Was vor 1986 war ist eigentlich uninteressant.
Aktenkundig ist genug, die hatten hier Nuernberger Verfahren und verurteilten z.B. den Polizei Presidenten Vlock und viele andere die im Gefaengnis sind und die Terroristen und Moerder die man bei Euch Freiheitskaempfer nennt sind nun Politiker.
Was nach 1990 kam zaehlt wo man niemanden die Schuld zuschreiben kann ausser dem ANC seit dem an der Macht ist.
Es wurde alles teurer und viele sagen heute es ging ihnen unter der Apartheid wesentlich besser. Ich fragte einige Schwarze was passiert wenn der Zulu Zuma an die Macht kommt. Die befragten Xhosa's sagten alle es gibt einen grossen Kampf denn einen Zulu als Presidenten will kein Xhosa.
Den Rest kann man sich ausmalen.....Buergerkrieg.
Afrika braucht eine demokratische Diktatur, eine andere verstehen die nie.
Ohne Hilfe und Geld der Weissen sind sie aufgeschmissen.
Also spendet mal und schickt viel Geld nach Afika damit man den Prozess der langsamen Zerstoerung noch laenger rausziehen kann.
Man kann es gleich aus dem Fenster schmeissen, es kommt aufs gleiche raus.

Jetzt sieht es so aus das Land zerfaellt ,es hat mit Apartheid nichts zu tun
da diese seit 16 Jahren abgeschafft ist und wir nun unter einer leben als Weisse.
Tatsache ist das die Mehrheit der Schwarzen einfach unfaehig sind sich selber zu verwalten und daran wird sich nicht viel aendern.
Mir platzt die Hutschnur wenn ich das Wort Apartheid nur hoere genauso wie bei Euch das Wort Holocost das man Euch noch heute unter die Nase reibt.

Nur dass du siehst, dass es nicht unnütz ist was du schreibst, auch ein bisschen "Senf" von mir.
Ich war noch nie in RSA, kenne die Berichte nur aus der Mainstream. Der deutliche Unterschied beeindruck , zumal er von deinen pers. Erfahrungen geprägt ist.
Das Zusammentreffen verschiedener Kulturen erzeugt überall ein Problempotenzial.

The country's top gold producers, AngloGold Ashanti, Gold Fields, and Harmony, suspended production at all their mines. Platinum giants Anglo Platinum and Impala Platinum have also shut down all their South African operations.

All in all, Eskom has asked 138 major industrial users, including mining houses and large factories, to cut production in an effort to cope with the unanticipated magnitude of power shortages.

Wenn auch noch Metorex Strom kriegt, ist´s okay. Lt. Bloomberg hat das nur positive Wirkung auf den Goldpreis.

Ich habe es schon erwaehnt, GFI und AAUK sind heute nach der Strommeldung besonders preiswert.
Eventuell Implats oder Anglo Platinum wer glaubt das Platin in der Hausse bleibt.
Ein politisches Risiko und Zock auf den Rand der sich bezahlt machen kann.
Was anderes empfehle ich nicht, ich habe nur die AAUK und GFI und mehr in Suedamerika und China investiert.
Ich bin zu 6.5% hier investiert mit meiner Immobile, das reicht mir unter diesen Umstaenden.
Wir setzen jetzt alle arbeitslosen auf ein Fahrrad und die treiben einen Dynamo an um Strom zu erzeugen.:D

'Nightmare' now reality at mines

Johannesburg - The "nightmare" of all South Africa's major gold and platinum mines shutting down, because of power cuts, became true on Friday.

"Tens of millions of rands a day are being lost. It's a nightmare," said T-sec chief economist Mike Schussler.
The JSE gold mining sub-sector closed almost 6% lower on Friday.
Chris Hart, Investment Solution economist, said mining was a key industry for the country.
"From that point of view the (power) cuts seem... almost a disaster. "
The Chamber of Mines earlier announced that several gold and platinum mines had to shut down operations because Eskom could not guarantee power supplies on Friday.
Coal supplies that got wet due to the weather formed part of the problem, said senior executive Frans Baker .
Apparently some power stations had also gone down.
'Very dramatic'
Harmony Gold spokesperson Amelia Soares said the company had only run emergency facilities in Friday.
The company would lose R60m from Friday's suspended operations, she said.
Gold Fields spokesperson Willie Jacobsz said the company was losing production of around 7 000 ounces per day because of the shutdown.
The impact of power cuts was "very, very dramatic. It is radical... unprecedented," he said.
AngloGold Ashanti said it had halted mining and gold recovery operations throughout SA.
BHP Billiton SA said its Bayside, Hillside and Mozal aluminium smelters continued to operate although power cuts were occurring at these locations.
The manganese mine at Hotazel was not operational on Friday.
"We have voluntarily reduced load at Metalloys and MMC since Thursday."
Consumers can't solve the problem
The company said its coal mines were continuing to operate. "[We] are doing everything [we] can to ensure coal supply to Eskom."
Trade union Solidarity said platinum company Lonmin had been busy withdrawing its workers from the workplace on Friday.
None of the mining companies had a timeframe of how long the situation was expected to continue.
Gold Fields spokesperson Jacobsz said Eskom had indicated to them that all key industrial consumer (KIC) loads would be reduced to "survival levels" or switched out totally for the next two to four weeks.
Earlier, on Friday, the Democratic Alliance said the shutdown of the mines indicated the electricity crisis was out of control.
"[Government's] fundamental mismanagement of Eskom is now threatening to derail our future economic prospects," said DA minerals and energy spokesperson Hendrik Schmidt.
Freedom Front Plus head Pieter Mulder said the government and Eskom could not expect consumers to solve the problem instead of the suppliers.
"The government's measures will punish consumers with fines, quotas and rationing, while the crisis was largely caused by poor short term planning and maintenance at Eskom."
Rand likely to weaken
Hart said while in some ways, the power crisis was a result of the success of South Africa's previous economic growth, "[Now] we can't progress from what we have achieved".
He said the rand was likely to weaken even more than it already had.
T-sec chief economist Schussler said he had not been approached by so many people for economic advice since September 11.
"My brain is fried. Everyone is up in arms," he said.
"People are very very negative. Negativity in its own right will have an impact on the economy.
"Would you invest in a country whose electricity is not secure? As we lose interest so do foreigners."
Schussler said government needed to spend more time on the power issue that "fighting amongst themselves.
"It's time the blame gets laid on the right people."
Despite numerous efforts, comment from Eskom on the situation could not be obtained.

