YUKON Gold Rush

Der Yukonsräd ist momentan etwas verwaist, weil doch die meisten von uns aus Explorern herausgegangen sind. Und Kaminak Gold / KAM wird in eigenem Sräd behandelt.

Hier der Premier Yukons im Interview mit TGR mit hoher Ambition und Besprechung einiger Minen. Er hebt v. a.die Bedeutung des Rohstoffsektors, sehr positive Genehmigungsfreundlichkeit und gute Infrastruktur hervor.

"The Gold Report: The Yukon is ranked first in mineral potential and ninth overall in the recent ranking of global mining jurisdictions in the Fraser Institute's 2015 Annual Survey of Mining Companies. Is that good enough? What are some of your mining-related goals for the Yukon?...

Darrell Pasloski:...Our mineral endowment certainly is world class and the opportunities as a world-class jurisdiction for mining exploration and development will make us a future leader in the mining sector. There are more than 2,700 existing mineral occurrences in Yukon but these cover only about 12% of the land, so that leaves vast potential for current and future explorers...

Historically, mining has accounted for about 20% of Yukon's GDP. Mining is the cornerstone of the Yukon economy. ..."

Der Premier im Interview mit KITCO. Er zitiert das Fraser Institut, nach dem Yukon das höchste Minenpotential in der Welt habe.
Sein Schwerpunkt wird sein, in die Infrastruktur zu investieren, um künftige Minenprojekte in der Region zu entwickeln.
Dieser Hinweis ist bedeutsam, weil die Infrastrukur einen großen Anteil der Investionslosten der entlegenen Projekte ausmacht

Einige Projekte stellte der Premier heraus: Victoria Gold und Western Copper & Gold’s Casino Projekt.
Letzteres wie einige andere, zB. Kaminak und Wellgreen mit eigenem Thread.

Der Minister für Energie, Minen und Resourcen Scott Kent geht nochausführlicher auf die Bedeutung und Förderung des Bergbaus im Yukon ein, er erwähnt auch die vom Premier genannten Projekte.

Der Yukon soll entwickelt werden zur Weltklasse Minenregion, Strassen und Energieversorung öffentlich gefördert.

“Our strategy will harmonize all the legislation and make the regulator process easier. But it is more than just legislation, the strategy looks at infrastructure, incentives and public education.”

“Mining is in our DNA.....“ he said.

Kent noted that there is a lot of potential in the Yukon with companies like Victoria Gold with its fully permitted Eagle Gold project as well as Kaminack Gold’s Coffee Project, which is making headlines across the investment community. He also highlighted Western Copper and Gold’s major Casino project and Wellgreen Platinum, which is exploring what could be the biggest platinum deposit outside of South Africa....

However, he added there are still some challenges as the Canadian territory continues to develop as a word-class mining region. One of those challenges is infrastructure. Kent added that through their mineral strategy, they are hoping to tap into federal funding to help develop roads and enhance its power grid....“

Die Übernahme von Kaminak durch Goldcorp regt das Interesse zu weiteren Kandidaten an.

Victoria Gold, Golden Predator und ATAC wurden hier schon früher im Thread besprochen, waren auch schon im eigenen Depot.

Das verbessert ausserordentlich die Situation der dortigen Minen und Minenprojekte, u.a. die hier bekannteren Western Copper, Kaminak / Goldcorp und andere...

Funding of the YRGP is envisioned to run through 2024/25 and would be a partnership between Canada, Yukon, and industry with each sharing costs, risks, and benefits.“

Ist sicherlich interessant wie mehr oder weniger alle Yukonaktien. Ein Blick in die Präsentation brachte nichts Aussergewöhnliches.
Steht nicht auf der WL, nicht im Fokus.

Habe mit ATAC / ATC, Golden Predator / GPY und White Gold / WGO sowie glgtl. Western Copper / WRN reichlich Yukon im Depot.

Gwen Preston aka Resource Maven mit einem neuerlichen Besuchsbericht im Yukon mit einer guten Zusammenfassung aktueller Aktivitäten, u.a. schöne Tabelle der Beteiligungen der Seniors.

"Yukon has zinc, lead, barite, lithium, platinum, palladium, nickel, cobalt, copper, gold, silver, and probably a whack more minerals I haven’t yet realized are there. It’s a rich, rich place. It’s rugged, for sure. It gets ridiculously cold in the winter (the motivation for the Sourtoe Cocktail is that it is the quick way to become a Yukoner; the only other way is to spend four seasons in the territory…and most would rather have a desiccated toe in their whiskey!)....

I think those dollars will find some success. Yukon went through its first round of the modern gold rush in 2011 and 2012, when retail dollars flooded into the territory following Underworld Resources’ White Gold discovery (that Kinross quickly bought).

Suddenly everyone and their uncle was drilling a gold-in-soil anomaly in Yukon. Most of those efforts produced nothing but failed drill holes and worthless share certificates. The hope is that the experience taught some lessons, which the majors are now heeding as they stampede in....“
