Hi Michael. I just got your email saying you’ve been trying to reach me. I did get one email from you and responded on September 30th, but that’s the only email I’ve received. Please email me directly next time atRhylin.bailie@equinoxgold.com. Maybe the IR box is stripping your emails out for some reason.
In any case, please see my email below and let me know if you have any additional questions.
Actually, one update since I sent the email below is that we have finally received a list of their concerns and proposals, which means we finally have the information we need to move into constructive dialogue, which began this week. Fingers crossed!
Best regards,
Rhylin Bailie

Hi Michael. Thanks for your email (and your greetings to lovely Canada!).
We are in regular communication with the community leaders and would like to have constructive dialogue to address their concerns so we can all get back to normal activities, but unfortunately the blockade is still in place.
We’re very disappointed about the situation at Los Filos. We take our environmental, health and safety, and social obligations seriously and meet all regulations and standards at our sites. We pride ourselves on having strong community relationships and bringing long-lasting benefits to our community partners. We hire locally and support local businesses, and also invest in health care, education, sports programs, cultural activities and infrastructure improvements to ensure the mine is bringing tangible long-term benefits to all stakeholders. Los Filos is an important resource for the state and a significant economic driver in the region. We currently employ 1,950 people with approximately 60% of employees and 98% of the unionized workforce coming from local communities, and we support more than 130 local and regional businesses.
The blockade has been set up by a group of people from Carrizalillo, one of the three primary communities from which we draw our workforce. Last year we negotiated land use and community social collaboration agreements with Carrizalillo that are valid until 2025. We believe we are in full compliance with our agreements with Carrizalillo and the other communities near Los Filos. We meet regularly with community leaders to discuss and address concerns and have a formal process in place to investigate concerns and achieve resolution.
We believe dialogue is the best way to resolve disagreements and hope to continue our discussions with Carrizalillo leaders in the spirit of collaboration, working together to find a long-term solution to the benefit of all stakeholders. We believe that having the mine operating is in the best interest of local communities, the mine’s employees, suppliers and contractors, local, state and federal governments and all those who participate in some way in the mine’s value chain. We remain convinced that Los Filos and the Carrizalillo can resolve these issues and regain the trust required to move forward together as partners.
We will provide updates to the market when there is something new to report.
