Don't you understand it is over.

The likelihood the Supreme Court will hear the judgement is almost zero (generally the chances the SCC grants leave to appeal is very low and it the decision was a unanimous decision (I dont know that it was as I havent seen it yet) the chances decline hugely).
The possiblity of going to Argentina to sue must have been discussed and discounted in the past.
Presumably the Canadian courts have jurisdiction where the parent companies are incorporated and would just order the parents companies to hand over the Navidad assets or to transfer them to a subsidiary which would then be handed over to AQI.
If you read the earlier judgements it seemed to indicate that Grosso was less than forthcoming and honest in his dealings. I hope that he gets punished for this.
Feel bad for the longs - hope the company finds another successful avenue to invest their cash reserves.
Further appeal in my mind is just to make Grosso seem on the up and up and will make the lawyers richer and shareholders worse off.

Fuel crisis looms in Gauteng
2007-6-8 10:18
Johannesburg - Gauteng, which accounts for 60% of South Africa's fuel consumption, would be short of 5 billion litres of fuel in 2010, Sipho Maseko, chief operating officer and chief executive designate of BP Africa, has said.
Business Report said on Friday that the province did not have sufficient capacity to move imported product from the coast and this would put the soccer World Cup and economic growth at risk.
According to the report in the business daily, Maseko said that since 2005, demand had exceeded production capacity and South Africa had been a net importer of refined fuel since 2006.
"It is going to get worse," he said at the mid-year conference of the SA Chamber of Business.
Maseko said the Durban port handled four tankers a week offloading refined fuel, which was already stretching its capacity.

The extremely secretive Illuminati Group from Old Europe had their meeting in the last week of May at the upscale Ritz Carlton Hotel in Istanbul Turkey. Riot police and rooftop snipers kept plebeians from interfering with the collectivist supranational bankers and globalist imperial advocates in attendance who are making decisions on world organization and rule, all without a vote by the rest of the eight billion inhabitants or their representatives. The meeting details were provided indirectly by Jim Tucker, who has inside moles supplying information. The meeting instituted some new agreements which affect anyone who either chooses or is permitted to continue breathing. Worldwide implementation of a 10% gasoline tax will be imposed, used to fund their efforts. A preemptive claim has been made to give the United Nations control over the world oceans. An ongoing gnarly issue for this cabal is the USGovt leadership of the World Bank, a sore point by Europeans. At dispute is control over pharmaceutical drug distribution to over 73 Third World nations, the motives being unclear.
Joseph Goebbels has nothing on US Treasury Secy Hank Paulson, the Herman Munster lookalike all dressed up who expertly state the Wall Street case. Goebbels was the Minister of Information for the Nazis under Hitler. If these words do not put a chill down your spine, in an Orwellian tone, then you are missing something big. The vital topic cited is TRUST. We have come to see almost every single major economic statistic as falsified, most financial markets interfered, cozy insider agendas exploited, and regulatory bodies sitting on their hands. Paulson actually has spoken about the key test of accurate financial reporting as being trust, and defends it without blinking.... more

Fasten your seatbelts time, die allgemeine Stimmung ist schon schlecht.

Liegen lassen oder cut your loss and sell, its up to you now.

The Gold Community: Battle Tested and War Weary
The grueling push towards $700 Gold
D. Stewart Armstrong
June 6, 2007
The price of gold today is about $668. We are looking for a path towards $700 gold.
Moment by moment, dollar by dollar, fiat currency by fiat currency, we battle our way through the mob of miscreants, plethora of pirates, bushwhacking bureaucrats, petty politicians, and a myriad of do-gooders in order to find our way to that magic mark and beyond. But wait—is $700 gold an abstract concept, much as $1500 gold will be? Must we repeatedly learn the same lessons? It is the rationale behind this great bull market that we must understand. That rationale hasn’t changed in 5000 years of recorded history. I believe that Mr. Orlandini stated the case for that rationale well in his recent article on these Café pages. So on we go.
One of the most famous lines from Clint Eastwood’s Dirty Harry, is “do you feel lucky, punk—well do you?” I believe he had just pulled out a .357 magnum and the “punk” just wasn’t feeling all that lucky.
The gold and precious metals markets are making investors in those markets feel just as “unlucky”.

