Galway Reports Encouraging Results And Provides A Drilling Update For The California Gold Project
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Toronto, Ontario: March 5, 2010 - Galway Resources Ltd. (GWY: TSX-V) is pleased to report results of additional channel samples collected from the California gold project. The channel samples were collected during the recently completed sampling program in and around the historic Pie de Gallo open pit. A total of 149 channel samples were collected from the three levels of the El Dorado mine. Sampling was done across veins and structures. Average grade for all samples is 13.3 grams per tonne gold (g/t Au). Gold values range from trace to 516.5 g/t (16.6 ounces per tonne). See Figures 1 and 2.
"We are extremely pleased with the high-grade gold and silver samples being collected in the El Dorado area," commented Robert Hinchcliffe, CEO of Galway Resources. "The results are consistent with preliminary samples collected last year and strongly suggest that the gold mineralization in the Pie de Gallo open pit extends to the southwest. Equally important, we have taken proactive steps to get the drilling program back on track, the details of which are provided below."
Highlights include:
40.7 g/t Au and 752 g/t silver (Ag) in 135 square meters of silicified, brecciated, quartz vein stockwork (27 samples, 2.0m average channel sample width, structure is approximately 19m long by 7.1m wide).
29.0 g/t Au and 260 g/t Ag over a strike length of 8.9 meters (4 channel samples, 1.8m average channel sample width).
8.8 g/t Au and 72 g/t Ag over a strike length of 15.0 meters (8 channel samples, 2.0m average channel sample width).
Silver values ranged from trace to 3,980 g/t (128 ounces per ton).
California Drilling Update
In response to lower than expected drill production, Galway has taken proactive measures. The Company has engaged another drilling company with a man-portable drill which is on-site and drilling with much improved production. In addition, Galway has entered into an agreement with CABO, an international drilling company, to drill up to 30,000 meters in the California district. CABO is mobilizing the first man-portable drill to California. A second drill will be mobilized later in March. To date, five holes have been completed for a total of 1,200 meters in the Pie De Gallo pit. Assays are pending.
Initial channel sampling of the El Dorado mine, which occurred in 2009, was restricted to only one level of the mine. The earlier results include 9.2 g/t Au over 130 meters (contained in 68 samples), including 27.3 g/t over 20 meters along multiple stacked zones (refer to the August 11, 2009 press release for details). More recent follow-up channel sampling in the Pie de Gallo area was designed to be a more comprehensive program. Samples lengths were 0.8 to 2 meters, taken across veins and structures (see Figures 1 and 2). The mineralization at El Dorado is contained in dark grey, silicified breccia with pyrite, and minor sphalerite. As at the Pie De Gallo open pit, veining is generally running east-west and northwest-southeast, and dipping north in two sets at 40º and at 75º. Mineralization remains open in all directions.
The Company maintains a rigorous quality control program using repeat assays, inserted blanks, and the use of certified standards from an accredited Canadian laboratory. All rock samples were submitted to SGS in Medellin, Colombia, and assayed using standard fire assay with atomic absorption techniques at SGS's lab in Lima, Peru.
Review by Qualified Person, Quality Control and Reports
In compliance with National Instrument 43-101, Mr. Mike Sutton P.Geo., is the Qualified Person responsible for the accuracy of this news release. All samples were assayed by Metallic Screen test by SGS at its Callao, Peru minerals laboratory after preparation at the SGS preparation facility in Medellin, Colombia. The Company maintains a rigorous quality control program using repeat assays, inserted blanks, and the use of certified standards from an accredited Canadian laboratory.
True widths are 75% to 100% of sample widths.

