism of the Coeur d'Alene district and the Lewis and Clark line, an important tectonic lineament that hosts the district and helped identify the metamorphic shear zones that apparently created the veins.

- Identified and defined the Noxon line, a northerly trending structural lineament that is inferred to have localized Sullivan- and Revett Copper Belt-type deposits that were later mobilized into Coeur d'Alene veins, thereby accounting for the unusual abundance of lead, zinc, and, especially, silver in the Coeur d'Alene district.

- He pioneered lithologic control of ore as an effective tool for exploration in the Coeur d'Alene district.

- He also perfected the field usefulness of carbonate zonation about veins as an effective tool of exploration that is sometimes capable of detecting veins up to hundreds of meters away.

About all of which, as anybody here in the district would tell you: “He is one helluva geologist and a good guy, too.”

“I was worried that my theory about upper extensions of the veins here would die with me. But now, perhaps within a few weeks, I'll get to know,” he tells us as Jake looks for a new bush to pee on. And there is something almost magical to see an academic guy like White actually get a green light to test a theory all the way out to its success or failure. He has an able young assistant in Jesse Bird, whose undergraduate work at the University of Idaho and his postings with the Idaho Geological Survey put him high up on the list of Coeur d'Alene District expertise.

Craig Durick, another U of I alum, is superintending the Crescent project and has worked for a variety of major silver producers including Asarco, Coeur D'Alene Mines, Sunshine Mining Co., The New Bunker Hill Mining Co., U.S. Silver, Bunker Limited Partnership and cut his teeth at the Crescent 16 years ago. So yeah, he knows these rocks, too.

White's exploration program consists of a fan-patterned drilling operation, starting about 2,500 feet above the mine's main Hooper Tunnel adit, from the surface. As the months progress, drilling will commence from underground workings at the Hooper and older, higher-up portals. What's instructive to know is that “conventional wisdom” about this district discarded rocks that were assaying below about 20 ounces/ton of silver. When silver was at $1.29 this made sense, just as in Nevada, where gold miners tossed away rock that was worth less than $20 a ton, or 1 ounce/ton. Grades below 10 ounces/ton are economic at today's prices if stope-mined, and lower grades than that are economic using bulk-mining technologies.

In mining, as with real estate, location is everything. Positioned in a cat-bird's seat between Bunker Hill and Sunshine, it would take a special kind of fool not to find ore at the Crescent. Weirder things have happened, and drilling from the surface only infers an ore body. At some point, you have to go hacking into the rock for a first-hand look, as the brass-board in the company dry already indicates they are. What's enervating about the Crescent Mine crowd is that they have the will to do the hard work. They are doing it. I like guys who keep their promises. As long as White is happy and his department is funded, so too should be SNS Silver's shareholders.

What a rush it would be, if a 30-year-old theory kicking around an academician's head turned out to be right. The implications for the Coeur d'Alene Mining District are huge. The whole planet is rushing after 10-ounce rock. It could be no further than our back yard.

Hallo Silver Rules!

Die Firma hat mit dem Silver Valley Idaho nichts zu tun, soweit ich sehen konnte.

Die Gebiete der alten Hercules Mine im Silver Valley bei Wallace (Ex-Namensvetter, gab es wirklich im Valley, insofern habe ich auch kurz gestutzt) sind das nicht, das ist ein anderes Property.
Das ist übrigens die Region im Valley, wo heute die Silver Buckle Mines (SBUM) sitzt.

Kurz gesagt: ich kann zu der gar nichts sagen, leider.
Dass die Homepage einfach gestrickt ist, muss nichts Negatives bedeuten.

Immerhin haben sie eine!!!

Aber das Gebiet liegt jedenfalls nicht im Silver Valley & man müsste sich von 0 auf einarbeiten.

Was ist bei New Jersey (NJMC.OB) heute bloss los

Hallo Eldo!

erinnert an Ende 2006. Damals wars die Befürchtung, dass viel Geld neu aufgenommen werden muss für die neuen Projekte (Basismetalle).

Die Mascot Mines inc. (MSLM) (selbes Management wie die NJMC), die damals auch zeitgleich mit eingebrochen war, hat sich dieses mal noch nicht mit bewegt.
Sie verhält sich aber die letzten Wochen auffällig schwach.

1) Also ist der Grund dieses mal wahrscheinlich weniger eine aktuelle Meldung in der Richtung, eher was, was im Hintergrund wirkt (PPs?) und schon länger bekannt sein dürfte.
Dennoch - evtl. ist da bei NJMC also - wie damals - aktuell das Thema Finanzierungen unterwegs.

2) Oder ein Pushing ist unterwegs - die Strategic Nevada Resources (TSX-V: SNS) ist ohne Meldungen 14% rauf gegangen. ...
Auffällig, weil die seit Wochen auf dem Weg zu einer realeren Bewertung - nach unten - waren ... .
Nicht dass da wieder was kommt mit "Tops & Flops im Silver Valley", wie von Moriarty Anfang 2007.

Vorteil: das ist dann selten nachhaltig, wie man gesehen hat.

Ich habe kurz gesucht aber eben sonst nichts Konkretes an Meldungen gefunden, Sorry!

Vielleicht hat Edel Man eine Idee, er verfolgt die Firma recht genau!
