    Robinhood is selling their GME shares without warning. Screenshots like
    the one below are starting to make their rounds on social media.
    Meanwhile, platforms like Webull and Merrill Edge have also joined in
    the restrictions.

    Update 1232 EST: Following the outrage of stock manipulation from AOC, Brendon Nelson (presumably a Robinhood user), sued Robinhood Financial LLC, Robinhood Securities, LLC, and Robinhood Markets, Inc. in the Southern District of New York this afternoon for "removing Gamestop from its trading platform."

    But Citadel and SAC Point72 were not the only ones on the firing line. As Faber also said earlier, "any number of large of large hedge funds have suffered significantly."
    How much? According to financial data analytics firm Ortex, short-sellers - mostly hedge funds - are sitting on estimated losses of $70.87 billion from their short positions in U.S. companies just in 2021 alone! Add puts and other underwater derivatives, and the real loss will be even greater. And just as striking: Ortex data showed that as of Wednesday, there were loss-making short positions on more than 5,000 U.S. firms.

    Update 1155 EST: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) is absolutely livid with Robinhood's decision to place trade restrictions on users from purchasing certain stocks while large financial institutions can "freely trade the stocks."
    AOC called this double-standard "unacceptable."
    Meanwhile, Barstool Sports' Dave Portnoy said he's down a "milly," (we believe that's a reference to $1MM) following the trade restrictions placed by Robinhood and other discount brokerages. He called Robinhood trading app "crooks" and started calling out executives on Twitter.
    Portnoy still thinks "$amc and $nok come back the second the free markets open again."
    Portnoy had this message to the founder of Robinhood:
    Even rapper Ja Rule chimed into the discussion about the corruption on Wall Street. He said, "They hedge fund guy shorted these stocks now we can’t buy them ppl start selling out of fear... we lose money they make money on the short... THIS IS A FUCKING CRIME!!!"
    And that's coming from the guy who helped organize Fyre Fest.

    Analysts told BBG: “We do not believe the SEC will issue an emergency order nor will the Fed change margin requirements. The only possible action that will potentially be taken is the SEC suspending trading in one or more of the names for one to two business days”
    Update 0950 EST: Robinhood (once again) appears to be down. There's no word on whether the disruption is just from the volatility or whether or not it is directly related to the platform's ban of buying certain equities:

    Hier ist Eric Sprott derjenige, der die Grundlage gelegt hat. Er hat letztes Jahr schon massiv Silber gekauft und ist an vielen wichtigen Minen beteiligt.

    ich weise seit sehr langer zeit darauf hin, das ein squeeze bei fm möglich ist... und habe auch immer wieder die aktuellen short zahlen gepostet. würde es mir durchaus wünschen :)

    MINERAL Resources Authority managing director Jerry Garry says it seems
    some operators of mining projects are avoiding paying corporate taxes.
    “It seems that many operators are shifting profits and eroding tax bases to avoid paying corporate tax income,” he said.
    Garry made the comments when commending K92 Mining Inc for paying K25
    million in corporate tax to the Government despite being a relatively
    small mine compared to other mines in PNG.
    The company recently announced the payment of the tax for 2019/2020 following its commercial production.
    Garry said K92 Mining was a good example of how efficient and prudent
    management of any business could lead to profitable outputs resulting in
    the payment of taxes to the Government.
    Garry said 2020 was a difficult year for business.
    “However, it all came down to how each organisation managed its
    business and it seems K92 Mine did exceptionally well in that respect,”
    he said. “This is the first time in the country for a junior miner to
    have paid this much money in taxes.
    “We encourage other mines in PNG to follow this remarkable example set by K92 mine.”
    Meanwhile, Garry also congratulated K92 Mining for being selected by
    the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada to receive the 2021
    Thayer Lindsley Award.
    The award is for the discovery of the Kora North deposit by the company.

    (Toronto, January 26, 2021) Osisko Mining Inc. (OSK:TSX. “Osisko” or the “Corporation”) is pleased to provide new analytical results from the ongoing expansion and definition drill program at its 100% owned Windfall gold project located in the Abitibi greenstone belt, Urban Township, Eeyou Istchee James Bay, Québec.
    Drilling is currently focused on the Lynx deposit. Osisko Chief Executive Officer John Burzynski commented: “Infill drilling at Windfall continues with more good results with respect to grade and width, particularly in the Lynx zones. Both underground and surface drills continue to infill our resources and explore open down plunge areas.”
    The table below contains resource definition infill intercepts located inside the February 2020 mineral resource estimate wireframes (see Osisko news release dated February 19, 2020). Significant new analytical results are presented below and include 63 intercepts in 38 drill holes and 7 wedges.
    Selected high-grade intercepts from the new results include: 108 g/t Au over 10.5 metres in OSK-W-20-2256-W7;21.7 g/t Au over 11.3 metres in OSK-W-20-2271-W3; 76.7 g/t Au over 3.0 metres in OSK-W-20-2377; 30.9 g/t Au over 4.5 metres in OSK-W-20-2292-W4; 35.1 g/ t Au over 2.8 metres in OSK-W-20-2325; and 36.5 g/t Au over 2.1 metres in OSK-W-20-2283-W3.
