    Hallo Eldo,

In 6 Monaten 500 Mio. CAD MC futsch....

Laut Unternehmenspräsi wollen sie 2009 75.000 - 80.000 Unzen Gold produzieren. Keine Hedges. Förderkosten? Gloabl resource (M&I inc. reserves) ca. 2,1 Mio. Unzen.

    - 40,813 tons of rock were hoisted from underground operations, of which 30,944 tons were milled as ore producing 10,079 ounces of gold

-Ore grades realized from the South Mine Complex (SMC) for the quarter were 0.43 opt. Since the first ore was mined from this newly discovered area in July 2007, the SMC has produced 23,718 tons at a head grade of 0.60 opt, making it the highest grade zone in production. This trend is expected to continue for the remainder of fiscal 2008 as considerable management time and resources continues to be dedicated to infrastructure development and increasing reserves in this area. Increasing tonnage from multiple faces on multiple zones will be possible following the development of access ramps throughout the SMC which will occur in fiscal 2009, beginning May 1, 2008.

CAD. Keine Verbindlichkeiten.

    - A major capital development program involving substantial ramp, raise and drift development will start in fiscal 2009. These developments will provide access to new high grade ore stopes between the 5000 foot level to 5600 foot level elevations of the South Mine Complex. Compared to the same quarter in fiscal 2007, the number of full time employees has increased 12% from 200 to 224. The Company’s successful training program is a contributing factor to this increase, being effective in attracting and retaining new young talent within the company. In addition to the program, the Company’s improved personnel development processes and employee retention schemes have aided in retaining employees in this highly competitive industry.
The Company had an excellent year in calendar 2007 with regards to safety. There were no lost time accidents on the property (including contractors) and the Company will receive the Angus Campbell Award for Safety on March 19, 2008, which recognises zero frequency for lost time associated with accidents. Management have also achieved a dramatic decrease in medical aid injury frequency. In calendar 2007, medical aid injury frequency decreased by more than half to 1.9, with only 4 medical aid injuries being reported as compared to 4, with 9 injuries being reported for 2006. In recognition of these positive safety results, the Company received a $400,000 worker’s compensation funding rebate during the quarter.

On New South Zone Returns 3.86 Ounces of Gold (132.3 grams)
over 16.0 feet true width and 3.24 Ounces of Gold per Ton (111.1 grams)
over 8.1 feet true width. - Kirkland Lake Gold Inc. (the “Company”) is
pleased to announce an update on diamond drilling in the South Mine
    Complex (SMC). http://www.klgold.com/news_rel…r2008-05-13explupdate.pdf

Der Kurs zieht gut an. MC ca. 500 Mio. CAD.

69% an Dornod: Khan owns approximately 69 per cent of the Dornod uranium project through a combination of its 58-per-cent interest in Central Asian Uranium Company (CAUC), which holds a mining licence for the Main Dornod property, and its 100-per-cent ownership of exploration licence 9282X, in respect of the Additional Dornod property. http://www.khanresources.com/investors/news/071126.pdf

MPRP seeks to keep majority http://www.angus-reid.com/tracker/view/30347/mongolia_2008 . Das Übernahmeangebot an Western läuft bis zum 20. Juni.

    Kingsgate clears major Thai hurdle
    http://www.theaustralian.news.…,23622454-5005200,00.html

"We have been granted forestry licenses, which is one of the last, and
key, approvals, and it is a clear indicator that we are on the home
straight," chief executive officer Gavin Thomas told Dow Jones Newswires in an interview.

    News aus dem aktuellen Quartalsbericht:

    NEW THAI GOVERNMENT
    The Thai
elections were held on 23 December 2007 and a new coalition government
was announced in January 2008, which was fully empowered in late
February 2008. An entirely new cabinet of ministers is now in place.
The new government publicly promotes foreign investment and major new
projects are underway in the infrastructure and oil and gas sector
    since their appointment.

    Discussions
with the Ministry of Industry, the relevant ministerial approval body
for the Chatree North Mine Leases, have been productive and strong
progress has been made on processing the mining lease applications.