The participants coming from the long side are also suffering battle fatigue and yes, they are weary. The gold cartel has been pulling out its own version of the .357 magnum and quite a few gold investors are running for the hills. Is this fleeing good for their fleecing? In other words is it a good or bad idea for gold bulls to be running for the hills and ultimately getting fleeced? I think it’s a bad idea, but hey, that’s just me! I don’t want to be a “punk” because I know full well the gold cartel has the equivalent of its own .357 magnum but one of these days when they go to pull the trigger, a little flag is going to pop out that says “bang”! That ladies and gentlemen, is where we’re headed.
I also am beginning to believe with a more intense degree of certainly and clarity that there will be neither a “get out of jail free” pass nor will there be any instances of one entity monopolizing the global gold monopoly board en perpetuity. One of these days, we might see gold break away and shatter its old highs.
You can fool some of the people some of the time, and some of the people all of the time; but you cannot fool all of the people all of the time. What America needs now, as much as any one single factor, is transparency.
What we all need is patience. Patience is something I’ve been preaching for six years now. First of all, that’s a long time to be preaching. Secondly, to date many of us have been well rewarded for that patience and the best is yet to come. There is still plenty of time. There seems to be some national sentiment that patience is just down right un-American!
A brilliant piece by Enrico Orlandini posted here at the Café
If you’re a gold bull and don’t subscribe to http://www.lemetropolecafe.com, you are missing out—pure and simple. A good example of what you would be missing is Enrico Orlandini’s piece titled Gold: Where to Now? Find Mr. Orlandini at http://www.dowtheoryanalysis.com . So with Enrico’s permission, he is basically stating that we are in the second stage of a bull market in gold—perhaps even the early part of the second stage. The second stage can last for up to six years. After that we get to the famed “blowoff stage” when your auto mechanic and your local baker will be giving you tips on gold stocks.
This is all fine and good but what caught my eye is that Mr. Orlandini gave the reasons we are in a gold bull market in very simple succinct language. He states that no (fiat) currency in the world is backed by anything other than a “promise to pay” (I personally call this the IOU nothing syndrome) and that those same countries have their printing presses running virtually 24/7. This is because, and I quote, “All the world’s major economies are engaged in a printing war in an effort to have the cheapest currency. A cheap currency leads to cheap prices for exports.” End Quote. I’ve stated in the past the world’s largest economies are in a rush to see who can get to the basement first by trashing their currency. Once again we must stress, cheap currency means cheap exports.
The real problem remains, be careful for what you wish. This is a dual edged sword because at some point in the future, those debased currencies may well lose the con-fidence of those they wish to honor that currency. Other countries would be an excellent example. Soon it becomes a universal multilateral con game. Currently the world is involved in a con game and the pawns in that game are the citizens who have to go along with the ruse whether they like it or not. Even those that would like to change the system because they can observe the systemic flaws are powerless to do so.
How does one protect oneself? Gold, Silver, and Patience.
I realize that the gloom in the gold community is so thick you can’t see ten feet in front of you; a bit like 3 AM London at the docks. But are you in this for the short term or the long term? The long term requires patience.
Many a fortune has been lost by throwing in the towel at exactly the wrong time. Don’t let yours be one of them.
Gold Investors are Battle Tested
Look, we always have to keep things in perspective. Like it or not, the geopolitical realm affects just about every aspect of our daily lives. It affects gold.
Is the geopolitical realm and how the US interacts with the rest of the world better or worse than it was six months ago? That is akin to saying are you “better or worse” than you were four years ago”? Is the US economy better or worse than it was six months ago? What about the housing sector? What about gasoline and oil. What about the status of the US dollar? Once again, we must all realize that we live in a world of spin, semi-truths, and misinformation.
Those of us who have been in the trenches for this past seven years or so are wondering when will the big “payday” come. First of all, we each need to determine what level of “payday” we are seeking.
I think Bill Murphy has mentioned that his sentiment indicator is lower at $650 gold than it was at $350 gold. That can be discouraging to say the least. We have to realize the markets can stay irrational much longer than we can stay liquid. Besides that, many of you have had big paydays and are looking for bigger ones. And so it goes.
Hold On!
Once we get through $700 gold, and we will get through it, all of these quality junior mining companies in such disfavor now will appreciate rapidly later on. If you’re contemplating waiting until the last minute before jumping in or getting back in, I must remind you that invariably the market is quicker than you are.
In conclusion remember that your patience will pay off handsomely. Even though many of you are weary of the turmoil and short term machinations of this gold bull market, remember that if you act wisely and not react to the maddening crowds (and pundits) you will be rewarded handsomely.
We are in a long term bull market in the precious metals. Be patient, be circumspect, and be careful.