Galway Intercepts High-Grade Gold in Three of its First Seven Drill Holes at its California Concessions in Colombia
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Toronto, Ontario: April 15, 2010 - Galway Resources Ltd. (GWY: TSX-V) is pleased to announce that it has received assay results from the first seven drill holes from the first phase of diamond drill exploration on its wholly-owned Pie De Gallo property in the California area of Colombia. Three of the seven drill holes have significant intercepts of approximately 30 grams of gold per tonne (g/t Au). Moreover, as Table 1 on page 2 shows, there were 21 notable intercepts of gold mineralization contained in the first seven holes, the thickest of which was 31 meters containing 2.9 g/t Au, while the highest grade was 32.8 g/t Au over 3 meters. The California properties are located adjacent to and along strike with Ventana's La Mascota discovery, and Greystar's Angostura gold deposit, which contains a NI 43-101 resource of 11,549,000 ounces Au averaging 1.09 g/t Au.
"These first results confirm Galway's belief that significant high-grade gold deposits exist on its Colombian properties. A second man-portable rig will begin drilling on Monday, which will allow Galway's drill program to progress more rapidly. The drill program is designed to test the main mineralized structures and other mineralized structures we are discovering through our exploration efforts," cites Robert Hinchcliffe, President and CEO of Galway Resources.
Drill Hole Results
The Company is pleased to announce significant high-grade gold assay results from drill hole sampling. Some of the highlights include:
22.4 g/t Au and 164 g/t silver (Ag) over 4.5 meters (m) (including 32.8 g/t Au and 246 g/t Ag over 3m), from 317-321.5m downhole, from GWY-01
11.7 g/t Au over 1.5m (from 67.2-68.7m) and 3.4 g/t Au over 3.3m (from 89.7-93.0m) from GWY-01
2.9 g/t Au over 31.0m (including 29.1 g/t Au over 1.5m) from 115.5-146.5m downhole, from GWY-02
3.6 g/t Au over 10.5m (from 132.3-142.8m) from GWY-03
3.2 g/t Au over 1.5m (from 36.5-38.0m) and 1.4 g/t Au over 10.4m (from 6.5-17.0m) from GWY-05
4.4 g/t Au over 6.0m (from 71.5-77.5m) including 1.5m of 15.5 g/t Au from GWY-06
30.0 g/t Au over 3.0m (from 46.5-49.5m) from GWY-07
The first seven drill holes are located within the Pie de Gallo open pit, where surface sampling returned 28m of 16.6 g/t Au, and 34m of 3.8 g/t Au along dark grey silicified breccia zones.
GWY-01 through GWY-04 were drilled from the same drill pad. The 22.4 g/t Au and 164 g/t Ag over 4.5m in GWY-01 is a new discovery. This new discovery will be followed up with further drilling, MMI soil survey and I.P. geophysics. GWY-02 and GWY-03 were drill tests to determine the attitude of the main structural trend in the Pie de Gallo open pit. GWY-04 was a wildcat test hole looking for mineralization and additional structures in the hanging wall of the main trend; no significant mineralization was found.
GWY-05, the first hole drilled with the new man portable drill, was designed to test the structure underneath high grade outcrops in the open pit. At 56 meters it encountered an unknown historic mine and had to be terminated. GWY-06 was designed to drill across and test the mineralized structures in the open pit. GWY-07 was designed to test the down dip extension of other high grade outcrops in the open pit. All drill holes, except GWY-05 which was terminated early, achieved their objectives and have greatly improved our understanding of the geology and structural controls of the gold mineralization.

This week's unsolicited bid by EBX Group Ltd. for Ventana Gold Corp. (VEN.TO) will likely lead to
further consolidation of Colombian-focused gold miners, according to Matthew Zylstra, an analyst at
Northern Securities.
The Financial Post reports Zylstra identified companies who operate in close proximity to Ventana as
potential takeover targets, including Galway Resources Ltd. (GWY.TO), Greystar Resources Ltd.
(GSL.TO), and CB Gold Inc (CBJ-TO).
GWY is down 2 cents at $1.05. GSL is up 2 cents at $5.21. CB Gold is 2 cents higher at $1.03.
"Our preference is for shares of Greystar Resources, primarily because of the company's large,
defined gold resource; however, environmental permitting continues to be a major problem,"
he reportedly wrote in a note to clients.
Zylstra reportedly said Greystar shares could get a boost as early as next week if the outcome of a
public hearing scheduled for November 21 results in positive permitting news. At the same time,
he reportedly expects the stock to receive more attention in the days ahead as news on the
Ventana bid develops.