    CHATREE NORTH MINING LEASES

All of the necessary Provincial approvals have been forwarded to
relevant departments in Bangkok for final approval. Importantly,
Ministerial approval has been given for all necessary Forestry permits
to allow mining in Forestry areas at Chatree North. With this approval,
the Department of Primary Industries and Mines (DPIM) can complete the
mining lease permitting process prior to the final granting by the
Minister of Industry. The DPIM has commented that they will be
supportive of fast tracking the final issuing of the mining lease
applications with the Forestry approvals in place.

    CHATREE NORTH EXPANSION PROJECT

Detailed engineering is nearing completion by Ausenco on the expanded
processing plant at Chatree. However, the timing of the plant expansion
will be dependent on the timing of the grant of the mining leases. The
planned plant expansion is designed to deliver a production rate of 5
million tonnes per annum of ore treated.

    Initial
site works on the relocation of the process water facilities are
underway to allow early access to the site for the new processing
plant. Detailed planning is underway to construct an underpass under
existing public roads from Chatree North to the processing plant. The
relocation of the main highway to commence the underpass construction
is well advanced and due for completion in May 2008. Once the highway
diversion is completed the underpass can be commenced.

    Due
to the delay in granting the mining leases a revised mine plan is
necessary for Chatree North, given that the prior mine plan initially
involved ore supply from the currently granted mine leases and Chatree
North. As part of this review consideration will be given to adjust the
block model for the larger mining equipment. The mining contractor has
ordered a new mining fleet and this equipment is currently arriving in
Thailand and can be available for use on the new leases over the coming
    months.

VANCOUVER, British Columbia (Reuters) - British Columbia
shut the door on exploring for radioactive minerals on
Thursday, saying companies cannot claim rights to them even if
    the discovery is by accident.

The western Canadian province does not have uranium mines,
but several companies have been doing exploration work and the
mineral can be found when looking for other resources. The
country's only active uranium mines are in the Prairie province
    of Saskatchewan.

British Columbia said has revised its mining rules to
prohibit companies from staking claims for uranium and thorium
even when it is discovered as part of a broader project.

The province has already prohibited the building of nuclear
    power plants.

Uranium near floor after this year's collapse

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/feedarticle?id=7478201

"Most utilities are staying out of the spot market to keep
prices down and impact sentiment in long-term price
negotiations," said fund manager David Coates at CQS New City
    Investment Managers Ltd.

"All the bulls turning bearish and a lack of positives
across a sector is often the bottom of the market," he added.

Dealers said there was a lack of short-term buyers, but
prices could pick up if they stabilised around $65 a pound.

"Buyers are going to come in. There is a rumour that a
couple of producers are short and that they will come into buy,"
    a uranium trader said.

allg. Einschäzung zum Markt von Canaccord vom 09.04.:

How bad is it in the uranium sector these days? Well
just take a quick look at the two year chart of Aurora Energy,
which is one of the more successful uranium exploration
companies, and that tells you all you need to know. The
entire uranium sector was on a heck of a run just a year
ago, as uranium prices over the last few years has risen
from $10.00 to as high as $137.00. In the last year however,
uranium prices have corrected from that high level to currently
    about $70.00 per spot prices.
More importantly is that many projects around the world
have had significant delays in their time tables and some
moratoriums on their projects. Aurora Energy was one of
those, as the Nunatsiavut government in Newfoundland
and Labrador, passed a bill approving a three year moratorium.
Some analysts believe the move doesn’t spell the end of
uranium exploration and mining, but the market obviously
didn’t like it, and Aurora had some projects that were in
fairly advanced stages. The whole uranium industry is interesting
time however, as Australia long in the antinuclear,
anti-uranium column over the past few years has
dramatically changed that stance, and looks like they will
be one of the world’s major suppliers.
On the other hand, countries that you would of thought
that would be quite positive for additional development,
such as Canada and the United States have produced delay
after delay. But, what next for uranium is a pretty good
    question.
Uranium prices have been heading no where but down,
from the peak in uranium prices a year ago when utilities
around the world were concerned about uranium availability
and might be accused of panic buying, which forced
prices to an extreme. But, if so many projects that were
assumed to be coming on schedule over the coming years
    suddenly aren’t…..
The big news today for some uranium stocks was a significant
tidbit out of the United States. Georgia Power said
yesterday that they have reached engineering and construction
deal with Westinghouse Electric for two eleven
hundred mega watt nuclear reactors at the utility’s Vogtle
    plant south of Augusta.
If approved, the plant should come on line about 2016,
and of course it has to pass regulatory approvals. But,
the important tidbit is this could spell the comeback of
nuclear power in the United States, particularly when one
looks at coal prices going through the roof, and the concern
about dependence on foreign oil. Estimates for the
cost of the plant is somewhere between 4 and 8 billion
dollars, and nuclear plants usually have high up front
costs, but low running costs. This is the first plant, if it
goes ahead, to be given the ok in the United States since
the 1970’s, and maybe, maybe the first of many that could
change the perception for the uranium sector which is
gone from in the tank to about as bullish as you can to
right back in the tank. What next?
Meanwhile, back to Aurora, and with the government
decision on the moratorium the broker’s aren’t happy.
Blackmont has moved their targets on Aurora from $15.85
to $10.00. Dundee from $21.00 to $14.00, National Bank
from $11.50 to $5.50, RBC $12.50 to $8.00 and Canaccord
has moved it from speculative buy to a sell.