Until Next Time,
D. Stewart Armstrong

Mal schaun

Crime down, Selebi tells CNN

2007-6-8 09:02
Johannesburg - Minutes after telling a CNN journalist that crime in South Africa was on the decline, national Police Commissioner Jackie Selebi told local reporters he couldn't give them any information on the country's crime statistics.

He told a CNN journalist who had asked him about the recent high level of crime in South Africa: "There's been a percentage decrease."

By contrast, while Selebi was being interviewed by CNN, the Minister of Safety and Security Charles Nqakula told the local reporters that the number of house robberies and hijackings had increased.
"We're facing a problem there," he said.
The annual crime statistics for 2006-2007 are due to be released at the end of the month.

Selebi told the local media to wait until then if they wanted to know anything about the statistics.
"It will be a true reflection of crime in this country," was all that he would say.
Scorpions
Selebi was visibly upset when a journalist questioned him about allegations that the Scorpions were investigating him.
"Get out of my way. Go and ask them (the Scorpions)," he fumed.

Nqakula, when asked the same question, said he had "unshakable faith" in Selebi's innocence.
He said earlier than anyone with evidence should come forward and have it investigated. According to him, no one had yet approached him with any evidence.
Nqakula said there was no truth in the allegation that the Scorpions had raided Selebi's office.
"I don't know of any raids. There weren't any raids. That's not true.
"There is also not an inquiry. I would have known about it. He (Selebi) would also have known about it," he said.
Beeld
All but one of Chris Hani-Baragwanath hospital's intensive care unit patients have been transferred to private hospitals, Gauteng health spokesperson Zanele Mngadi said on Saturday.
...About 70% of the cases handled in the emergency departments are trauma-related, specifically motor vehicle accidents and assaults, with on average 160 gunshot victims a month.

The AM Fix this morning was $670.85 … gold was ready to fly before the Nazi-like cabal henchmen showed up for work.

The bums in action early ... same time ... same drill... (666)
There have to be times when you must be sick of my rant, and other times which you probably wish I would articulate my disgust with the US financial market scam scene even more.
Either way there is little more to talk about today except to point out to you the obvious pitiful machinations of the Exchange Stabilization Fund, Working Group on Financial Markets, and Gold Cartel. They are an embarrassment …
*The yield on the pivotal 10 yr T note blows out to 5.09%.
*Crude oil blows through its recent high, rising $1.50 per barrel.
Yet, gold is NOT ALLOWED to rally, to give credence to the coming and inevitable nightmare US market scenario. This is really sick! The elitist market manipulators continue to take away the most obvious financial market barometer in the world to the average person, and prevent him or her from taking prudent measures to protect their financial well being.
Is there not one person in the gold pundit/reporter world that is willing to call a spade a spade? They only need to have the IQ of a grapefruit to understand what is going on here re gold. The gold open interest yesterday went up an astounding 15,593 contracts to 400,679, as investors want to own gold because of the zillion fundamental reasons to do so … Gold Cartel crowd stuffs the price to show them who is boss … promoting more lies that US inflation is not really that bad.
Let me take a deep breath and hand the ball off:
Bill,
The PPT and Cartel were so adroitly keeping a lot of plates in the air, but it seems to me one or more have them have just been dropped. The 10 Year Note rate has just blown clear out of a 20 year down trend, oil just jumped over $1, gold has been hammered continuously over the last few weeks but it won’t go down despite huge dishoarding of physical metal, dollar pegs are being dropped, and the LME is changing its rules in a vain attempt to eek out dwindling inventories of nickel. It appears that the scam is coming unglued quite rapidly.
Cheers
Adrian
From Trader Dan on Sinclairs Site:
Technically, the gold chart looks pitiful right now with today’s collapse and that is putting it mildly. About the best the bulls can now hope for would be a test of $660 to see if that will uncover new buying. If it holds, then the range trade could resurface as gold gathers its footing. If not, $650 would be the next logical target especially if bond prices continue their freefall. Judging from open interest numbers and volume stats, funds are adding plenty of new shorts since the breach of moving average support at both the 10 day and 20 day moving averages has turned their magic boxes bearish. Whether or not that is a wise decision will shortly be found out. Spreaders are also piling back in droves after having made a massive exodus last week.
It looks like it is time once again for caution in gold.
