  • Canada Silver Cobalt Prepares Battery Metals Business for Monetization

Aimed at surfacing value for the Company’s battery metals assets while continuing to focus on world-class precious metals properties

Coquitlam, BC - TheNewswire - November 9, 2021 - Canada Silver Cobalt Works Inc. (TSXV:CCW) (OTC:CCWOF) (Frankfurt:4T9B) (the "Company" or "Canada Silver Cobalt") is pleased to announce that it has established a separate subsidiary for its battery metals business to be named Coniagas Battery Metals Inc. The new subsidiary will own the nickel-copper-cobalt exploration properties that the Company is currently exploring in northern Quebec and Ontario as well as the proprietary ‘Green’ Re-2Ox processing technology that is able to produce cobalt, nickel and copper sulphates for electric vehicle battery manufacturers.

“While the Company’s main focus continues to be our world-class high-grade silver deposit at Castle East with exploration drilling, environmental permitting, and a major resource update scheduled for Q1 2022 as outlined in a recent corporate update (November 1, 2021 news release), we are also taking additional steps along the path we had outlined previously towards surfacing value for our battery metals assets. The establishment of this new subsidiary will pave the way for an eventual spin-out of our battery metals business into a separate publicly traded company for the benefit of our shareholders,” stated CEO Frank Basa. (See news releases February 16 and July 22, 2021)

Matt Halliday, President, COO and VP Exploration, states: “Right now there is a lot of interest in battery metals and we think the best way forward to give our assets a higher level of visibility, and for achieving a proper valuation in the market, would be to split the Company into two parts – one focused on the exceptional Castle East silver discovery as well as the Kirkland Lake-area gold properties we recently acquired, and the other tasked with advancing our battery metals exploration properties and the Re-2Ox technology.”

    Battery Metals Assets

Coniagas Battery Metals Inc. will include the Re-2Ox processing technology and 39,200 total hectares of prospective nickel-copper-cobalt exploration properties in northern Quebec (15 properties) and Ontario (one property east of the Sudbury Basin nickel deposits). Preliminary exploration is underway at the Quebec properties. (News releases February 16, April 20 and July 22, 2021).

Re-2Ox is a proprietary, environmentally friendly, closed-loop, hydrometallurgical process for the extraction of cobalt, nickel and other base metals from primary feeds (mined material) and secondary feeds (recycled battery black mass) and the subsequent production of cobalt, nickel and other sulphates needed in the battery industry. The process meets strict environmental standards because it does not involve smelting (or burning) that many other processes use and it has no discharge.

The Re-2Ox process has demonstrated that it is the only globally known hydrometallurgical process that can process high-arsenic feeds and recover and produce battery metals that meet Asian specifications for the electrical vehicle (EV) market. In bench scale testing at SGS Lakefield, it successfully produced cobalt sulfate for the battery market, and sodium arsenate as an intermediate product, from a high-grade silver-cobalt-arsenic gravity concentrate obtained from the past-producing silver-cobalt Castle mine. Cobalt, nickel and manganese recoveries from the concentrate using Re-2Ox were 99%, 81% and 84%, respectively, while 99% of the arsenic was also removed, which is important for complying with battery industry specifications. In addition to cobalt, arsenic is also on the US Critical Minerals List as it is an important ingredient in different products including pharmaceuticals, wood preservatives and industrial applications such as semiconductors.

Additional Re-2Ox testing for the design of a pilot plant is currently underway at the SGS Lakefield laboratories in Ontario. (For more information on Re-2Ox, see news releases May 31 and August 15, 2018 and January 15 and March 1, 2021, and also the Re-2Ox flow sheet and other details in the company’s corporate presentation at www.canadasilvercobaltworks.com and at www.re-2ox.com.)

  • Canada Silver Cobalt has Commenced Drilling at the Nickel-Copper Graal Property in Northern Quebec

Coquitlam, BC - TheNewswire - November 15, 2021 - Canada Silver Cobalt Works Inc. (TSXV:CCW) (OTC:CCWOF) (Frankfurt: 4T9B) (the "Company" or "Canada Silver Cobalt") is pleased to announce that a 3,000-meter drill program has begun with two drills turning at its Graal-Nourricier-Lac Suzanne property in the Lac St-Jean region of Quebec.