GALWAY INTERSECTS 15.7 M OF 8.0 G/T GOLD AND THICK INTERVALS IN THE GAP BETWEEN THE PIE DE GALLO AND NORTHEAST ZONES
Mar. 1, 2011 (Canada NewsWire Group) --
TORONTO, March 1 /CNW/ - Galway Resources Ltd. (GWY: TSX-V) is pleased to announce assay results from six additional drill holes from its diamond drill exploration program on the Company's California property in Colombia. All six holes returned between three and five intercepts of significant gold mineralization, half of the holes intercepted over 90 meters of over 1 g/t gold, and all of the holes returned silver mineralization as well. Galway's California property is located adjacent to, and along strike to the southwest of Ventana's La Bodega/La Mascota project, and three km to the southwest of Greystar's Angostura project, which is also along strike. Galway's California property is at lower elevations than both Ventana's La Bodega/La Mascota and Greystar's Angostura projects, and is not subject to development restrictions associated with Páramo legislation. Galway also owns a previously-reported 360 meter-long fractional land position within the main La Mascota mineralized structure (click here to view map, and for a more complete summary refer to Galway's December 15, 2010 press release). Ventana is in the midst of being acquired by AUX Canada, a company owned by Mr. Eike Batista, for in excess of $1.5 billion in cash.
Four of the new holes Galway is reporting, GWY-82, GWY-84, GWY-85 and GWY-87, were drilled in the gap area and from the same two drill pads as the two discovery holes for this area, GWY-76 (16.5 meters grading 8.1 g/t gold) and GWY-79 (22.0 meters grading 1.2 g/t gold) (refer to Galway's February 9, 2011 press release). The holes being reported today confirm the presence of thick intervals of gold mineralization located between the significant results previously received for the Pie de Gallo and Northeast Zones. This strongly enhances Galway's view that the Pie de Gallo and Northeast Zones are actually part of the same continuous mineralized structure that stretches at least 600 meters from Galway's common border with Ventana to the southwest through the Pie de Gallo open pit. This 600 meters doesn't include the San Celestino Zone where Galway has also previously reported significant mineralization, such as 11.0 meters grading 9.9 g/t gold in GWY-22, 25.0 meters grading 3.6 g/t gold in GWY-26, 7.2 meters grading 7.6 g/t gold in GWY-23 and 40.5 meters grading 1.5 g/t gold in GWY-29, among others. If the Company is able to bridge the gap to the San Celestino Zone, the continuous mineralized corridor could be extended to 1.2 kilometers in length.
"We continue to be pleased with the successes achieved in our California exploration program, and are encouraged by our ability to identify a long, continuous corridor of strong, near-surface gold mineralization. It is occurring at a time when we are about to embark on our Vetas drilling program, which is set to begin within the next few weeks," cites Robert Hinchcliffe, President and CEO of Galway Resources.
Gap Area (between the Pie de Gallo and Northeast Zones) Highlights:
GWY-87

GWY-82
* 2.0 meters grading 8.7 g/t Au
* 7.5 meters grading 1.6 g/t Au, including 1.5 meters of 5.1 g/t Au