das hat Eldo schon vor einiger Zeit voraus gesagt. Um so mehr Weiße das Land verlassen, um so mehr wird die Versorgungsindustrie zusammenbrechen.

Wie wollen diese Typen die Fußball-WM in 2010 wuppen. Für einen steigenden Goldpreis ist die Schließung von Minen aber positiv.

Nachdem ich letztes Jahr 3x in SA war (Johannesburg, Kapstadt und Durban) habe ich 100 EUR bei Gamebookers gesetzt, dass die 2010 er Fussbal-WM nicht in SA stattfindet

Ich habe auch einige Wetten das sie nicht stattfindet bei dem Zirkus.
Keine Ahnung fuer was die hier bauen,egal ein paar machen dicke Kohle.
Erstens sind viele Muslims hier die Aerger machen koennen plus fast keine oeffentliche transportmttel und sicherheit ist jetzt schon ein Wahnsinn.
Die Infrastruktur bricht zusammen, Gesetz und Ordnung haben sich bereits verabschiedet.
Das Braindrain hatte schon nach 1994 begonnen und durch die sogenannte affirmative action (neger erst) sind die letzten brauchbaren weissen Mohikaner die noch konnten ins Ausland abgewandert.
Fuer weisse jugendliche ist keine zukunft mehr, sogar der kellner soll schwarz sein.

Schade um das schoene Land, Cape of no hope....die Welt oder Freimaurer wollte diesen Machtwechsel.

Ich bin auf alles gefasst und kann nichts mehr ueberraschen, bald miete ich was in Europa und baue mir ein zweites Standbein auf damit man nicht ins leere springt.
Viele sagen mit Glueck gehts noch 2-3 jahre dann muss man draussen sein.
Sobald die FWM abgesagt wird und Zuma da ist geht die Anarchie los der zum schwarzen Buergerkrieg fuehren kann. Danach kommen wieder welche mit Gehirn und bauen das Land wieder auf, HIV und der Rest beschleunigt die Sache. Die Chinesen sind jetzt schon da und kaufen heimlich wie Gold, die haben Zeit und Geduld.

Den letzten beissen die Hunde, das Licht geht von selber aus.

Viva Afrika....schaut nur was in Kenia los ist, hier kommt es auch so aehnlich bevor es ein zweites Zimbabwe wird.

'Women trade sex for biscuits'

Geneva - Sexual violence has soared in Kenya amid the country's ethnic clashes and political turmoil, with young women in refugee camps particularly vulnerable to rape and prostitution, the United Nations children's fund said on Friday.

Unicef deplored the "tragedy of girls and women in the informal camps who trade sex for biscuits, protection, transportation, or are raped while trying to get to a latrine during the night," spokesperson Veronique Taveau told journalists.

The Gender Violence Recovery Centre in the port city of Mombasa has reported that cases of sexual violence have doubled since last month's presidential elections, especially gang rapes of young girls and boys.

"There is a very high risk of the HIV/Aids virus spreading" as many of the victims do not report the attacks, Taveau said.
Seven people were killed in clashes in western Kenyan, police said on Friday, as former UN chief Kofi Annan pressed for dialogue between the country's feuding leaders.

About 800 people have been killed in total and a quarter of a million forced to flee their homes after the December 27 presidential polls sparked bloody clashes between supporters of President Mwai Kibaki and opposition leader Raila Odinga.