The drill program is part of the Company’s early-stage exploration activities in northern Québec where it is evaluating 15 properties on 689 claims covering 38,129.4 hectares that are prospective for battery metals nickel, copper, and cobalt (See February 16, April 21 and July 22, 2021 news releases). The drill program is currently being managed by Laurentia Exploration in association with GoldMinds Geoservices Inc.

The Company has existing drill permits for most of the proposed drill hole set-ups, which will allow testing of the Bouguer (geophysical) anomalies contained within the Graal-Nourricier-Lac Suzanne property. This promising anomaly has not been fully explored. It is one of the five properties included in the Company’s geophysical airborne surveys conducted earlier this year and it is regarded as geologically one of the most promising in the short term. The detailed airborne gravity survey of five properties conducted earlier this year by Sander Geophysics Ltd. to enable identification of the highest Bouguer Anomaly of the anorthositic complex confirmed that the highest potential target area is on Graal property.

The Company is seeking to identify significant amounts of nickel-copper-sulphide mineralization at the base of the magmatic chamber. Historic drill results indicate mineralization on the side of the magmatic reservoir and it is theorized that the massive sulphide cumulates are potentially hidden at depth. The drill program aims to intersect deep targets and as well the rim contact at shallower depth.

Additionally, the Company has hired the professional services of Archéo-Mamu Côte-Nord to carry out a study on potential archeological sites in the area.

Coquitlam, BC - TheNewswire - November 24, 2021 - Canada Silver Cobalt Works Inc. (TSXV:CCW) (OTC:CCWOF) (Frankfurt: 4T9B) (the "Company" or "Canada Silver Cobalt") is pleased to announce that it has intercepted massive sulphides containing nickel and copper at its Graal property in the Lac St-Jean region of Quebec. The mineralization has been verified with a handheld XRF device with point data taken on the sulphides ranging up to 2.79% Ni and 25.68% Cu.
The XRF results confirm the existence of strong nickel-copper-sulphide mineralization that corresponds to the Bouguer anomaly identified using airborne gravity geophysical survey conducted earlier this year. Drilling to follow up this newly discovered mineralization is underway. The samples were sent to ALS labs located in Val d’Or for sample preparation and will be forwarded to a separate lab for a four-acid digest multi-element suite including nickel and copper as well as a fire assay for platinum and palladium.
The ongoing drill program has now been increased from 3000 to 5000 meters and is part of the Company’s early-stage exploration activities in northern Québec where it is evaluating 15 properties on 689 claims covering 38,129.4 hectares that are prospective for battery metals such as nickel, copper, and cobalt (See February 16, April 21, July 22, and November 15, 2021 news releases). The drill program is currently being managed by Laurentia Exploration in association with GoldMinds Geoservices Inc.
Frank J. Basa, P.Eng., President and CEO commented, “These are excellent XRF results for this early-stage drill program in Northern Quebec and complement our cobalt and nickel results from the ground held in the Cobalt/Gowganda camp in Northern Ontario. Both districts are in low-risk jurisdictions to supply battery metals into the emerging North American battery market. This will position the recently announced Coniagas Battery Metals spinout with primary feed for our proprietary Re-2Ox processing technology for the production of battery metals.”.
"I believe this is a turning point for Canada Silver Cobalt Works as an exploration company. These preliminary XRF results are extremely encouraging and while the assays are still pending, it fortifies our interest in the area. As we continue to expand our operations, it is important that we maintain a healthy pipeline of high-potential targets that pertain to our long-term strategic vision. Continuing to build successful relationships is also key to this success, much like the recently acquired Chute-des-Passes claims that are adjacent to our Graal property,” says Matt Halliday, President, COO and VP Exploration.

  • Re-20x Process Extracts 99 Percent of Rubidium from Granada Gold Mine's Battery Metals Zone

    [Blockierte Grafik: https://www.thenewswire.com/data/tnw/clients/logos/1BglFqVnZ.png]

Stage I bench-scale testing has been completed at SGS Lakefield using the Re-2Ox process for the recovery of performance-enhancing battery metal Rubidium from Granada Gold Mine’s drill core. Test work was funded and supervised by Canada Silver Cobalt Works.