* 6.0 meters grading 0.8 g/t Au
* 4.5 meters grading 0.8 g/t Au and 11.8 g/t Ag
All maps and sections associated with this press release and a complete summary of drill hole assay results provided in Table 1 can be found on Galway's website at http://www.galwayresources.com. A 0.5 g/t Au lower cutoff grade was applied in determining all intervals provided in this news release. No upper cutoff grade was applied.
Two of the thickest intervals of gold mineralization being reported, 93.0 meters grading 1.5 g/t gold and 23.2 g/t silver in GWY-85 and 99.0 meters grading 1.3 g/t gold and 37.1 g/t silver in GWY-87, begin at surface and 72.0 meters downhole, respectively. However, GWY-87 has two other thick mineralized intervals, including 22.5 meters grading 0.9 g/t gold and 31.2 g/t silver and 34.5 meters grading 0.7 g/t gold, with the 22.5 meter interval also starting at surface and the 34.5 meter interval starting 29.5 meters downhole (7.0 meters after the 22.5 meter interval). The mineralization in GWY-79, GWY-82, GWY-85 and GWY-87 appear to correlate well with GWY-37, which contained 121.5 meters grading 2.7 g/t Au, GWY-58, which contained 96.0 meters grading 1.7 g/t Au, and GWY-55, which contained 70.0 meters grading 1.7 g/t Au plus 13.5 meters grading 2.3 g/t Au, amongst several others.
Mineralization encountered in GWY-76 and GWY-84 appears to correlate well with intercepts reported for GWY-79, GWY-82, GWY-85 and GWY-87 located 65 meters to the northeast. The northern-most vein in hole GWY-84 (12.0 meters grading 5.0 g/t) lines up with a high grade intercept in GWY-19, which returned 1.5 meters of 109.5 g/t gold and 42.5 g/t silver, and with the intercept of 16.5 meters grading 8.1 g/t in GWY-76. The southern-most vein in hole GWY-84 (18.4 meters grading 2.3 g/t Au and 10.4 g/t Ag) lines up with the southern-most vein in hole GWY-36 (46.7 meters of 0.5 g/t), located 140 meters to the northeast. Both of these intervals terminated in mineralization, with GWY-84 ending 348 meters below surface and GWY-36 ending 338 meters below surface. This clearly indicates that, not only is Galway finding significant gold mineralization beginning at surface, but that exploration potential exists at depth as well. Mineralization in the Northeast Zone has been identified from surface to a depth of 350 meters, over a strike length of 220 meters and a width of 135 meters. Mineralization in the Northeast Zone remains open in all directions.

Remember Ventana? Things heating up in northeast Colombia.
Brazilian multi-billionaire Eike Batista said Friday that he has
sold a 49% stake in his AUX gold unit to an undisclosed buyer, who he will announce in September, for an undisclosed amount. The purchaser isn’t a gold company, he said. Bloomberg, citing a person with knowledge of the transaction, reported that the buyer of the $2 billion stake is the Qatar Investment Authority. EBX Group Co., Batista’s Rio de Janeiro-based holding company, decided to sell a stake in AUX after shelving plans to take the company public. Batista's AUX paid $1.05 billion last year to buy Ventana Gold and its flagship La Bodega/La Mascota property in Colombia. Bloomberg noted that in October Batista said AUX is worth $5 billion and has 7.2 million ounces of gold reserves. TSX Venture-listed Galway Resources and CBJ Gold are exploring/developing high-grade gold projects in the same vicinity of AUX's La Bodega/La Mascota property. Galway's primary projects are the California and Vetas gold projects, located in northeast Colombia. The California property is located adjacent to and along strike with AUX's La Bodega/La Mascota property. While, Galway's Vetas property is located 8 km southeast of California. Galway is focused on having independent NI 43-101 resource estimates completed on both California and Vetas in 2012. CB Gold's Vetas Gold Project, which is adjacent to Galway's Vetas project, is located 10 km south of AUX's La Bodega/La Mascota property.
---
Zitat Robert Hinchcliffe, CEO von Galway: "Given the successful results seen at Machuca, Galway has deferred completing its initial resource estimate in order to incorporate the Machuca results into the estimate."

Tungsten-Moly in US ebenfalls.
Gruss,
