    Nach erstem Zögern habe ich mich entschlossen, nun doch einen eigenen Thread zu Southern Arc (CA 8422001070 - SA.V - A0F40) zu eröffnen. Es handelt sich um einen Gold- und Kupferexplorer aus Indonesien, der gestern nach der Veröffentlichung des Ergebnisses von nur einem Bohrloch in Übersee gleich einen rechten Hüpfer von 35% gemacht hat. Die Mineralisierungsgrade sind freilich nicht so hoch, doch dies auf einer Länge von über 400m, also so, wie die Newmonts und Barricks arbeiten. Ironischerweise hatte Newmont schon einmal, bei viel niedrigeren Metallpreisen, 16 Millionen in die Exploration des Gebietes gesteckt.

    Wenn sie noch etliche solcher Löcher bieten können, wäre Southern Arc wohl bald ein Kandidat für eine größere Übernahme, meint Spezi Bob Moriarty. Hier haben wir ihn also wieder, den herbeigesehnten Tenbagger. Nicht daß es wieder heißt, man habe es nicht gewußt. Push, push...


    When I first looked at the company, the market cap was about $15 million. As of yesterday, after the press release, the company was about $40 million. For a similar valuation, look at Palmarejo. They got bought out a week ago for $1.1 billion based on a preproduction status with 3 million ounces of gold. That's the potential Southern Arc has just based on the Selodong gold-rich porphyry copper system.


    So far, Southern Arc has delivered everything they said they would do, when they said they would do it. That's rare and valuable all by itself. But yesterday they delivered a company-making hole. Another 600-meter hole is in progress with results in another three weeks.


    I thought they were a 10 bagger from the $.35 level but I'm going to raise my estimate. They have a giant system, Newmont is going to be breathing hard down Southern Arc's neck and the Chinese with their $250 billion dollar slush fund for minerals is going to be on them like white on rice.


    I think Southern Arc will be taken out in the next 12-18 months at a price between $1 billion to $2 billion. They have a Batu Hijau on their hands. The market has been looking for a giant new find and I think Southern Arc just delivered. When the market wakes up and Southern Arc goes over their press releases a little more carefully, look for a lot of fireworks.


    We owned shares before, I participated in a private placement and I bought more shares on the open today. I am biased.

    Der Anstieg bei SA.V geht bei hohem Volumen rasant weiter - fast schon gespenstisch nach Bekanntgabe des Ergebnisses aus nur einem Bohrloch. In D heute sogar +75%, in Kanada weitere 20%.
    Noch room to move oder wird sie heftig zurückkommen? Noch scheint kaum jemand die gut 100% der letzten Tage mitnehmen zu wollen...

    Southern Arc Minerals (TSX-V:SA) experienced an explosion in share value Friday rising 35.90% combined with 2,961,847 shares traded. On May 11th they released encouraging results from its first drill hole, MB001, completed within the Selodong Intrusive Complex.

This resulted in a 442.2 metre intersection averaging 0.28% Cu and 0.42 g/t Au (from 33.8 to 476.0 metres).     Schon richtig, aber das letzte Mal, dass sich Moriarty derart ungehemmt, ja geradezu enthusiastisch für einen aus seiner Sicht krass unterbewerteten Explorer eingesetzt hat, war bei Nova Gold. Die standen damals bei $ 1.5. Gut, er steckt natürlich auch hier wieder fett selber drinnen. Aber diesmal sind wir wirklich am Anfang, und ich wollte nur darauf aufmerksam machen.


    Fürs erste jedenfalls ist die Sache wohl richtig wild überkauft und die Leute vom letzten PP bei $0.70 sitzen schon auf einem Verdoppler.Was aber, wenn sie von der nächsten Bohrung über 600m in drei Wochen wieder ähnliche Ergebnisse melden? Das wären dann erst zwei Bohrungen von noch vielen ausstehenden. Dann würde diese Lagerstätte nämlich im Schnellzugtempo zu einer wirklich großen werden, nicht so handtuchbreit, wie die meisten Explorer mit vielleicht viel höheren Mineralisierungsgraden. Da kann dann jahrzehntelang abgebaut werden.

    SA.V steigt kräftig weiter nach Veröffentlichung der Daten vom 2. Bohrloch (von vorerst 8 geplanten), was die Vermutung weiter bestätigt, daß die auf einer wirklich großen Lagerstätte sitzen. Zwar ohne spektakuläre Gehalte, aber eben jeweils über mehrere hundert Meter verlaufend und also mehr als nachhaltig.
    Die Ergebnisse vom 3. Bohrloch werden dann wohl im Juni kommen.
    Ich glaube nicht, daß man hier viel falsch machen kann, denn mit jeder nachgewiesenen Ausweitung der Vorkommen in dieser Größenordnung steigt der Kurs, und die sind erst am Anfang mit den Veröffentlichungen des laufenden Bohrprogramms.
    Der Markt scheint davon auszugehen, daß die kommenden Bohrergebnisse nun ähnlich sein werden und also auf eine in großen Schritten ausgeweitete mineralisierte Zone schließen läßt.

    Southern Arc Minerals Inc. (TSX VENTURE:SA) is pleased to announce that the second diamond drill hole (MB002) at its Montong Botek porphyry Cu-Au target has intersected more encouraging copper - gold mineralization. The Montong Botek porphyry forms part of the Selodong Intrusive Complex (SIC), which is situated at the southeast end of a 13 km long, northwest trending structural corridor of mineralization and alteration along which also lie the Pelangan Gold Prospect and the Mencanggah Epithermal/Porphyry District, all within SA's Lombok Property.


    Drill hole MB002 was completed at a total depth of 518.0 m. Following the first 18.1 metres, which was not mineralized, drilling intersected:-


    384.65 m at 0.30% Cu and 0.40 g/t Au from 18.1 to 402.75 m (including 117.2 m at 0.56% Cu and 0.80 g/t Au from 118.7 to 235.90 m)


    This intersection is interpreted as being an extension of the same high-grade porphyry Cu-Au mineralized zone intersected in drill hole MB001..

    Inzwischen muss es bald eher heissen: Wer kauft die nicht?
    Heute hat SA.V erstmals die C$ 2 erreicht, vor anderthalb Monaten waren es noch C$ 0, 75 gewesen. Kurz, das Teil läuft super. Bald kommen die Bohrergebnise vom drittten Bohrloch ( über ca. 600m!). Der derzeitige Anstieg ist auf eine Vorwegnahme eines guten Ergebnisses aus dieser Bohrung zurückzuführen.

    "Next up is Southern Arc, which saw its share price get way ahead of itself on unreasonable expectations of a stupendous drillhole at the Selodong project that never materialized. Mind you, the hole was good, but not good enough to support the inflated stock. Through some timely trading, I managed to somehow lock in gains of almost 80% over 2 weeks and I am currently out of the stock. I will wait to see what happens around the C$1.75 level before making another foray. There appears to be no hurry at this point because there could very well be several weeks of price consolidation ahead."