Coquitlam, BC - TheNewswire - January 11, 2022 - Canada Silver Cobalt Works Inc. (TSXV:CCW)(OTC:CCWOF) (Frankfurt:4T9B) (Canada Silver Cobalt or the Company) and Granada Gold Mine Inc. (TSXV:GGM) (OTC:GBBFF) (Frankfurt:B6D) are pleased to announce positive bench-scale leach test results achieving 99 percent extraction of the contained alkali metal rubidium from drill core sourced from the recently discovered EV battery metals zone at the Granada Gold deposit in northwestern Quebec.
    Highlights:

    • SGS bench scale test-work achieves leach extraction of 99% rubidium
    • Project economics are enhanced by having gold bullion as a primary metal recovery and rubidium carbonate as a secondary by-product metal recovery
    • The company is now positioned to use the Re-2Ox Process to accept additional feeds for evaluation under a toll processing arrangement

Canada Silver Cobalt Works CEO Frank J. Basa, P.Eng., states: “To successfully leach rubidium from the mineralized material is a major accomplishment for the Re-2Ox process. It demonstrates its flexibility in treating other feeds using the same chemicals and process equipment that we used to produce base metal EV salts.”
“The company plans to reintegrate the precious metal leaching stage into the Re-2Ox process thereby making the process more viable. This precious metal production will permit the production of EV battery salts by-products at low or no cost. The Company will be working closely with Granada Gold Mine Inc. in the coming months to use the Re-2Ox process to further develop the potential market and economics for the rubidium carbonate salts that would meet the EV battery metals market sourcing needs.” Basa continued.
Canada Silver Cobalt aims to supply high-value metals to the electric vehicle (EV) battery market using the Re-2Ox process. With its 100-percent ownership of property holdings in safe jurisdictions containing cobalt, nickel, copper, silver and gold, it is secure in meeting the demands of the global EV battery market. As a consequence of the encouraging results in leaching rubidium, the company is now actively looking for other feeds to evaluate for processing that it does not own but can toll process using the Re-2Ox process.
    ...

  • Discovery at Granada:
The recent discovery of a potentially large, low-grade alkali and rare earth mineralized zone at Granada Gold Mine meets the Company criteria. With the addition of rubidium carbonate salt to the electrolyte, battery performance in both lithium-ion and sodium-ion EV batteries improves in charging rates and cyclability.
The EV battery metals zone consists of several alkali and rare earth metals discovered near surface and at depth in early 2021 during a 30,000-meter infill drilling program on the northern section of the Big Claim at the Granada Gold Mine property. Two drill holes, separated by 1600 meters, were tested and assayed. The deepest hole, drilled to a depth of 1626 meters, intersected 21 distinct mineralized zones varying in width from 2.8 to 177 meters. The best grade, over a wide width, for rubidium was 340 grams per tonne over 53 meters. Current pricing for rubidium carbonate salt is about 1.00 US dollar per gram. As this EV metal mineralized zone sits stratigraphically on top of the Gold mineralized zone, it may be mined to produce gold bullion as a primary recoverable metal with a rubidium carbonate salt as a by-product there-by significantly increasing the value and economics of the property.
    Leach Test:
Drill core from the EV battery metals discovery zone, from the northern part of the Big Claim at Granada Gold Mine, was used for the test work at SGS Canada. The core was crushed and ground to 80 percent passing 200 mesh, followed by a conventional flotation process to remove pyrite. Pyrite removal minimizes chemical consumption during the Re-2Ox leaching process. Multiple bench-scale tests were undertaken to optimize leach extraction, achieving 99 percent of contained rubidium metal, by varying leach time, chemical concentrations, and temperatures.
Reintegration of the Precious Metals Leaching Stage into Re-2Ox Process:
The company decided to reintegrate the precious metal stage into the Re-2Ox process as the primary pay metal and produce EV by-product metals at zero or low cost. This approach de-risks project economics due to massive price swings of EV battery metals.
    Rubidium in EV batteries:
Rubidium carbonate salts are commonly used in EV lithium-ion batteries and, more recently, in sodium-ion battery electrolytes. Sodium-ion batteries use low-cost, and benign metals. Sodium is significantly more abundant than lithium, so it is possible to produce a larger quantity of EV batteries at a lower cost. Sodium-ion batteries would not require costly factory redesigns to be put into production because it would use existing technology. Sodium-ion battery anodes are carbon based, similar to lithium-ion batteries.
Chinese battery manufacturer CATL supplies Li-ion batteries for auto manufacturers including Tesla and produces 30 percent of global battery needs. CATL states that “Sodium-ion batteries could offer greater fast-charging performance than current Li-ion cells, along with lifecycle and safety performance that matches or exceeds that of our own LFP-based lithium batteries.” CATL also points to “sodium-ion’s impressive low-temperature performance where the chemistry sees less capacity-fading and less performance-fading than lithium-ion, which is known to struggle in cold climates.” CATL has begun small-scale commercial deployment of sodium-ion batteries in July 2021 and plans to ramp up the sodium-ion supply chain through to 2023. The main attraction of sodium-ion batteries is sustainability. (CATL news July 29, 2021)