Kommentar zum FIS/HAT Streit von den Hard Rock Mining Analyst, David and Eric Coffin:

“Fission Energy (FIS-V; off 7 cents on 894K at $1.18)
announced before the open this morning (Thursday) that
Hathor’s Roughrider discovery hole was within 10s of
metres of the claim boundary with Fission’s holdings,
and indicated that subsequent drilling by Hathor is within
a fractional claim recently staked by Hathor but that is
actually within the Fission holdings. Note firstly that Fission
is not saying that the discovery is within its ground,
but rather that some work done by Hathor near the discovery
since then appears to have been done within Fissure’s
    holdings.
Hathor Exploration (HAT-V; off 11 cents on 4.3 mm at
$2.24) has responded to this by stating that it has continued
the work within its own claim boundary, as confirmed
by a third party survey it had done after the discovery,
and that it was that confirmatory survey that lead
HAT to stake a fractional claim between its property and
    Fission’s adjacent Waterbury Lake claims.
At this point we can only lay out some broad brush
notes on process. The original staking was done, in 2004,
by noting the claim-staking details on a series of “claim
posts” cut from local trees and/or erected using timber
brought in for the purpose. Lines would be marked between
the posts, other than where this is not possible
going over a lake (as in this case) or other impassable
terrain, but it is the positioning of the posts that determines
the precise location of the area staked. Where terrain
is impassable, special rules are used to describe
where the posts should be. Location information is plotted
on maps in the claims recording office, but to the
extent there is a difference between the actual position of
posts and the map plotting it would still be the physical
location of the posts that determine the claim boundaries.
The precise location of a claim is finalised by having a survey done of where those posts are, then matching this
information to the staking regulations and with regards to pre-existing claims. When Hathor recently surveyed its
claim a wedge shaped piece of open ground, known as a fraction, was indicated and Hathor has claimed this.
We realise the above may be confusing. This is an old system designed to minimise on-going disputes when compasses
and maps to guide claim staking were rare. We have been involved in this process in a number of other Canadian
jurisdictions, and can say that a dispute about precisely what is owned by who is not unusual within this type of
system. The means to resolve disputes are fairly tried and true. The usual first step is to ask a government official who
keeps track of claims to examine the situation and make a determination. Usually that is the full resolution and everyone
gets on with their business. Court cases are rare since a court would need a very good reason to over-ride an official
who knows the rules in detail. How quickly that process can complete we don’t know, but we hope sooner rather
than later and that it indicates a misunderstanding both sides can live with.”

    http://www.hathor.ca/s/NewsRel…rs-Claim-Status-Is-Secure

aus Canaccords Late Edition: Yesterday we had mentioned that if it wasn’t for Hathor Exploration, the entire sector would be dead or near-dead and now we get this today...It’s a tiny little announcement, but it says all you need to hear as Fission Energy suggests that they, and their joint venture partner KEPCO Consortium takes the position that Hathor Exploration and partner Terra Ventures, are currently drilling on their Company’s Waterbury Lake Property.
Hathor has a very small property, but strategically placed in this hot bed of uranium exploration in Saskatchewan and now they’ve got a border dispute.
I guess anything that’s bad news continues to happen in the uranium game and I suspect we are going to be hearing a lot more about this little border situation.