Du hast gestern irgendwo hier gemeint, Goldfields könne man (trotz der SA-Misere) noch halten. Gestern kam im Radio ein Bericht, wonach die Eskom "Strom-Rationierungen bis 2012" ausgeht (Zitat eines Eskom-Sprechers)! Wenn das so kommt, werden temporäre Minenstillstände in SA (auch bei GFI) unvermeidlich sein und ganz regelmäßig auftreten. Wie soll GFI denn da profitabel arbeiten (selbst bei POG >1000)? Ich kann mir unter ANC-regime kein Szenario vorstellen, nach dem die Minen ausreichend Strom bekommen - in den Townships, Johannesburg oder sogar Kapstadt dagegen den Menschen KEIN Strom zugeteilt würde. Das gäbe doch einen Volksaufstand. Daher (meine Frage als Aktionär von GFI): Wie siehst Du (Ihr) dieses Problem konkret auf GFI bezogen?

Pauli im Grunde genommen hast du Recht, darum Minen die weltweit diversifiziert sind.
GFI ist glaube zu 40% im Ausland, eine Goldaktie die nur hier vertreten ist ein hohes Risiko denn fueher oder spaeter kommt ein Volksaufstand. Jetzt eine GFI kaufen und hoffen das der Rand tief faellt mit oder ohne Strom koennte sich bezahlt machen. Danach aussteigen und Gewinnmitnahmen, good bye RSA, es hat mich sehr gefreut. Bis 2012 gibt es die Powercuts da sie mit Neubau von Kraftwerken so lange brauchen. Der Hammer ist das 20% vom Strom nach Zimbabwe und den anderen Nachbarlaendern geliefert wird und nicht mal bezahlt wird.
Einen Freund wie Mugabe in Zimbabwe kann man jetzt nicht im Stich lassen, verstehst ?
Und uns sagen sie wir sollen 20% einsparen und kommen mit Preiserhoehungen um das ganze wieder auszugleichen.
Gut ist das die Welt langsam sieht was hier wirklich los ist, nicht nur die Bilder vom Tafelberg und Kruger National Park und ein paar Zulu's die einen was vortanzen zur guten Erinnerung an die RSA Reise. IMO sobald die RSA Minen wieder (kurz):D Strom haben steigen die wieder um 10% an wenn diese news kommt.
Was meinst du was erst im Winter (Juni-Oktober) los ist wenn man die Heiizung aufdreht,mir Wurst ich bin wahrscheinlich im Ausland in der Zeit.
Der ANC hat in jeder Richtung versagt, IMO es wird noch schlimmer werden.
Die Fuehrungspitze hat sich die Taschen gefuellt und wandern wahrscheinlich auch aus wo es Strom gibt, in die Schweiz z.B.

Mine blackout: No end in sight

Johannesburg - Gold and platinum mines in South Africa could remain closed until well into this week while industry and government discussed ways of reducing power, the minerals and energy department (DME) said.

This follows a meeting between the mining industry, labour representatives and government ministers on Saturday in which a "joint industry and government task team was formed" to tackle the severe energy crisis.
On January 25, it emerged that Eskom, the South African energy utility, had told mining bosses it could not guarantee the supply of electricity. Mining firms were effectively forced to stop mining, mostly on the grounds of safety.
The task team will meet again on Sunday January 27, but a further meeting, this time involving all industry deemed heavy power consumers, has been scheduled for Tuesday, 29 January. It's only at this meeting that a schedule for reopening mines might be agreed, said Bontle Mafuna, spokesperson for the DME.
"It could be sooner, but it's likely that only from Tuesday will the industry know when they can start mining again," said Mafuna.
This comes following almost four weeks of rolling blackouts by Eskom throughout South Africa as it struggles to supply power amid refurbishment of old facilities and bad weather which has interrupted the supply of coal to the power stations.
The effect has been to harm business and dent South Africa's reputation as an attractive investment destination. Government said industry had to seriously reduce its energy consumption as Eskom's lack of reserve capacity had become a "national emergency".
Harmony Gold estimated that it would lose R60m a day in lost revenue while its mines remained idle; make that R300m by Tuesday. The opportunity losses for Gold Fields and AngloGold Ashanti, which produce more gold, would be heavier.
However, the DME said in a statement that government had agreed mines should have power to prepare for the resumption of mining: "The ministers also agreed to an industry request that there would be sufficient power supply to enable employees to continue with essential underground operations, particularly in deep level gold mines, to ensure the safety of the workplace for mineworkers."
'Constructive'
Roger Baxter, a senior economist for the Chamber of Mines of South Africa described the meeting today as "very constructive". He said a lot more guidance would be provided to the industry at Sunday's meeting. "I wouldn't want to comment any more than that," he said.
There were a series of announcements by mining companies late on January 25 as one after another said it would not be sending teams underground. These included Anglo Platinum, AngloGold, Northam Platinum, Impala Platinum, Harmony and Gold Fields. BHP Billiton had stopped mining at its ferroalloy mines but its smelters, that cannot afford to stop operating for more than three hours, were keeping going.
The outcome was heavy losses for mining companies with heavy exposure to South Africa including Gold Fields (down 8.5%), Harmony (-7.3%) and Kumba Iron Ore (-5.9%).