About Canada Silver Cobalt Works Inc.
Canada Silver Cobalt Works Inc. recently discovered a major high-grade silver vein system at Castle East located 1.5 km from its 100%-owned, past-producing Castle Mine near Gowganda in the prolific and world-class silver-cobalt mining district of Northern Ontario. This discovery has the highest silver resource grade in the world, with recent drill intercepts of up to 89,853 grams/tonne silver (2,621 oz/ton Ag). A drill program is underway to expand the size of the deposit with an update to the resource estimate scheduled for Q1 2022.
In May 2020, based on a small initial drill program, the Company published the region’s first 43-101 resource estimate that contained a total of 7.56 million ounces of silver in Inferred resources, comprising very high-grade silver (8,582 grams per tonne un-cut or 250.2 oz/ton) in 27,400 tonnes of material from two sections (1A and 1B) of the Castle East Robinson Zone, beginning at a vertical depth of approximately 400 meters. Note that mineral resources that are not mineral reserves do not have demonstrated economic viability. Please refer to Canada Silver Cobalt Works Press Release May 28, 2020, for the resource estimate. Report reference: Rachidi, M. 2020, NI 43-101 Technical Report Mineral Resource Estimate for Castle East, Robinson Zone, Ontario, Canada, with an effective date of May 28, 2020, and a signature date of July 13, 2020.
CCW has 39,017.96 hectares of electric vehicle (EV) battery metals exploration properties (containing nickel, copper and cobalt) with 15 properties in Quebec and 1 in Northern Ontario. Exploration is underway at the Graal massive sulphide formation in Northern Quebec. Drill core has been encouraging with initial XRF results up to 2.79% nickel and 25.68% copper in hole NRC 21 03; lab results are still pending.
Canada Silver Cobalt’s flagship silver-cobalt Castle mine and 78 sq. km Castle Property and recently acquired properties in Ontario and Quebec feature strong exploration upside for silver, cobalt, nickel, gold, and copper. With underground access at the fully owned Castle Mine, an exceptional high-grade silver discovery at Castle East, a pilot plant to produce cobalt-rich gravity concentrates on site, a processing facility (TTL Laboratories) in the town of Cobalt, and a proprietary hydrometallurgical process known as Re-2Ox (for the creation of technical-grade cobalt sulphate as well as nickel-manganese-cobalt (NMC) formulations), Canada Silver Cobalt is strategically positioned to become a Canadian leader in the silver

  • Moin @Minehunter,

  • Gravity Pilot Plant Installed at Canada Silver Cobalt's Temiskaming Testing Labs for High-Grade Silver Tailings Testing

The installation of the gravity pilot plant at Temiskaming Testing Labs will be commissioned to optimize plant performance. It is designed to process high-grade stamp mill tailings and waste rock into concentrate feed for the Re-2Ox process.
Coquitlam, British Columbia--(Newsfile Corp. - January 18, 2022) - Canada Silver Cobalt Works Inc. (TSXV: CCW) (OTCQB: CCWOF) (FSE: 4T9B) (Canada Silver Cobalt or the Company) is pleased to announce that the company will begin testing high-grade stamp mill tailings from the Beaver mine and the Castle mine once commissioning of the gravity pilot plant is complete. The testing is expected to begin within 4 weeks.
    Highlights:

    • Company owns two of the three known high-grade silver stamp mill tailings in the Cobalt camp.
    • Beaver tailings were sonic drilled by the company last year with silver grades from 314 to 14 grams per tonne. A total of 354 meters of sonic drilling in 127 holes was undertaken (see Press Release February 5, 2021).
    • The reintegrated Re-2Ox process will be tested for the recovery of silver from the gravity concentrate.

Canada Silver Cobalt Works CEO Frank J. Basa, P.Eng., states, "The company will be emulating a successful historical development and business model used by previous mining companies in the Cobalt Camp that will potentially provide low-cost concentrate feed for the reintegrated Re-2Ox process."
    Gravity Pilot Plant:
The gravity pilot plant is closed loop with a water recycle step. It is a two-stage gravity process. The primary step is a spiral concentrator feeding the concentrate to a conventional gravity table. The company has ordered a third gravity concentrating piece of equipment and envisions it to be placed between the spiral and gravity table. The gravity pilot plant is designed to operate at one tonne per hour of high-grade silver tailings.
    Stamp Mill Tailings:
Once the high-grade silver ore was hand-cobbed from the mines, the lower-grade ore was processed by a simple process of crushing the rock with stamps. The stamps were heavy iron hammers that were dropped onto the ore to release the high-grade native silver from the waste rock. Banks of these stamps were lined up into one line in the machine and were lifted by cams and then dropped onto the silver ore. Water was the only other requirement that was used in the process. A very simple and effective process in that time to recover the high-grade native silver. The limitation of the process was that it could not recover the silver in the sulfides. This is the portion which the gravity pilot plant will potentially recover.

Canada Silver Cobalt Intersects High-Grade Silver Up to 6,188.43 g/t Ag with a Gold Equivalent of 74.67 g/t Au at Castle East
Coquitlam, British Columbia--(Newsfile Corp. - January 24, 2022) - Canada Silver Cobalt Works Inc. (TSXV: CCW) (OTCQB: CCWOF) (FSE: 4T9B) (the "Company" or "Canada Silver Cobalt") is pleased to announce a continued expansion of its silver deposit at Castle East with excellent intercepts from the Big Silver Zone containing high-grade silver and cobalt grades. The drill results will be included in the planned resource update expected by the end of Q1 2022.
    Drilling Highlights:

    • Big Silver intercept grading 6,188.43 grams per tonne (g/t) silver and 0.35% cobalt over 0.50m in hole CS-21-47 located 16m downdip from Big Silver's discovery hole CS-20-39 that graded 89,853.00 g/t silver (See press release January 29, 2021).
    • A second Big Silver intercept grading 2,509.41 g/t silver and 0.10% cobalt over 0.50m in hole CS-21-73, that is located an additional 20m downdip from the intercept in CS-21-47 noted above.

Matt Halliday, President and Chief Operating Officer, commented: "Big Silver is living up to its name with the latest intercept of 6,188 g/t silver which has a gold equivalent of 74.67 g/t. We are especially encouraged by the 36m of total downdip extension; this type of continued expansion will be very important for our next resource update. In addition, we can't wait to explore these structures further from underground after a ramp is constructed."
The upcoming resource update will include Big Silver and several other high-grade veins intersected at the Castle East deposit during the 53,000 meters of drilling conducted since the last resource estimate was published in May 2020.
The Company is also well-advanced in the process of obtaining permits for a ramp down to the high-grade deposit in order to conduct underground exploration to further expand the deposit and also to access high-grade bulk samples that it can process into silver dore bars at its TTL bulk processing facility in nearby Cobalt, Ontario. Discussions with the provincial government are underway, and baseline environmental studies are expected to be completed by mid-year with the permit application filed soon after. ...

hier ein paar Notizen dazu... (unvollständig)
    7,5M Oz Ag momentan.
Resource-update an.

Also besser man ist jetzt investiert.
